“The Democratic Party’s resistance to holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress is crumbling,” dailycaller.com reports. “Utah Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson said he plans to vote in favor of holding Holder in contempt over his refusal to comply with a subpoena into the Operation Fast and Furious scandal . . . To make matters worse for Holder, President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party, more Democrats are expected to join Matheson in holding Holder in contempt. House Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer, the House Democrats’ chief vote-counter, isn’t even sure how many Democrats will break ranks.” The vote will be held tomorrow, the same day the Supreme Court rules on President Obama’s health care mandate.

  1. I think a good place to start looking for likely candidates is the June 3, 2011 letter that 31 Democrats signed telling Obama to demand Holder deliver answers. It gives me hope that there are those out there who aren’t playing party politics and are actually interested in getting to the truth.

  2. Tomorrow is looking like a good day for Barry to stay in bed till noon then hit the links.

  3. It is good to see some of the Democratic party isn’t going to sit by rank and file. The GOP rhinos should do the same on things. My only hope is that moving forward that who ever is in the white house will have more respect for the constitution and also display unwavering leadership to bring everyone in a room and tell them you are not going home until we hash out what ever it is..

    • Not just how the Constitution applies here in the US, but how we conduct our foreign affairs. Let’s not forget about all the dead Mexican citizens and Iraqis directly resulting from lies during the past two Presidencies. It’s no wonder other countries see us as a tyrannical bully.

      • I lived over seas for almost a decade. People view us like we are idiots. The Russians are playing Obama, Mexico is corrupt and can’t do a thing for itself.
He might be held in contempt, but I would be suprised if he ever goes to jail.

  4. I hope the vote is overwhelming, and I can’t wait to hear the “talking heads” of mass media explain it. Plus I want to hear from the Reverands Sharpton and Jackson on what this all means. Which reminds me, I need to pick up the BIG box of pop corn and some liquid refreshments for the “show”.
