This Rolls-Royce Phantom I, once owned by an Indian Maharajah, failed to sell at Barrett-Jackson over the weekend. It had quite a long list of value increasing characteristics, such as the original build sheet and original factory tool set, the Howdah gun (double-barreled shotgun pistol) in the passenger compartment, and the hand-cranked .450-caliber machine gun towed behind, as well as factory installed gun racks and a hidden safe. Despite all that, nobody wanted it badly enough to bid up over the $450,000 reserve price.

Further, once the state’s new concealed-carry law is fully in place, state police officials expect 400,000 applications in the first year for the $150 “carry” permits. “People say it’s the same ‘gun guys’ buying more guns,” said Todd Vandermyde, the National Rifle Association’s lobbyist in Illinois. “FOID proves that it’s just the opposite.”
The NRA has indicated that it plans to sue if California Gov. Jerry Brown allows the assault weapons ban bill passed by the legislature to become law. The law would ban the future sale of most semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines. The NRA-ILA wrote on its website that the law is unconstitutional and “would make unprecedented changes to California’s already unjust and byzantine ‘assault weapon’ law.”
Hyatt Gun Shop of Charlotte, NC, America’s largest gun shop, has been dropped by its credit card service provider, Authorize.net/CyberSource. The reason they were dropped? Because Hyatt Gun Shop — in what will come as a surprise to absolutely no one — sells guns. Authorize.net/Cybersource has been Hyatt’s service provider for over four years, but having apparently just discovered that a gun shop sells guns, notified Hyatt in a letter that they would be terminating their services effective September 30th for violating their service agreement, to wit: “the sale of firearms or any similar product.”

Was the shooter wearing Crocs? I guess the combat budget was totally spent on one very large gun and none left for proper gear.
Just from watching the videos I gather a few things about that part of the world. The official rifle and sidearm is an AK. The official military vehicle is a Toyota truck. The transport version carries at least 20 guys standing in the back. The assualt version has an old soviet AA gun tied down in the back.
Head gear is not optional and not ballistic resistent. The official BDU’s are jogging suits, probably from wal mart.
And the offical combat boot is a pair of flip flops. Go figure.
And I’ll bet that all the drones and smart weapons we’ve used over there haven’t killed as many of them as their own incompitence with the weapons they have as just demonstrated in the above video.

If I was rich instead of so darn good looking, that Rolls would be mine, even if I had to leave the machine gun behind. That is one fine automobile!!!!!!!
Is the Rolls street legal in the US? Is the machine gun street legal in the US? Is it really a machine gun if you have to hand crank it? Seems like turning a crank is more trouble than pulling a trigger on a semi-automatic.
A hand-cranked machine gun such as a Gatling Gun or the Bira Gun (the one which came with the Rolls) is not considered an automatic weapon for legal purposes, and is no more difficult to obtain than any other manually operated repeating rifle.
Well, other than the cost…
