As of a couple of days ago most if not all of the pro-gun sense Everytown pages have been shut down. All of the administrators and content creators of the page have been hit with 3-day suspensions on their Facebook accounts. Unfortunately, despite many of our administrators proactively requesting deletion of their pages, they were in fact not deleted and they were hit with 3 day suspensions as well. We fully understood that the copyright applications had been sent in and were expecting the removal to happen at some point. We have no problem with this. As part of the bigger picture…

we wanted to call out Moms Demand Action/MAIG/Everytown on their hypocrisy. Maintaining an echo chamber, devoid of logical, much less civil discourse on the issues we face, only results in division and anger. They don’t make any reasonable attempt to address the issues we face as a nation. Regardless of your stance on the Second Amendment, the inability to properly debate and discuss potential legislation only proves to me that the civilian disarmament machine has no basis in reality. Rather than stand up for their beliefs and defend them, they ban and remove anything that doesn’t fall in line with their dogma.

For the various groups we work in, we strive to elicit real discussion on the issues we are facing. We delve into the laws, and what they really mean. Simply screaming “something must be done!” without any thought or deliberation accomplishes nothing and proves again that they in no way support the Second Amendment…or even the First for that matter. Their false claims of victory from Starbucks, Facebook, and Jack in the Box, prove my point without the need to point fingers. So I cordially invite Mrs. Watts to a debate of the issues. Until now she has refused, but we’re sincere and the door is always open on our end.

  3. At Jake. In your case the URL string to Facebook does not have “Everytown” in it. All of ours in fact did. The page name is something else entirely.

  4. Yes, the general illogical, emotional responses is a major clue that gun control makes no sense. I used to support some forms of gun control now I support none. The logic and facts of pro gun arguments is what swayed me. People like colion noir and the facts section of this website.

    • Yeah, apparently that’s only true when it doesn’t concern our rights. Not on the propaganda thought police arena that is facebook. Its run by absolute fascists.

      Yes. They are.

      Facebook is a private entity and entitled to control what happens on their servers. To oversimplify, Facebook is private property and they can set their own rules. If you don’t like how they work you are free to discontinue using their site.

      Don’t like it myself, but them’s the rules we agreed to play by.

      • how is it fair that a heavily left leaning business can control what takes place within the confines of his business when a right handed company is sued and found guilty in a court of law when they refuse to serve someone of differing morals and ideals. In other words how can gays sue cake bakers and win but it is completely acceptable for FB to censor and kick out those of their idealistic opponents.

        • Because political speech is protected and therefore cannot be forced the same way. If a cake said “Fundy’s Cakes Supports Gay Marriage” Fundy’s cake store would not have to make it… I hope.

          Plus the copyright stuff, but that’s more of an excuse than anything else.

    • You have a right to stand on a soapbox in the public square and blab your brains out. You do NOT have a right to have a soapbox provided for you at somebody else’s expense.
      I think if Facebook took down my page, I’d quit paying my Facebook bill. 😀

  9. A debate will never happen. She knows she has a logically indefensible position. Because she knows this, she will invariably avoid any real debate at all costs. Her position can only be “defended” from atop a soapbox, preferably with a bullhorn (the better to shout down her opposition with).

    Closed minded fanatics of any stripe will follow the same tactical manual of dirty tricks and guerrilla she uses, because it is the only tool they have.

  10. Mother Monsanto Demands Hysterical Overreaction, yes she does! Mr. Bill Paying Billionaire Demands Results, yes he does! Will they get results with reasoned debate? No, they will not. Will they get results by being truthful in all they say? No, they will not. Will they get results by proposing legislation that actually addresses the issues they raise? No, they will not.
    Will they get results by generating hysteria? Yes they will. Self-serving politicians will pass poorly written, draconian legislation in the middle of the night, if they generate hysteria. School administrators across the nation will discipline young children for no reason at all, if they generate hysteria. Government agencies will engage in all manner of criminal conduct, if they generate hysteria.
    Generating hysterical overreaction nationwide is their goal because it works.

  12. It doesn’t matter if the door on our end is open or not. It wouldn’t even matter if they were double-doors, hangar doors, or missile silo covers locked open. Literally the only thing that would be sent in from their end, if anything, would be bile and venom (with the usual healthy sprinkling of misogyny and “Uncle Tom” racism — I’m looking at you, Gawker) and wishes for the literal physical destruction of us and our loved ones.

    Hell, maybe they’ll feel particularly cruel one day and SWAT somebody just to prove a (blatantly false) point. It really wouldn’t surprise me if it did happen already, and failing that it certainly wouldn’t if it happened sooner rather than later.

    That’s why I have a very hard time finding sympathy for the figureheads of that purely anti-Humanist movement called “gun control” if horrible things happen to them, or if horrible things in the lives of these figureheads lead to their current state of mind: one that incessantly demands nothing less than forcing everyone else around them be as vulnerable and afraid as they are. I wouldn’t stoop down to their level and respond in-kind, but simply not lift a finger or a kind word for them in any capacity. I reserve that for actual people, not sub-human filth.

  14. I would think just posting the chart to reply to almost every post against guns would be an effective answer.

  15. All that’s needed is an up-to-date play by play counter to everything the MAIG / Bloomberg / Everytown campaign brings. Every fabricated statistic they reference should be debunked with easy-to-follow links to FBI statistics and current information. If you don’t give them a leg to stand on, they will just continue to have foot-in-mouth disease and people will stop listening.

    Most already have. They keep arguing “common sense”, but common sense real world statistics are already winning out with more and more states allowing Concealed Carry.

    I like the first responder’s idea about having a very upfront look at real gun safety and how effective it is. Everything the Bloomberg crew is trying to do is already being done in ways that don’t infringe on anyone’s ability to tool up. So what’s left to say?

  17. Hey, the one small credit I will give this crackpot organization is that they are not deleting comments that go against their opinions, at least not yet. Most of the pro-gun people who have been posting are very civil and courteous, the same cannot be said for the antis.

  19. I was suspended from their useless site several times and I finally deleted it for good. FB is run by a bunch of no good COMMIE lowlifes. Most worthless piece of @%$# 6$&#* *@#%$ on the internet. I hope they go broke along with their crappy stock. This flame will most likely get deleted, but I really don’t care and it feels good to flame these @%#$&&^

    You have no idea how profound that statement is because it doesn’t just apply to comments on their media, it applies to us as well. Make no mistake, people like gun grabbers — who have absolutely no respect for your liberty or personal property — will not hesitate to remove us (via state sanctioned imprisonment or worse) if we dare oppose their vision of utopia.

  24. Thanks to those who were able to set up parody sites and swallowed their time out as a result. The tantrum that resulted show these people as they are and put their credibility in perspective. Let’s not let them live it down. They need to have their bullying held up to their face every chance it can be done.
