The U.S Army’s Fort Lee base in Virginia is reporting the end of an active shooter incident. Their Facebook page says the incident occurred at Building 5020 at the Combined Arms Support Command. “An all clear has been issued by the Fort Lee installation operations center at 9:50 a.m. The law enforcement event is over.” Quoting an unnamed official source, Fox News reports that “a single female shooter — described as ‘disgruntled’ — has been detained by authorities at the base in central Virginia. She appears to have been injured during the shooting. No other injuries to personnel have been reported at this time.”

      Whenever a muslim or alleged muslim does something I am to be held responsible for some reason. Same applies to people who like guns.

      • So are you Muslim? I am a gun owner. And the one thing I do is speak out against ignorant, irresponsible and careless gun owners. if you have read any of my responses you will constantly hear one theme from me. Gun owners are responsible for keeping their own back yard cleaned up. Every time some nut case breaks loose and goes to town on a school that is one step closer to the day we have the second amendment repealed. And if we as gun owners do nothing to prevent it then we as gun owners are responsible for what happens. It is our right and our freedoms. If we the owners do nothing to create a safe and sane world then we disserve to lose those rights. The same goes for Muslims! If you are willing to sit by and let some radical group turn your religious views into Godzilla that is your religion not mine. IT is your religious extremist that are making threats. Do you really think for one moment that I am going to support such actions or condone the religion that allows it free reign? Just as the average citizen is going to get tired of nut cases shooting up schools will sooner or later result in the second amendment being repealed. It is our right, our responsibility to make sure that that right is not lost because of some radical fringe. We as gun owners must be on the front line to make sure that stupid, irresponsible and dangerous acts are identified, and actions are taken to prevent it from happening again. And no, the answer is not to buy more guns and ammo.

        • What do you think we do? Problem is, it doesn’t fit the narrative that muslims are bloodthirsty monsters who will burn your women and rape your churches the second they get the chance.

          What saddens me is that gun owners face the same issue yet a good deal of them are against us.

          Also, it ain’t fun being part of three (3) disliked groups. Gun enthusiasist/owner, muslim and of course the classic foreigner/immigrant. So I have a bit of experience being slandered and hated.

    Fort Lee has given the ALL CLEAR following an incident at Fort Lee earlier this morning.

    Fort Lee first responders responded to a report of a female Soldier with a gun inside the Combined Arms Support Command Headquarters, Bldg. 5020 at approximately 9 a.m. today.

    Early reports indicate the Soldier turned the weapon on herself and fired one shot, injuring herself. Her condition is not known at this time.

    Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are on scene and investigating the incident. Fort Lee officials take this incident very seriously and are fully cooperating with the investigation.

    • Perhaps you’d have time to read another (free) blog containing only the articles that meet your approval.

    • If it bothers you don’t read the stories. Those of us who are concerned about the antis using these incidents to justify revoking our rights and confiscation like to have this information shared and available with as much true details as possible.

    • Honestly, I agree, in the sense that without TTAG I wouldn’t be aware of them at all. They aren’t on the news were I live.

      I truly believed Newtown was an anomaly before I came here.

  6. Interesting. From the initial information, it sounded more like someone wore a shirt with picture of a gun on it.

  7. My bet is that she was raped and eveyone refused to do anything about it. She had her back against a wall and had no other option.

  8. In 85, we would get a lot of suicides and attempted suicides in Basic Training and Technical School. Some people cannot handle the pressure. We would also get people who think the military is their last chance, and freak when they find out they cannot make it. There was a reason that instructors would wear pistols during firearms training. Our Basic Training barracks were tall two story buildings. It was amazing how many suicidal people got enough velocity to pop their heads on the pavement below.

  10. Supposedly she walked thought the entrance, put a handgun under her chin and shot herself. The angle appears to have been a little bit off because she only managed to wound herself and not kill herself. I guess the bullet passed out through her jaw/lower face.

    But I’m not there and this is only the RUMINT.

  11. Half my family (my step mom was a former soldier– Private First Class, thank you) lives near/in that fort and this scares the absolute hell out of me. I was just there. YESTERDAY.
