If you’re buying a car, you test drive it first. If you’re interested in an expensive bottle of booze or a box of nice cigars, you’d likely consider a taste at a bar or purchasing a single stogie first. Unfortunately, try before you buy is difficult or impossible to do with firearms, unless you know someone who owns the one you want.

While that fact may be good for TTAG’s gun review traffic, it would be ideal if prospective buyers could take guns for a test drive before breaking out the plastic. Well, Bergara will be hitting the road to do just that:

  1. Yeah … I’ll place a wager they’re not coming to my home town any time soon – too small.

But if they hit Denver or Albuquerque it might be worth the drive.

  2. Weird how they don’t tour out West where they’ll find more people with real uses for long range work.

      • They’re based out of Georgia, so these states make sense. Having worked with them before, they’ll likely extend the experience to other states barring the success of these first events.

  3. I’m only 3.5 hours from the NC location, but three days’ notice is too short for me. My next rifle will most likely be a Bergara anyway, but I’d love a chance to shoot a few of them first.

  4. New Hill is my neck of the woods! And I don’t have plans for Saturday morning but I do now!
