    • I’ll have you know that it is called an M Buster. Thank you very much 😉

But yeah it definitely makes you feel like Megaman.

  1. James, you looked very angry at 1:33 when you lowered the gun.

This seems to me like the old adage about a boat. The only thing better than having one, is having a friend that has one. I think it’d be neat to play around with, but not something I’d use on a regular basis. Of course, I guess that goes for the AK pistol it’s attached to, as well.

    • Yup, looked like a rage face to me as well. The around the arm is kind of the “Intended through design” way to use it, but personally, its a great impromptu stock for your AR pistol to make it pretty much have a non telescoping stock 🙂

cough boating accidents and such cough 😀

    • I didn’t notice until now lol. I was just really concentrating on making hits and shooting as fast as I could without flinching since the thing was really really loud.

      • That’s all I saw – intense concentration, maybe just a bit of concern that the group wasn’t a little tighter.

But first time through, I was mostly ogling the hardware. 🙂

  2. Not a big fan of this but it does indeed serve a purpose.
Still not something Id look forward to firing for an extended period of time.
By that I mean an AK pistol with or without the brace.
I prefer the full sized rifle myself.

  3. Oh, please. At least Recoil had the balls to show these as 90% of their users are going to employ them, as a way around the NFA laws.

    • yeah, I don’t mean to sound pessimistic but I don’t give this thing long until the ATF smacks it down.

      • I would imagine the ATF has bigger fish to fry than a product designed to assist with one handed firing. I.E. the slidefire stock (4 years and going) the bumpski stock, the newly approved tac-con drop in bumpfire mechanism, the Gill Arm Lock..etc….etc….etc… It never ceases to amaze me that people actually believe that the ATF will go back on a written ruling like the ones I’ve listed above…and dont bring up the Aikins bump stock or the shoe string machine gun analogy because they are absolutely different.

    • I have never shot one but I imagine that the buffer tube on an AR pistol could be used similarly. Obviously not the most comfortable position with the short lop but most have a foam cover atleast.

It is just .223 after all, not some 308 HK in pistol format.

      • Rifle tube on an AR pistol is an approved configuration by the ATF, if you are looking for something a little more comfortable. Just pop a foam cover or the SB brace on there.

      • That was my first though when I saw it, it would be great for AR pistols to cover and make use of the buffer tube. Never was a fan of AR pistols with the buffer tube sticking out the back. It defeats the purpose of having a pistol and looks like a suppressor attached to the wrong end.

  4. Is the tube within the brace basically an AR buffer tube? Looks like it.

Everybody knows what buyers are really going to do with this thing.

That being said, I find it sort of odd they’re complaining about muzzle rise on the M92 that has no muzzle device installed on it.

FWIW, putting a sling on your AK pistol goes a long way. While putting forward pressure on the sling, I can pretty much shoot my M92 like a rifle. I would rather do that than use this thing the way they’re using it

  5. Great little addition for your AR pistol truck gun 🙂 or oddly if you happen to be a lucky duck, AK pistol.

Talk about AK simplicity, the installation could literally be done by anyone who can operate a screwdriver ha

  6. I love how all these reviewers are so coy about using it as a stock. “your face right next to the dust cover=not a good idea” and yet when you have a real stock it is???

      • nose to the charging handle, figuratively speaking. Look, if you hold this up to your shoulder, lateral chest in a squared off stance, it’ll function just as well as a combloc length stock. I’m 6’4 and successfully shoulder the Rossi Ranch Hand and that has a lot less LOP going for it.

      • Most of the commie rifles have short LOP stocks anyways. I assume this is because they have wear 5 layers of furs to keep from freezing. I bought one of these for my M85 while I wait (forever) on SBR approval from the ATF. Can’t wait to install it.

  7. I see this as something to do while you wait for your sbr stamp to come back.

I dont find pistol versions much fun. I picked up a sig p522. Sucked. Picked up a proper sling, better but still no fun. Then i Sbr’d it…now that’s what I’m talking about.

  8. They may call them “pistols” but anything that big shooting a rifle round is a rifle. Calling it a pistol just gets around the need for NFA approval. Now for the brace. These type of devices have been around for years, yes for those with one hand/arm”. It looks great and all, but, not new. Just me 2 cents worth.

    • So, my 10in contender pistol chambered in .45-70 is a rifle? 10in rifle? Not an SBR?

I love my AK-pistol. You sissy whiners need to keep your opinions to yourselves. 5.56 ammo should all be pink tip… So you can’t handle real guns, fine. That’s your problem. Trying to re-define everything to feel macho isn’t working well for your macho… I like .22lr, too, but I have a ruger charger, not a 10/22… Big whoop. You don’t get a cookie.

Shut up. Pistols are not defined by the cartridge.

  9. My state (Washington) specifically prohibits SBRs, and I’m not sure how some over-eager prosecutrix would interpret this brace. An opinion letter from the ATFE would probably get the case dismissed well ahead of trial, but it might not keep them from filing charges in the first place.

Those of you in SBR-friendly states are lucky.

  10. AK Pistols are a diffferent kind of shooting. Learn the skill instead of complain and make really dumb crutches… It’s an adaptation of your firle shooting skill, but without the shoulder… It’s still more accurate than a “normal” handgun because of the unequal arm lengths dampening recoil better, 2 hold points, plus longer site radius. The big ‘ol heavy bolt carrier soaks it up pretty well, too. I’m so sick of people knocking the AK Pistol simply becaue they don’t know how to use it properly…

Oh, and yes, this brace thing is dumb. Completely un-needed if you learn how to shoot it properly.
