Yet another Vegas tale of woe. But this one wasn’t the result of too much time spent at a craps table. Instead, it came from to much time spent in someone else’s home. “A news release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says its Dispatch Center received a call around 7:45 a.m. from the occupant of a home in the 2300 block of Westwind Road indicating intruders were attempting to forcibly gain entry into his house.” That was the word yesterday from mynews3.com. There were three intruders, actually, and while it’s not clear from the news report, when the the 72-year-old homeowner retrieved his gun, he hit at least one of them . . .
And that was enough to convince all three home invaders to retreat into the desert morning.
Arriving officers encountered one suspect attempting to flee the area in a vehicle. This suspects’ vehicle collided with an arriving officers’ patrol car, and the suspect, a Latin male, was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
A second suspect, also tentatively identified as a Latin male, was last seen fleeing on foot eastbound into the surrounding residential neighborhood and remains outstanding.
Officers searching the backyard of the victim’s residence found a third individual, tentatively identified as a Latin male, deceased from an apparent gunshot would. A handgun was also recovered from the backyard.
Good thing there were only three of them. If there’d been more he might have had to use as many as, say, eleven bullets. Maybe even twelve. And while that almost never happens, it’s nice to have the option. Maybe he should write his Senator to let him know that magazine capacity limits really aren’t a good idea.
“Stop or my grandpa will shoot!” another example of dgu that wont be heard around the natin.
But wait. Isn’t the homeowner supposed to take on the three armed home invaders in hand-to-hand combat? Wouldn’t anything less indicate that the homeowner is a sissy? (end_of_sarcasm)
The reporter said the homeowner fired one round. Dead guy in back yard. Hmmmm….There is a lesson here.
1. Arm all the 73 year olds.
2. Issue them 10 round magazine
3. Sic them on the bad guys.
4. Now do the math……. 224, 526 73 year olds. Times 10.
Works for me.
Good shooting sir. That must have been the warning shot. Nice of the 1st BG to get in the way.
If news reports over the last few years are any indication, a “warning shot” seems to be much more likely to turn a defender into a defendant.
He fired a warning shot……….about 2″ over the crook’s spleen.
LOL! Indeed sir!
Around here the criminals don’t get up that early.
They weren’t up that early, they were still up.
Chalk up one for the good guys.// I just heard a Texan fired a warning shot at someone leaving his driveway, lets just say he won’t be driving anymore. Randy
I wonder if these “latinos” are US citizens, with jobs who are paying taxes?
Home carry people. At all times. This was 7.45 am, not 1 in the morning. And TTAG has a whole string of reports where the old timers get the job done. You can’t be a pansie and live to old age.
In NY, seven rounds go REAL fast. Pop pop pop…..yer about have done with your magazine. Libtard insane.
NYPD needs 7 rounds just to warm up the barrel for the shots that actually MIGHT hit.
Sounds like everything ended the way it should!
