Alaskan Matt carries a big boy G21 which packs 13+1 rounds of .45 ACP, just as God and John Moses Browning intended it. See all of his gear at Everyday Carry . . .

  1. I use to have a G21, and really liked it other than the fact that it is just a little big (esp. the grip). I like the size of my G22 a lot better.

Of course for Alaskan bear protection, the Glock 20 in 10mm is probably the way to go (for an autoloader). For the 2 legged predators, the G21 is about as good as it gets.

Since I like to pocket carry (and don’t worry about bears), I can content myself with my J-Frame, P3AT, and Shield.

  2. I gotta say, I finally bought a Mini Grip and besides having to carry it wrong way up (for me, you tip up folks are nuts) it’s a very nice little folder, if a little delicate for on the job. I’ll stick with the green Delicas for work, but this is my weekend knife for sure.
