isn’t it a better idea to carry pretty much the same thing everytime? or else you have to take inventory during a crisis to remember what you have today.
That’s my policy, but I’m sure there are people who don’t need such structure.
Priorities change with changing circumstances. Only you can decide what’s best to carry today vs tomorrow. That’s a judgement call you make based on your experience, where you’re going and what you’re doing. No one else can make that call for you.
You can however mitigate the issue to some extent by looking at your gear in terms of “lines” and setting those up based on how you go about your business.
To us non-OCD types, it really isn’t that complicated. Gun. Knife. Use if necessary.
gun. knife. cell phone (charged). credit cards and a little cash.
don’t make it over-complicated.
