Everytown for Gun Safety (a.k.a. Gun Control), er really, Everytown for No Guns For Little People has put into words what we all knew would come. Only they did it even faster than we thought possible. In a single meme, they gave American gun owners lots of reasons to vote for the Trump-Vance “Make America Great Again” ticket.

What’s more, Everytown does this something like 48 hours after a radical Act Blue donor shot President Trump in the ear, narrowly missing a head shot assassination. For a 20-year-old social misfit, the murderous lunatic came closer to taking out a president than anyone since the CIA shooters did with Kennedy 60 years ago.

As Glenn Reynolds wrote over at Instapundit, “I ALREADY SUPPORT HIM, YOU DON’T HAVE TO SELL ME.”  [Emphasis caps original.]

Moreover, as political violence escalates this summer prior to the November election – and it very likely will – more and more non-gun owners are going to look around and decide that they don’t have to remain on the gun control plantation.

Like their fellow non-gun owning friends prior to the Covid fiasco, they too can join the gun owning fraternity/sorority and enjoy the proven, potentially life-saving benefits of responsible firearm ownership. They’ll then have the means with which to protect themselves and their family from violent criminal attack when police aren’t nearby. No more cowering in fear as bad people with evil in their hearts approach.

Yes, becoming a gun owner is self-empowerment. You don’t have to live in fear as a defenseless victim.

And lastly, it’s not “gun violence,” but gang violence.  Even Biden’s own Attorney General Merrick Garland said so just a couple of months ago.

  6. They aren’t going to allow Trump to win again -or anyone who challenges their Total Control. They have taken complete control of the system. Any opposition is purely for show and will be shut down when necessary.

    • I just heard that in light of the failure of the USSS for protection of Trump while campaigning about the country, Biden is assigning the entire Uvalde Police Force to cover the task.

    Find me one person who was like “oh, maybe I’ll support the Trump/Vance ticket” until they saw this and suddenly balked. Just one.

    • They are constantly pushing their own supporters away, so they have to use ads like this to keep them scared and coming back.

    • FRred Maybe Boch doesn’t know Reagan was close to death. Anywho we had a massive storm in NE Illinois & NW Indiana. Our power out for 11 hours but back on now. Sure was glad we have 6 loaded gats at the ready! 3 mounted with lights. Oh & someone cloned my fakebook page during the outage🙄😧

      What do we get with a Trump clone? The risk of losing an important Senate seat? Is the risk worth the taking?

      • If JD is sworn in as VP on January 20th an important Senate seat will not be lost unless Gov. Mike DeWine (R) appoints a sokialist-democrat replacement. The real concern for the left is that Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) has great probability of losing reelection this fall.

        So who is not a “clone” that should have been picked?

        • I do appreciate Sam’s worst case to realistic bad outcome takes. There are a lot of things that can go wrong and he does quickly identify likely pitfalls that would utterly suck and demand mitigation. I wish him more joy in life but I understand why that is not as much of an option.

          Oh, boy….I did ask for it, didn’t I?

          DeWine is likely to appoint a replacement from the Repub establishment/elite. How could that be helpful. Best end result would be a win against Sherrod (maybe a stand-in for Vance) and a win for the R establishment. Not at all sure that is a useful outcome; status quo, sure.

          As noted, Trump should have picked someone who can help where Trump is unable to be effective by himself. Why does Trump need two of himself to win over Trump supporters? What can Vance do that Trump cannot?

          And the most ineffective a VP can be is one who will not be elected after Trump’s lame duck term. Trump doesn’t have the juice to make Vance the expected heir to the presidency.

          As to who would have been a better choice? Someone who can be strong, where Trump is weak; a balance that provides opportunity for Trump to be more successful (again, even that sort of VP will not survive the struggle for presidency after Trump is retired).

          • Sam I Am – Trump once again did something “Trumpian” -instead of adhering to conventional wisdom he picked a successor rather than a political expedient. And Vance, with his close relationship with labor unions (real unions, not the rent seeking Democrat fundraisers that public employee unions have metastasized into), does have the potential to swing votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. I’m not a Vance fan, I didn’t vote for him in the primary but I’ve been satisfied with him as my senator. DeWine, for all his inherent squishiness, is a party man and a team player, he’ll appoint someone solid – probably Moreno if he doesn’t unseat Sherrod “Ratchetjaw” Brown (a phony who makes my skin crawl) but there are other good choices available.

            Trump evidently wanted a VP who can run in four years as his replacement rather than some marriage of convenience – you know, like G HW Bush and Reagan…or Queen Kamala and Uncle Joe.

            Nothing in politics is ever certain but if the trends shown by the current polling data continue Trump isn’t going to need Virginia (and has a decent chance of winning it anyway). And if those trends do continue there’s a very real chance the Ds are in for a very bad night in November – fingers crossed!
