CJ, who works in private security, packs a full-size GLOCK 17 and an extra magazine as part of his everyday carry gear. Nice if you can do it. But most people can’t or simply don’t want to carry a gun (let alone a spare mag) of that size and weight around all the time. But if your job dictates that you be not only armed, but equipped for a variety of eventualities, you do what you have to do.
When it’s time to kick ass and take names, he’s about one Field Notes and a Space Pen short…
I like the minimal approach, though. This is more believable as a pocket dump EDC.
Apparently I am the only one who carries non-lethal items….
Or the only one who cares, on a gun website.
You talk about non lethal as if that shit has any defense against someone who just got out of your personal bubble decided to pull their gun…
For every situation you can come up with where a non lethal option is viable, we can think of one where a gun works better.
You clearly do not know when to use a firearm, and when not to, so stick to your non lethal approach because we don’t need another idiot the media can feed on.
Well that’s cool, a gun, xtra bullets, a skinning knife and a duck call. I suppose the billfold got his duck hunting license in it.
A skinning knife? Have you ever skinned anything?
The Glock 19 is often touted as the best carry gun, hands down. So, for a few ounces more, along with better sight radius & barrel length, the Glock 17 is a No Brainer especially for anyone in the security business or any other type of LE position.
A lot of detectives would carry this either OWB or in a shoulder holder beneath their sportcoat, no problem.
