Not so much, still like “look at this baby” one.
Yow, looks bloody to me. There goes our kitchen knives.
MEH…not special to me.
While the concept of the Soviet propaganda format is appropriate and powerful, over-all, perhaps we should stop with the Cyrillic lettering and specifically soviet icons and imagery. We are supposed to be making parallels to fascistic propaganda methods here, not necessarily calling the Moms and Mayors commie scum.
Their methods may be (are) fascist, but they can and will use the “You’re Communists!” theme to paint us as nut jobs.
And while the Cyrillic is visually amusing, phonetically it is just silliness.
It should also be noted that a good half of these posters are WW2 propaganda stuff about the exploits of German troops in occupied Soviet territories. Given the sheer number of resulting casualties as well as methodology (Holocaust, as in e.g. Babi Yar; but also wholesale burning of villages with all inhabitants locked up inside church or some other large buildings, gunning down people trying to escape through the windows – widely practiced as reprisal technique in both Ukraine and Belarus), it is a tad insensitive to appropriate the imagery like that.
So…..
can we PLEASE post this anti-anti agitprop to the Bloomberg page, where they’re posting their own silly pictures? I think they’d look quite at home.
Please? Please? Please?
In fact, I’m a do it. Please forgive me if I’m in some copyright violation or such, but I have to figure the action would be welcome.
This is really a weird thing to bring up, but how did the blood get on the blade in that specific place? It’s not on the tip so it’s not stabbing blood, it doesn’t cover enough area for it to be slash blood, and it has a big bloodless patch where blood would be if it were chopping blood.
The original propaganda artist didn’t do his research. What a hack! Check your facts! Unsubscribe!
