Charlotte, NC, (October 15, 2019) Angstadt Arms is proud to introduce the Blastwave 3-Lug QD blast shield and accompanying line of 9mm 3-lug flash hiders and muzzle brakes.
The Blastwave shield from Angstadt Arms reduces concussive forces on the shooter and those nearby by redirecting the blast down-range. It offers quick detach compatibility via the universal 3-lug interface. At just 1.33” in diameter and 2.5” in length, the Blastwave can slip inside most ultra slim handguards, allowing you to extend the length of your barrel when shooting unsuppressed.
The accompanying line of 3-lug muzzle adapters provides the ability to quickly attach a sound suppressor without sacrificing flash mitigation and recoil management when shooting unsuppressed. Featuring a universal 3-lug interface, the Blastwave muzzle devices can quickly interface with any pistol caliber sound suppressor.

That vid was lame
“That vid was lame”
I imagine so, for you.
No long-range shots of a desolate highway in summer with buzzards circling overhead waiting to leisurely eat a putrid road-kill lunch ripening in the mid-day sun…
*snicker*
Possum, you make TTAG fun to read… 🙂
Mind reader
Now they need to produce one with 5/8 x 24 threads for 300 BLK/308.
Indian Creek Design BFD is universal fit, requires no silly proprietary muzzle device, is 100% made in the USA and less expensive. hmmmm…
Yes, this is not for everyone… but it is for people who wish to run a 3 lug set up on thier PCC. I prefer a regular muzzle brake, but there is something to be said for the quick detach of the blast shield to throw on a suppressor. Especially for me on my CZ Scorpion Mirco due to the barrel ending right at the hand guard.
Not really understanding the point of this. Is 9mm muzzle flash/blast to much?
I’m must be shooting the wrong 9mm.
That’s what I was thinking.
9’s really that big of a prob ??? Maybe you just should man up & get a real gun & save your self $99.00,
Just saying.
For some reason I think using this would make me feel like I should have a Man Bun…….and sit down to pee.
I need a shield to save me from 9mm muzzle blast coming out of an 8-16 inch barrel?
Porque??
Maybe, if I could convince my wife and daughter to shoot, these would be helpful. Both barely break 100 lbs.
Nah…I will have to start them on .22s.
They have moved from “No way” to “Well, maybe…”
That is, 100 lbs each. Just to be clear. LOL.
so, is this a flash enhancer instead of a flash hider?
“No, this little doodad is my own invention. I call it a Loudener.”

This is for the dangerous effects of shooting the elusive .9mm
Lame.
I know, 9mm doesn’t have any muzzle blast or flash to speak of, but these should also work for .350 Legend, .357 Magnum, and .357 Maximum… provided your gun is threaded 1/2 x 28 or 1/2 x 36.
Unfortunately, my TC Encore barrels in .350 Legend and .357 Maximum are threaded 5/8 x 24, or rather, it’s unfortunate that Angstadt Arms doesn’t offer these products threaded 5/8 x 24, which is a better threading for large calibers such as .350 Legend and .357 Maximum.
I did see that Ruger’s American Rifle Ranch .350 Legend bolt gun is threaded 1/2 x 28, so at least there’s one rifle these will fit.
