Admittedly, dancing to the above anti-gun rights “spoken word” agitprop would require free form interpretation. (Hint: LSD.) But you’ve got to give this women credit for rhyming and clever turns of phrase. “More guns? More guns?” she asks incredulously . Uh, yes. More guns. In the hands of law-abiding Americans (without evil in their hearts), defending themselves against violent attack. Or just having fun! Meanwhile, TTAG extends an open invitation to this young woman or any other poet who wants to have a gun rights “poetry slam.” That would be a hoot — especially as our man Leghorn is an accomplished violist.
Poetry. I don’t think that word means what they think it means.
Politics doesn’t belong in church. Worship belongs in church.
Oddly enough, seeds of the American Revolution were spread and took hold in both churches and taverns.
My money is on the taverns, don’t find hard pipe hitting musket loaders in a church.
just in Tarantino movies…….
So, houses of worship of all kinds?
Teaching morality belongs in church, and much in politics is immoral.
What doesn’t belong anywhere is telling individuals to cede their rights.
I disagree, for the most part. Free speech and all.
However, while I might support a minister’s right to speak what he or she feels, I reserve the right to disagree with it. Just because it comes from a pulpit doesn’t make it gospel.
Or dogma.
or law
“… and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.”
I’d got up and walked out.
“…shoot one another for spite of for sport…”
WHO is she speaking of? Me? Nope. Not based on my life or actions. Maybe she needs to take her little ego-slam poem out to the corner where her homies are popping caps.
That will surely help stop the violence.
I just threw up a little in my mouth…
Free speech? That’s great. Pay for it yourselves.
This is clearly political speech, though, not religious preaching. As such, the facility’s tax exempt status should be prorated by the amount of time devoted to this political activity.
These people demand free speech, but what they really want is tax subsidized speech.
Perhaps a poem or rap about 1.5 million black men dead or in prison for killing or robbing over drugs? Or why the shortage of black men allows them not to commit to being a husband or a father? Or why black men commit 50% of the crimes? Or a rap about high abortion rates for black women? Or a poem about democrats who lead a race to this condition and now dumping them for Latinos? Or the money politicians give to black community leaders for vote and continued cover from law enforcement?
No she won’t make a poem about those conditions because that’s to hard. Yapping a guns is so much easier.
” Or why black men commit 50% of the crimes?”
It’s important to note that black men commit nearly half of all murders in this country, which is astounding when you take into consideration the fact that they only make up 12-13 per cent of the population.

“It’s important to note that black men commit nearly half of all murders in this country, which is astounding when you take into consideration the fact that they only make up 12-13 per cent of the population.”
I think you want to divide that number by two. Black males make up only half of that 12%-13% figure..
And then since it’s mainly young black males between say 16 and 35, involved in these crimes, you want to divide by two again.
12÷2=6, 6÷2=3%
So, it’s closer to 3% of the population that is responsible for almost half the murders.
I don’t think we’ll be hearing any poetry about that anytime soon.
…
I think I just listened to the newest Dr. Seuss book.
I wish the video was high resolution…so I could pick out the armed members of the audience by looking for profuse sweating or shit-eatin’ grins.
Is it me or does this look like something from the 70’s??
