Speaking in a professional capacity as someone who held a job where physical fitness was a requirement for continued paid employment, much less promotion, I think that cop might not have had to resort to employing a taser to apprehend his suspect if he had put down the donuts, Cheez Ums, and all those "wit' whiz" a while back and hied himself to the gym. Nor is chasing someone while wearing a fifteen pound duty belt an excuse for resorting to that level of force.
