Ah, another service man. Brendan’s an infantry soldier who likes his gear in black. Particularly the SIG SP2022 that’s carried in an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0. Check out the rest of what he carries at Everyday Carry.

        • Lol! Thanks for the laugh. Pretty much exactly what I was was thinking. I just love how not only is do these guys have to have some notebook in these pics, it has to say field notes as if they are operationally operating in the operators field and makin dem notes.

    • One is for scraping goose $h!t off your boots. The other one stays clean for when you need to do surgery.

    • I have three on my person nearly all the time. One is for social occasions, one is for grooming my fingernails, one is for doing everything from scraping horsecrap outta my boot lugs to scraping burrs off machined steel.

      • Here I am, usually making do with just a single Benchmade, Zero Tolerance, Cold Steel, or CRKT knife at a time. If my boots need cleanin,’ I use scrub brushes and a hose, dry em’ out, and maybe the occasional leather polish. I’m like the Ryan Seacrest of TTAG!

        • The soil around here is filled with expansive clay and sometimes bentonite. You’ll not get it out of your boots as easily as you might your soil types.

  1. Looks like something a real person might actually carry, unlike a lot of these. Mine is the same minus the fixed-blade and flashlight, and swap the SIG for a Px4 in .40.

Well, that’s mine when my employer isn’t disarming me during the workday.

  2. I’m sorry . . . but why do we care what all these guys have in their pockets? I carry what I feel i need, everyone else carries what they feel they need. And . . . . ?

  3. He made a good choice when he got the Sig SP2022. It’s not exceptional at anything, but pretty good at everything. Like the difference between a Ferrari and an Accord.
A Ferrari is an exceptional sports car, but not very useful for a trip to the grocery store, and don’t even try to take it on a bumpy gravel road. An Accord or a Taurus (every big manufacturer has a mid-line model) is not exceptional at anything, but pretty good at everything, and reasonably priced too. An SP2022 is like an Accord car.

  4. I love my SP2022 and carried it daily for years until I got a Shield. He chose well. Best “budget gun” ever made.
