From Everest . . .

Everest, the shooting sports and outdoor gear industry’s first customer-centric, community-driven, multi-merchant marketplace has officially launched. Everest is a nondiscriminatory platform for hunters, shooting sports enthusiasts, anglers, campers and hikers across the country, linking consumers and retailers with a robust marketplace where they can interact, participate, contribute, learn, transact, and give back.

As a significant amount of merchants make a mass exodus from other online marketplaces, Everest is disrupting the outdoor retail landscape by creating a robust community for outdoorsmen and women where they can live their passions. At time of launch, the Everest marketplace has already secured 500+ merchants offering more than 500,000 outdoor and shooting sports products.

It is estimated by the end of 2020, Everest will offer more than 1,000,000+ products from retailers and manufacturers from around the globe. The product inventory and merchant options will certainly continue to grow exponentially over the next 2-3 years as more retailers, distributors and manufacturers join the Everest community. Unlike any other marketplace of its kind in the space, the Everest experience will be consistently enhanced with fresh outdoor content such as how-to videos, product reviews, gear articles and much more.

“At our core, we believe in passing down the great outdoor legacies that were passed to us,” says Bill Voss, CEO/Founder of Everest. “Our mission is to create a one-of-a-kind marketplace where merchants can sell free of the noise of those other sites. We are committed to surpassing all customer expectations by providing unparalleled service, exceptional quality and ultimate value with every interaction.”

Everest has developed opportunities that create real value for their customers. Everest consumers can participate in the direction and growth of the marketplace, including giving back to those who do so much already in the space. Specifically, customers have the option of opening an Everest “Caliber Account” which features many benefits, including Free Express Shipping, extensive relevant video entertainment, cool swag, and deep discounts on selected items.

Importantly, Everest will give back to philanthropic programs and outdoor industry initiatives that reflect the issues important to the Everest community such as conservation, veterans service organizations, cancer support and firearms safety.

  1. $9 monthly membership fee? HELL NO!

And on the GUNS.COM thing, I much prefer GunBroker.com. See no reason to switch from a more powerful search tool and the ability to pick the FFL I want to use to receive a gun.

    • They’re not like Big Daddy — you can just order from Everest without a Caliber membership. $9/mo is for their Amazon Prime equivalent. Since they charge $10 for shipping, it’d be worth it if you ordered once a month. I don’t know the quality of their thousands of hours of video that it includes. The prices I saw weren’t particularly lower, and they seem to mainly be a passthrough marketplace, so I probably won’t be ordering from them that often.

  2. They have a 12 gauge shotgun shell that’s 5oz of silver, hhhmmm maybe. I do know someone that would like that.

  3. They have a LONG way to go. The website is slow(er than most). not very intuitive and clumsy search. If you set it for 25 items per page, change anything in your search parameters and it reverts back to 10 items per page (VERY annoying) . Can’t sort by price (probably because they don’t list most prices on firearms). Haven’t found a decent deal on anything yet and I have been looking at the site off and on for over a month.

  5. Well im just finding out about it.Already a member of Sportsmansguide and love it so i dont know if ill join another just yet? But anything is worth a looksee?

  6. I’ve been looking for a site like amazon that isn’t biased towards the constitution and products that relate to it. I’m very excited that the gap in the market will be filled. Can’t wait!!! Thank you for listening to what the people want and need!

  7. Stoked for this. I know a few of the guys and they’re solid. This will be a great addition to the market!

  8. Despite the site having some hiccups (like being slow) I for one am happy to pay $9 per month to encourage an online commerce site like this. The Second Amendment is under constant assault, be it retail, social media or average Joe citizen looking for various items from reputable retailers. Someone mentioned GunBroker – not a good comparison. Yes, there are some dealers on there – but it is far from comprehensive, nor is it dynamic. We should applaud the vision and support the effort. We need to be thinking about tomorrow – these guys are.
