Benchmade has a long history of making high quality automatic knives. With autos being legal now in most states, and the last few falling thanks to the work of Knife Rights, they’re becoming more popular than ever. To feed this need, Benchmade just released another auto geared towards EDC use, the Mini Claymore OTF.

The new Mini Claymore is a double-action, out-the-front automatic. It’s a compact and lightweight alternative to many of the autos on the market. The Mini Claymore has a 3.02 inch CPM-D2 steel double-edged dagger blade, a lightweight Grivory handle. It’s available in Black or Ranger Green.

The Mini Claymore uses an ambidextrous thumb slide to activate the blade and comes with a pocket clip set up for tip down carry. The weight is only 2.97 ounces making this a knife that you could forget that you were carrying. At least until you need it.

The Mini Claymore is made in the USA and backed by Benchmade’s usual warranty and Lifesharp services. MSRP is $350.00.

  1. Knives have always been part of the second amendment. The choice for the poor who can’t afford a gun. The YT channel “Nutnfancy” has reviewed a much cheaper OTF knife. And less than $40. I own one. It’s been several years now. It still works very well.

I’m not paying several hundred dollars for a pocket knife.

  2. 350 bucks?!? I could easily get another gat for that🙄I had a knockoff which broke after 3 weeks from a pawnshop.

  3. Benchmade is on my perpetual exclusion list after they assisted local PD in destroying firearms, and they financially support several local Devilcrat politicians.
As far as I know, they have never repented of these unreasonable policies.
Benchmade needs to seriously consider who their potential friends are, and who they are not, and then act accordingly.
Lots of US companies make good knives (Buck and Kershaw quickly come to mind), so there is no need to fund our enemies by buying overpriced Benchmade knives.
