According to the local NBC station, Dallas Police expect “large” protests near this year’s NRA Annual Meetings. For days, the media has gleefully reported on all manner of gun control advocates bragging of plans to crash the NRA’s party.

How did these expected anti-gun counter-demonstrations go on Friday? Let’s face it: Big Gun Control threw a party Friday and (almost) no one showed up. In a city of over 1.3 million, less than a half-dozen die-hard gun-grabbing leftists turned out on to protest the first day of the NRA Annual Meeting. How pathetic, right?

Not only that, but Donald Trump joined Mike Pence speaking to NRA members at the Leadership Conference Friday.Ā  The mainstream media looked pretty thrilled with their assignment.

Just kidding. They would have looked happier picking up fresh dog feces bare-handed.

No, the mainstream media hate The People of the Gun. Instead of reporting fairly, media hacks attempt to marginalize the NRA family and treat us like second-class citizens.

For example, USA Today didn’t open their story about the 80,000 supremely polite and law-abiding NRA members expected to bring $100 million to the Dallas economy. Instead, the gun-hating scribes wrote of how “savvy young activists” planned to use the three-day event to “underscore their campaign” against the “powerful lobby for firearm makers.” Ā Really.

Here’s the USA Today’s coverage:

DALLAS ā€” The National Rifle Association’s annual conference in Dallas this weekend is its first since the high school killings in Parkland, Fla., and the savvy young activists who spawned a nationwide gun control movementĀ are using the three-day event to underscore their campaign with rallies and protests.

President Trump and Vice President Pence, along with about 80,000 NRA members, Ā wereĀ on hand at the downtown conventionĀ center for the gathering of the gun-rights advocacy group andĀ powerful lobby forĀ firearm makers.

The Civilian Disarmament Industrial Complex blames gun owners and the NRA for criminals’ misuse of guns ā€“ and even Islamic terrorist attacks in America ā€“ just as bigots blamed blacks for social ills many decades ago.

Gun grabbers say they donā€™t ā€œfeel safeā€ when good guys with guns are nearby, just like prejudiced white women in the 1940s and 50s didnā€™t ā€œfeel safeā€ with a black man sitting next to them on a bus or in a classroom.

Over time, those bigots lost the battle to segregate and marginalize African-Americans. And America became a better place.

So too will gun bigots lose their battle to relegate gun owners into second class citizen status, subject to arrest and imprisonment because we donā€™t ā€œknow our placeā€ and sit down, shut up and give up our guns quietly.

No, gun owners will celebrate their freedom this weekend in Dallas at the NRA Annual Meetings.

We wonā€™t sit down in the back of any buses or shut up. Instead, weā€™re going to fight back against those who would marginalize us and strip us of our rights.

The gun grabbers are planning more and flashier protests for Saturday. We’ll report, you deride.

  1. See, this is what happens when you don’t bus in and pay your protesters. :^)

  2. Support for gun control is waning, but you had better hope a loon doesn’t pull an apeshit right before a major election.

In the immediate aftermath, 2A support tends to dip 10+ percentage points for a few months…

    • count on it. they will find some mental midget to carry out an attack. it is what they do.

      • I’m not the conspiracy guy but I have a feeling you will be right.

        • Like a ‘Good Progressive’ who’s been given a devastating cancer diagnosis of 6 months left to live and decide to ‘take one for the team’ for the cause of ‘gun safety’.

And the Leftists will set up a GoFundMe for his bereaved family to pay off the family home and educate the kids.

No shit, I would not put it past them. They are filled with that much hatred for America that they would ‘break a few eggs to make an omelette’…

    • You know they never seem to time the Black Swann events right before an election. Of course if the team Red guys actually had a forceful response along the lines of a ā€œF off gun grabbersā€ then we wouldnā€™t have to worry about it.

      • Correct,RINO’s being such stalwart defenders of the 2 nd. Amendment and such.

  3. Irrelevant. They have huge sway in state Capitols and Congress and 90% of courts.

    • Sad but true. Protesters are just the small fish. Its the people with real power we need to worry about and vote out, including rhinos.

  4. “Gun grabbers say they donā€™t ā€œfeel safeā€ when good guys with guns are nearby, just like prejudiced white women in the 1940s and 50s didnā€™t ā€œfeel safeā€ with a black man sitting next to them on a bus or in a classroom.”

LEO’s are good guys, so is that why some of them are so hell bent on confronting LEO’s?

Maybe they have police carry flowers and pass out joints!

    • Just complaining about ..’ Don’ FEEL safe ‘ …. can trigger a Raid and seizure with no due process , gun owners will be first but soon this will endanger ALL citizens in the interest of
      STATE control ….. ” Division of PRE – Crime ” is established. — ( tin -foil , right … right ? )

STIGMA — Guns and gun owners are the new ‘ Colored ‘ to be segregated out. .It’s certainly not by accident as Eric Holder called for …” Brainwashing ” … young people at an early age to view guns like smoking and smokers —- ‘ All Bad , All The Time. ‘
The 2ND Amendment is the Pinnacle of Freedom , if we continue to allow is erosion it will soon be GONE ! — No other Right in The Bill Of Rights is as regulated, and tied down. Can you imagine needing a permit to comment here ? The main danger we now see is both Democrats and RINO’s want to GUT Due-Process and strip guns from people based only on a flimsy allegation and with – NO HEARING. These ‘ ex-parte ‘ Soviet tactics called ” Extreme Risk Protection Orders ” would be abused almost instantly, from a jilted ex lover to the state using it to silence opposition…… Bad Precedent.

Equally disturbing is the B.A.T.F. simply changing definitions of firearm terms to magically ” Justify ” banning any part or gun it wishes.A bump – stock is now a machine gun … because we say it is . No matter your opinion on bump stocks , if they can do this they can BAN anything …… ( No Abuse potential here ./s/ )

      • Just when we hear that “door to door confiscation is impossible in a nation with 400 million guns”, blue states come up with a way to do just that, one door at a time, using GVRO’s issued by easy-to-convince Obama-appointed judges.

Angry spouse or liberal neighbor now have veto power over your right to keep & bear arms. Is that oversimplifying?

        • Obama appointed judges? I don’t thinks so. Obama appointed–and could only appoint–federal court judges. GVROs are issued by state court judges, most of whom are elected, not appointed, except to an empty or newly created seat.

  5. More will show up to get Sam Micelli’s autograph when she pokes her head out.

  6. Aw c’mon those high scrool chillen have prom this week…or mebbe their just lazy tide/condom eating dipshites. Have fun in TexasšŸ˜Ž

  7. Human and civil rights. We need to pound that message.

  8. Friday was the paid travel day for the anti-gun protesters on contract. They will be out Saturday after a breakfast meeting for each cell.

  9. The media trotted out the “During NRA conventions gun deaths drop.” You have to dig but some things stand out.
First is the extent of the “drop.”
“the rate of firearm injury dropped from 1.5 per 100,000 on the dates adjacent to the convention to 1.2 per 100,000 during the convention” As the NRA convention is just 3 days. Does a .2 per 100,000 mean that much?
    Next is the time period:
“They investigated the idea by comparing hospital records for firearm injuries during convention days to the same number of days three weeks before and after the convention.” The first question should have been about what a daily measure of gun injuries looks like. Likely the daily rate goes up and down. Taking a random 3 day period could just as well show a decrease compared to the NRA convention. Then there other periods of time. How does hunting season compare. Did the hospital records come from all hospitals in the US or “selected” ones? Bottom line? Out of the US population of 326,000,000 what impact does a 3 day convention of 80,000 people have?
While the media makes much of this. The study confession is:
“However, the findings represent a correlation, not necessarily a cause-and-effect relationship. It’s unclear exactly why firearm injuries drop during NRA annual meetings and if there are any unknown outside factors at play, the researchers said.”

    • Facts mean nothing to the left. They contrive statistics like this and publish with headlines and the useful fools and snowflake followers will eat it up as “proof”.

    • So they mean to say the convention is filled with murderers so they aren’t out murdering?
By that reasoning neighborhood cookouts and block partys in Chicago should result in a drop in deaths too, right? Funny they seem to correlate with a jump in deaths.

      • yeah, no. the cookouts put the targets in plain open sight. plus, alcohol was involved.

  10. let’s be honest here… the weather has been terrible. Not as bad Friday, but still a steady rain most of the day. Let’s see the turnout today (Saturday) with sunny skies before we pass judgement. I think the turnout will not be great, but nowhere like the picture above.

  11. Don’t forget the entire DFW Metroplex has over 7 million residents within an easy drive of the convention! We can round down those few “protesters” to zero!

  12. To be better than national media and USA Today, make sure to report fairly. If later on 500 people show up to protest, don’t pretend only 7 showed up. We should know.

  13. The Civilian Disarmament Industrial Complex, little do they know that the Negotiating Rights Away since 1934 are aiding them in their goal along with the most Pro 2 nd. amendment president to come down the pike .

  14. Well let’s see, Texas a pro gun State, 80,000 NRA ” gun toting maniacs”/ sarc, and I wanna go down there and wave a Fuck Your Gun Rights sign. Uh no thanx

  15. Mr. Boch, I am honored you borrowed that analogy I commented on yesterday.

    You ‘wordsmith-ed’ it better than I did… šŸ™‚

  16. In Arizona, we had multiple major street corners packed with Red For Ed protestors during the teachers strike. Everyone thought it was a great cause. People honked their horns in support as they drove past. In comparison, those pitiful antigun protestors look so silly, all I can think of is the giggling Duck Hunt dog. šŸ˜‚

  17. The should be picking up dog shit with their bare hands.

They would certainly be doing society more good and actually earning their paycheck.

  18. ā€“ just as bigots blamed blacks for social ills many decades ago

Sooooooo they didn’t crap in my yard?.

  19. “Gun grabbers say they donā€™t ā€œfeel safeā€ when good guys with guns are nearby, just like prejudiced white women in the 1940s and 50s didnā€™t ā€œfeel safeā€ with a black man sitting next to them on a bus or in a classroom.”

    Er, no.

The open carry mob turn up en masse, carrying their rifles openly.

In their opinion, they are patriots, heroically defending the Second Amendment.

To everyone else they are a bunch of gun bullies, inflicting themselves like an army of occupation, as if 1776 never happened.

    Some examples:

Turning up outside a restaurant within which were four mothers from Mrs Watt’s organisation
The same group machine gunning a female mannequin at a gun range
Two open carry stalwarts turning up locked+loaded outside a protest rally

Ultimately, there are a lot of votes up for grabs, and US gun owners have got to decide if they want those votes or not. Concealed carry looks like a better choice.
