CCRKBA Hitting the Airwaves With HR 127 Gun Control Bill Alert

From the CCRKBA . . .

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is launching a multi-network television advertising effort next week to alert the nation’s gun owners about H.R. 127, a gun control measure that takes extremism to a dangerous new level.

“We’re calling this the ‘SAVE2A.US’ campaign because that’s exactly what it is,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “H.R. 127, introduced by veteran anti-gun Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, is a dreadful piece of legislation mandating gun owner licensing and registration, mandatory psychological examinations of gun owners, mandatory gun owner insurance, mandatory minimum prison sentences for gun owners who do not comply, and bans on whole classes of firearms and original capacity magazines.

“Democrats are attempting to implement this legislation,” he continued, “and could take action within the next few weeks. Once again, Democrats are trying to turn your Second Amendment right into a government-regulated privilege, and we’re alerting gun owners across the country about this alarming new threat to the Bill of Rights.”

CCRKBA’s 60-second message will be broadcast 25 times, Gottlieb said, on the following networks: DirecTV, Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, the Weather Channel, HLN, OANN, the Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel and the Inspiration Channel.

Gun owners can visit SAVE2A.US or text SAVE2A to 474747.

“America’s gun owners are facing the most sinister attack on their Second Amendment rights I’ve ever seen,” Gottlieb observed. “Jackson Lee’s legislation is really just the tip of the iceberg, because with Joe Biden in the White House, Beltway Democrats are determined to destroy the Constitution’s cornerstone Amendment.

“Anyone who values their rights needs to get involved in this effort,” he concluded. “We are going toe-to-toe against an ominous piece of legislation that amounts to a clear and present danger to our firearms freedoms.”

With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (www.ccrkba.org) is one of the nation’s premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.

  1. HR 127 is too extreme to go anywhere. Seems like the efforts are better directed at a threat that exists or has a good chance of passing.

    • You are correct, the bill is just feel good posturing.

But I am in complete agreement that a public campaign like this is exactly the way to go to inform citizens about their rights and encourage them to advocate for the retention and advancement of individual liberties.

Instead of shouting and waving guns at the courthouse, this sort of public relations campaign is exactly what can change the hearts and minds of average Americans.

Unfortunately, it seems many conservative gun owners actually need the ego gratification and phallic deficit syndrome support of public display of firearms to intimidate the ‘libtards’.

  2. HR 127 is one of those things that will force the hand of SCOTUS on the slimmest of chances it gets through Congress. I’m not really worried either way.

Extreme, in your face, leaps on this issue from both sides usually don’t go anywhere. You have to sneak and chip your way when gun laws and gun rights are concerned.

    • This bill is to test the waters to see how far they can push things. Next will be a more “moderate” proposal (in their eyes).

  3. Until they are stacked high, wide, and deep, and made believers that American Patriots are serious about our Freedoms, Rights, and Liberties, Dems/Libtards/Socialists/Elitists/anti-Americans/One Worlders will keep calling these plays because they have been successful for them. A football team continues to runs plays that have been successful until a successful defensive nullifies that play. Play by the enemies’ rules, lose by the enemies’ rules. We have been losing since at least 1934. Put the opposition down for the count, walk away victor.

  4. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace.
I am the heart of the fight, wherever, whenever.
I carry Americas faith and honor against her enemies.
I am the Queen of battle. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,

They may as well shoot me now because complying with unconstitutional laws is Not in my family’s Code.
And whoever enforces this law ( I’m looking at you L E) are nothing but traitors.
Corruption in the White House was expected and We The People were told what must be done to stop it.
Perhaps I should reread the article, just skimming thru I became infuriated and may not have looked at things objectively.

    • Nope , put the turntable on 16rpm and it still reads just like 78, only sounds like the devil. Urrrggwagg blllaahhh gllugglug

      • Don’t get your knickers in a wad, it’s just posturing for campaign contributions, it won’t go anywhere.

And props to the Opossum, not many folks remember 16 RPM records.

  5. What we REALLY need to be concerned about is ‘progressive’ Democrats attempting to ‘sneak’ some of the language from H.R. 127 (or other gun ‘sense’ measures) into an omnibus bill that Congressional RINOs might feel ‘compelled’ to support.

  6. The 2A is BIG business on both sides. NRA, SAF, GOA, et el use those fears to pull in contributions. About time to invest in brass and lead and settle this whole issue once and for all……..probably cheaper… 🙂 🙂 🙂

  7. JoeyJ…I’d prefer not to have to use my collection of old and antique firearms for that purpose. However, I do have ammunition for all of them. For me, they are collectibles for occasional target shooting. I suppose it all depends upon one’s definition of ‘target’. I prefer my targets not to be of the flesh and blood variety.

    • How to increase your collection value?? A little patina and a little patriotic heritage make a collection even more valuable. A new in the box unfired firearm is to be admired. A firearm actually used in battle in defense of freedom is much more valuable. That NIB firearm will be confiscated, if freedom is not defended.
