“Dallas Police Chief David Brown has confirmed at least 11 police officers were shot and at least five were killed in an attack by two snipers in downtown Dallas at a protest of officer-involved shootings across the country on Thursday night,” wfaa.com reports. [It’s now clear there was one shooter on the ground and one in an elevated position.] “Dallas police sources confirmed to News 8 early Friday one suspect is dead after a long standoff with police. A female suspect was taken into custody earlier in the night. It is unclear at this time if they are the only suspects involved.”

  1. Any word on the “ethnicity” of the perpetrators? I’ve noticed this information is still lacking.

Any one willing to place bets they are registered Democrats and Obama supporters?

  2. Intriguing…total media shutdown on the suspects and not asking who, but continuously playing gunfire. CNN just got the Mayor to say the female is a light skin African American And cryptically said we have to toughen up on Issues to deal with bad guys overseas. The reporter paused and DID NOT FLOW UP ON that statement.

  3. I’d expect you guys to not throw the “sniper” term around like the rest of the idiots in the media. How about “terrorists” or “criminals”?

    • They were obviously snipers, they were clearly using “automatic sniper rifles, used by our troops in Iraq”

    • “A sniper is a marksman or qualified specialist who operates alone, in a pair, or with a sniper team to maintain close visual contact with the enemy and engage targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the detection capabilities of enemy personnel.”

The term fits the shooter(s) in this case.

  4. Blow back. The shooter(s) almost certainly shot all people who had nothing to do with the bad shoots around the country, but, of course, it was predictable that this would happen sooner or later.

  5. Root cause, Political Correctness. Police ordered NOT to wear body armor so as not to intimate protesters. Now 5 dead. F.. community feel good policing
