Well, you can’t buy firearms on Ebay. Supplies, pieces parts, etc? Yes. So the article, and probably the survey, is suspect since “firearms” can’t be purchased, or even listed there.
Firearms and other weapons are not allowed on craig’s list either. Yet it does happen.
You can’t even use the word “bang” in a listing anymore. Now to sell a glock, it is a “plastic Austrian handheld projectile device”. Or just use armslist.
IE – Begins with “G” and ends with “lock”?
I doubt that Ebay would report or confirm to anyone, especially a news outlet, that “firearms” are one of their biggest sellers anywhere since their policy doesn’t allow them.

Well I can understand this, I have spent many years in the mountains of SC, and there are roads that the GPS identifies as a road, but if you were to go down there you will hear banjo music. bet to stay on the black top, if its dirt you took a wrong turn.

Perhaps it is because we were already well armed before the nationwide buying spree. As for why ammunition isn’t up there, I don’t know.
I would guess the firearms related purchases in New York are parts to convert banned assault rifes to stay in compliance with the NY Safe Act. The time frame fits

So we all know ebay bans guns (we’d all be buying them otherwise, duh). But you may not know that they also ban food items, not counting the occasional face of Jesus Christ on toast, since you’re not supposed to actually eat that. So again, Nebraska, what in the heck is your deal?
Wonder what would happen if you extended that list to Guns Amreica and Armslist. I was stationed in New Jersey and went to New York quite often, it seemed like everyone in New York had a gun. People don’t even seem to notice when guns go off. But then they don’t seem to notice much of anyting. The first time I was there I got off at Port Athority, stepped out on 42nd street saw a drunk puking against a wall, a hooker standing on a corner conducting business, and a dude was trying to sell me a watch. I was looking around for the cameras and the rest of the film crew thinking I had stepped into a movie scene by accident. On the other hand people in New Jersey are gun phobics. Of course I was there when the Viet Nam Vet flipped out and shot up half the police force in Cherry Hill. Jersey cops are a bunch of morons. People there are kind of strange too. But they do have good food.

How long before the idiot left-wing politicians in New York are up in arms (no pun intended) and wasting millions to investigate Ebay. I can see the headlines “Governor Cuomo, Senator Charles Schumer, Congresswoman Carolyn McCarthy and former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg along with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Mayors Against Illegal Guns have all called for a crack down on the illegal weapons trade on Ebay.
