A newly released ABC News/Ipsos poll confirms what most of America’s gun owners already knew; that Joe Biden is a failure at addressing crime and especially gun-related violence, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.
The survey, released over the weekend, shows only 36 percent—slightly more than 1 in 3 Americans—approve of Biden’s handling of the deteriorating crime problem. As for his response to violent crimes in which firearms are used, the data is even worse, with only 32 percent approval, and that’s down from 39 percent recorded in an October poll.
“Joe Biden is an unmitigated disaster,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “Among important independent voters, he gets even lower marks. Only 1 in 4 independent voters approved of how he is handling so-called ‘gun violence,’ according to the ABC poll. We’re seeing criminals running rampant in our cities and police unable to do their jobs. It should be no wonder why millions of Americans have bought guns for the first time, just to protect their homes and families. And what has been Biden’s response? He wants to ban semiautomatic rifles and 9mm pistols for law-abiding gun owners. He’s taking absurd to a new level.
“Because of Biden’s and the Democrats’ failure in protecting the public, more people are using firearms to protect themselves and their families than in recent memory,” he added.
“Back on October 11,” he recalled, “pollster Scott Rasmussen reported that 53 percent of voters think having police crackdown on gangs would be much more effective at reducing violent crime than adding new restrictions on honest gun owners.
Gottlieb pointed to major cities where homicides have spiked since Biden took office. Chicago, Philadelphia, St. Paul, Portland, Tucson, Austin, Albuquerque, New York City and Toledo all have reported spiking murder numbers with two weeks remaining in the year.
“The ABC News/Ipsos poll has Biden failing on other issues, including the economy and foreign affairs,” Gottlieb noted. “With less than a year in office, Joe Biden has repeatedly demonstrated his lack of leadership skills. Anyone else might be embarrassed, but Biden just seems oblivious.”

What makes anyone think the Democrat Party power brokers would send Harris out to pasture? She is a woman, she is a minority, and she is dark complected (half black and half Asian Indian). Such a candidate for President of the United States is the Holy Grail of Democrat election strategy.
I would have to see some authenticated and incredibly compelling internal documents from the Democrat Party stating that they will not move Harris forward as their leading candidate for President in the 2024 election before I would believe in a Hillary placement.
Furthermore, making Harris their candidate means they cannot lose. Either she wins the election and they get to tout and celebrate installing the first minority black woman as President. Or she loses the election and Democrats blame it on “Systemic Racism”–demanding more shame/grovelling/restitution from the public and cranking up their efforts on that front.

The people who approve of Biden’s performance are dyed-in-the-wool Democrats as well as people who have no idea what is going on.
To be completely honest, I expected that a significantly larger number of people would say that they approve of Biden’s performance.
My parents love the guy, they also listen almost exclusively to NPR and are in utter denial that Philly is experiencing record criminal activity. I can only imagine either or a mix of denial, ignorance (with complacency), and maybe some level of impaired mental function may apply for the remaining 36 odd %.

Don’t need to remind me, the half of my wife’s family that lived in Albany all voted last election and have all been dead since 2011. We were able to get 2 off the voter rolls but each ward does its best to keep people from being disenfranchised.

When people finally start to understand that all these distasteful policies are purposely designed to destroy the very fabric of our society then they will take more active steps to protect themselves and the Republic. Having more crime and gun violence provides them with an excuse to blame it on guns and gun owners not on their policies which created the problem in the first place. So wake up folks and start trying to understand that none of this is poor leadership. It is simply a plan to undermine the average American Citizen and put the ultimate power in the hands of the elite without having to worry about the laws or Constitution of the United States. While Trump may have been right on a lot of policy considerations, he was flat-wrong on that policy matter.
I agree 100%. But if we’re going to attack Biden for wanting to ban guns, we can’t say Trump isn’t as bad or that he’s a viable alternative. I mean, hell, at least Biden wants to legislate restrictions which is wrong but still due process — Trump just wanted to take them by fiat. On guns, honestly, I think they’re both utterly wrong. The balance of the Republican party is far better on guns, but on the issue, Trump is anything but a Republican — he was a registered Democrat for the entire 8 years of Bush’s time in office and, no offense, but he’s New York City to the bone.
Remember Trump continuing to push for that? Remember him bringing that up at his rallies? Me either. No one thought anything would ever come of that. Trump was talking tough without thinking, right after a tragedy. The only people that cling to that as a reason not to support Trump, or equate Trump to ANY Democrat, are those with full blown TDS.

We have to remember that the Racist face of gun control has usually been by Dems, many other faces of gun control have been backed by Reps. We have to realize that political parties want control, and they have little control if they do not control those with the guns.
Ronald Reagan was a gun control zealot, when he saw Black Panthers with long guns observing police procedure he went ballistic. Neither party is the party of civil rights and this is the problem. The party that claims it is for civil rights runs the ACLU and the southern poverty center, so they are anti civil rights for firearms.
Outside of a few key issues, Trump had a tendency to throw out ideas and test the waters. Good or bad. Like when he said he supported bringing back old school interrogation methods, but Mattis publicly dismissed it and Trump didn’t press it further.
