So sayeth the Scott Bach, President of  the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs [above]. His statement follows the Garden State AG’s response to their lawsuit against the State of New Jersey’s “extreme and subjective handgun carry laws.” [Click here to download the pdf.] “As in its previous papers, the Attorney General again trashed the Second Amendment, arguing that the right to bear arms does not apply outside the home, and that New Jersey’s carry laws are constitutional and necessary to protect the public from those who legally carry firearms,” Bach adds. Will this stand? Not if the Second Amendment Foundation and the ANJRPC have anything to say about it. And they do. “With the help of our members and supporters we will fund this legal action all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court just like we did with McDonald vs. Chicago. This case will impact states all across the country.”

  1. i left NJ and never looked back. got tired of the high taxes, tolls, potholes etc etc.
once i went to the police station to get the paperwork to posses a firearm. they handed me a stack of paperwork to fill out that must have been over 50 pages. im currently convincing the rest of my family to move away too. btw its not just me, there is a huge southward migration due to the policies in NJ. i wont play your game NJ ill simply take my ball and go home 🙂

  2. Why would anyone think a state that doesn’t even allow you to pump your own gas would allow you to carry a firearm?

It wasn’t much, but I just contributed to their legal fund. If you can, please consider helping them out with this.

  3. Well, I hope you didn’t move to CT. This place is following in NJ footsteps of the past. Hi taxes and antigun environment. I think they are looking to make criminals out of citizens just so they can collect money from them in fines and court cost. The only thing we need is a real governor, like NJ, that can think of real people solutions. Instead we have gunophobic tax-aholic for one. I’ve discussed with my wife about getting out of CT and the first things I said was anywhere except Jersey, Mass, Cali, and Il

  4. We’re the government.. You will bow down before our illustrious majesty…. peasant!

  5. “… the Attorney General again trashed the Second Amendment, arguing that the right to bear arms does not apply outside the home… This a curious parsing of the 2nd Amendment. If the right to “bear” arms does not apply outside the home, does it mean that we are only entitled to carry them from room to room? Certainly the right to “keep” arms refers to possession, while the right to bear arms is something different.

There are none so blind as those who will not see…

  6. Rich B. I thought we were complaining about NJ and it’s anti-gun attitude. Isn’t the Governor (Christy) a republican? And isn’t the current AG appointed by said republican Governor Christy. And didn’t he (Christy) just cut the police in some of the most violent cities in NJ, and now won’t let his citizens defend themselves? Did all of you who have responded forget that little bit of information, or was it intentional?
