Festus” – I’m betting it’s not his real name – sends his “Summer 2019” carry ensemble for today’s consideration.

Mr. Systems Architect (is that a computer thing or an architect thing?) never leaves home without his Ruger LCR .357 snubbie loaded with .38+P loads.  Smart man.   And he carries a Speed Strip with some extra freedom pills.  A wise man.

Festus packs his five-shooter in a DeSantis leather rig which looks like it’s probably an outside-the-waistband unit.  Less concealability, but that’s his deal not mine.

Really, the only thing missing is an illumination tool.

At the same time, carrying around a giant titanium water bottle would get old pretty quickly in my world.

Nice cars, by the way.  And nice Zelos watch.

  1. A hilarious name since he’s packing a 5 shooter. Well played sir.

Nice water bottle. Ti is light and durable. Most people are dehydrated most of the time, so he’s battling that. Again, well played.

Cool watch. I wonder about the lighter though since he has no obvious need for it. Perhaps he’s a cigar guy though.

I’ll guess computer or telecom, but the division there gets blurrier and blurrier as networks now handle VoIP, and POTS is kicked to the curb…

  3. I certainly like the LCR…..haven’t tried the new Pachmayr grips..they look interesting.

Ot a fan of lazers …. I keep waiting for Lazermax to make a weapon light for the LCR.

    Or Viridian…..or Streamlight…..somebody?

Nice kit…nut I only drink water from the finest plastic …. or out of the tap.

  4. I have that holster for a P365. It’s not as concealable as IWB but it’s not bad. Goes away pretty well under most button shirts, if not a fitted t-shirt.

  5. This looks like the LaserMax laser. I prefer the Crimson Trace version; no worries about special holsters or activating the laser under stress. I’ll bet the laser limits his choice of holsters.

  6. Def missing a flash light. A flash light has more usefulness than a reload for the average joe, by my measure.

I carry my flash light more than anything. I cannot always have a gun or knife on me, but I can always carry a flash light (i.e., striking implement.)

    Otherwise, solid carry.

  7. Judging by the lack of any wear and tear, and the ‘right out of the box’ look most of the firearms have on these EDC links, it seems likely most of these are never really carried.

    • Without a doubt.

If you go hang out on the EDC website for any length of time, you’ll notice most of the gear doesn’t look like it’s been carried, let alone used… it’s basically just gear porn; fun to look at, but unrealistic and staged.
