When The People of the Gun contemplate criminals and crazies it reaffirms their belief that they need firearms to protect themselves and their families from evil. Anything that reduces that ability is A) dangerous and B) unconstitutional. When gun control advocates (and plenty of just plain folks) hear about a crime—especially one involving a gun—it reaffirms their belief that guns are too dangerous to allow “in the wild.” They believe civilian disarmament’s best for A) them and B) society. Bottom line: there is no middle ground. As we saw today in California, the battle lines have been drawn. This is going to get real ugly real fast. Meanwhile, more news from the front . . .
Bruce Krafft sends in video [above] of gunnies in line an hour before the civilian disarmament hearing at the MN State Capital.
Check out this url from usatoday.com: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2013/02/07/nra-interferes-with-atf-operations/1894355/ The headline’s no better: NRA actively worked to weaken gun law enforcement
nydailynews.com inadvertently shoots down the idea that one person with a gun [above] can’t make a difference against a tyrannical government:
After a bomb destroyed her home in Aleppo, killing her 7-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son, an English teacher vowed to take revenge on President Bashar al-Asaad’s troops. She is now one of the few women on the frontlines of the bloody conflict. ‘Now, I will not forget my children’s blood,’ she pledged, ‘and I promise to take revenge.’
Who doesn’t? Department of Homeland Security wants 100 orders of 100,000 rounds of hollow point nine and .40 and 40 orders of 100,000 rounds of ball nine. marketplace.fedbid.com

Don writes: “Check out some of the hardware in use by out local law enforcement in this gallery as they search for one of their own. They seem to have a little bit of everything! ARs Mini’s, MP5s….. And are those harbor cops using suppressed ARs/M4s? It must be rougher than I remember at the harbor.”
Glock-like trigger spreads to all S&W semis. “The new M&P pistol ad in Guns and Ammo March 2013 issue states: ‘Positive, Tactile Trigger Reset.’ So it looks like S&W is finally producing all the M&P’s with the same trigger pull/reset [like] the Shield’s: the Performance Center sear, a new slide stop assembly and a revision to the trigger bar.” Smith & Wesson forum
DrVino flagged CA Senator Steinberg’s civilian disarmament video. Here’s the response:
How about NEVER? Holder on gun bill: ‘If not now, when?’ ajc.com
The suppressors are so they don’t disturb the neighbors when they shoot the wrong person in a pickup that looks vaguely like the one they’re looking for.
mistaken identity. shot up 2 wrong trucks. Nobody cares. WTF.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve left my apartment, intending to get in my white GMC Sonoma and drive to school, only to find myself trying to open the door of my neighbor’s black Ford F-150.
Oh. Wait. I can! Zero.
Blue Toyota Tacoma != Grey Nissan Titan. Not even vaguely.
I frequently mistake beer trucks for my ambulance
Me too. Especially if the “mouse in a bottle” trick doesn’t work at Elsinore Brewery.
Or when they shoot a defenseless dog
Those cops are on a rampage. Shoot first, laugh later, shoot some more. What animals.
Who is a danger to the public now or who has always been?
How can you not notice there wasn’t a large dark skin man inside the truck? Oh right, because you started shooting immediately upon seeing a truck.
I thought it was to shoot peoples dogs before a dynamic entry into the wrong person’s house? (I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it.)
I don’t know many women who look like the cop either. The guy looks like a linebacker.
Today’s news report said two women in the truck, one shot in the hand and one in the back.
RF i just emailed this link to the info@ account, but since you put a daily digest up i think it fits in perfectly.
NY is fighting against SAFE Act one county at a time, http://www.cnycentral.com/news/story.aspx?id=857663#.URRaXI6wjvt
If we can get each county to do the same (even if we can only get every county but the city) it should prove overwhelmingly that the state of NY does not want anything like the SAFE act
~Nick
Nick, it’s like locking the barn door after the horses have run off.
even though it’s after it passed the more counties and sherrifs and other organizations that take a real stand against the SAFE Act the better it is for any court cases to repeal it.
Sure it’s the slow legal battle road now, but it’s either that or do nothing until the moment of confiscation, at which point things would get too ugly to turn back
Your legislature knew before they passed it that NYers didn’t want anything like the SAFE Act. Why do you think they rammed it through with no discussion? They clearly don’t care what the citizens or a bunch of county-level politicians think.

Looks like the S is about to hit the F

San is about to hit the Francisco ?
All hail comrade Cuommunist!
anyone else just join the NRA after reading that Headline?
I signed up for the easy pay life membership this past sunday
I would. Just got my first job. Don’t need to squirrel away the $35 now.
They are always giving a discount down to $25. Just google $25 NRA membership and you’ll find someone with a link to one.
Steve, on the easy pay life membership its a $25 initial charge then $25 quarterly (every 3 months)
There were an awful lot of Minis in those pics. Are there still some CA LEOs that issue them?
Yup.
Might as well too. They paid for them and they take a long damn time to wear out so might as well get your money’s worth from a great rifle.
With the number of bullet holes in a couple of those cars, I’m guessing some of those cops are wishing they had bigboy mags, instead of the shorties DiFi gave them.
MN wouldn’t be up crap creek but for the 2010 election, when Dayton (D) won by 9000 votes statewide (1.8M cast). It was good to at least see people lining up to fight for their 2A rights…
If public opinion is so much in favor of gun control then why do most articles/sites that are in favor of gun control have such a problem with allowing comments?
They can’t take criticism. How else can you wallow in self-righteousness?
I counted 53 bullet holes in the back of that blue truck. That’s over five 10 round magazines worth – just to take down an innocent civilian who was shooting back. WTF!?
How many are they gonna need when they actually meet a bad guy?
Somebody cache/store the website and pictures. I think the Californians fighting for their rights have a clear evidence of “common use”.
Like in Maryland gun owners sow up in drove to defend freedom good.
“This is going to get real ugly real fast”
Is it? Or are all the big talking “you’ll take my guns out of my cold dead hands” nuts going to roll over and do exactly nothing when some sanity is brought to gun legislation in this country?
What have all the blowhards in New York done lately? Haven’t seen much armed resistance there when the man took their mags and guns away, have you? Big talk is real cheap for mall ninjas everywhere it seems.
Sanity? Oh do tell.
Regardless, as no one has actually done any taking, your allegation has yet to be established as fact.
Are you by any chance Great Lenin’s Ghost under an assumed name?
Stop hurling insults and tell us what you really want. Please.
I know you think armed citizens are ticking time bombs Hmmmmmmm but they are actually calm, rational people who sincerely want to avoid using force if at all possible, which is as it should be. The armed citizens of New York will attempt to stop New York’s unconstitutional legislation in the courts first because that is the right, good, and decent thing to do. If that doesn’t work, then they will use force if necessary to defend their rights. And that is the entire reason for the existence of the Second Amendment.
And before you go all crazy about the possibility of New York citizens using force to defend their rights, please note that the State is NOT God. The State exists to secure everyone’s right to life, liberty, and property. When the State endeavors to confiscate good citizens’ rights to life, liberty, and/or property, the people have an obligation to oppose such illegal, immoral, and unjustifiable action.
That Syrian mother’s story is heart-wrenching… can’t imagine losing my kids. What parent wouldn’t feel the same way if their children were murdered?
Too bad for Bashar Assad her therapeutic release is a lock & loaded FN Fal.
If that isn’t biased reporting, I don’t know what is. “Like something out of the wild west”? Where do these people get their silly notions?
And the way the whole thing was presented just smacks of anti-gun bias: The poor little town of Oak Harbor “threatened” by the big, bad SAF. No, how about the SAF looking out for the constitutional rights of people who want to be able to defend themselves?
Give me an effin’ break.

According to the story, she is using the name of a famous Communist.
So? She’s an English teacher, there’s a buncha commies in that field. As a person she’s doing the right thing.
