I’m a Texas CPA and I carry. My wife stole the shield from me though.
I also carry a spyderco blade!

Since it’s listed as backpacking essentials, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he must spend a considerable amount of time in bear country.
I love that knife, I have the same one but usually carry a Matriarch 2 instead.
