When The Guardian recently posted a story telling how dangerous a second Trump presidency could be for gun-ban advocates and the gun control movement in general, the authors actually made a great case for exactly why gun owners should vote for the former president.

The story, headlined “If Trump wins the election, this is what is at stake,” touts how much President Biden did for anti-gunners (actually, he didn’t accomplish much). And details how Trump could “derail” much of Biden’s efforts.

“Now, advocates fear that those broadly popular policies could be easily reversed if Trump and congressional Republicans win in November, eroding incremental progress made on addressing the two most common types of gun deaths—suicide and homicide,” the story stated.

With that proclamation, the report then began to explain what some of Trump’s changes might be if elected. And those possible actions read like a wish list for America’s gun owners, who have been under siege nearly every day for the past four years.

“If Trump wins election again, advocates expect him to immediately shutter the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which Harris oversees, and nominate a gun industry-friendly leader as director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives,” the report stated. “He could also disrupt implementation of the BSCA and wind back some of the Biden administration’s efforts to broaden background checks.”

Oh, the horror! What might sound like a nightmare to gun-ban advocates sounds like exactly what most pro-gun advocates have been working to accomplish. That doesn’t stop those from the pro-regulation side from wringing their hands in worry over Trump’s chances.

“Having a Trump administration means that we can look forward to having to fight like hell to not lose the incredible progress that we’ve made on just common basic gun safety measures across this country that are, frankly, saving lives every single day,” said Angela Ferrell-Zabala, executive director of Moms Demand Action.

Other anti-gun advocates put it in even stronger terms, couching the upcoming election as nothing less than a battle of good versus evil. Emma Brown, executive director of the gun safety group Giffords, believes that since Vice President Kamala Harris is a self-proclaimed Glock owner, she’s the answer to all of our problems—not a hypocrite who favored handgun bans only a few years ago.

“Ultimately, we have Kamala Harris on one side, who’s being very clear that we do not have to live in a country where we are under constant threat of gun violence,” Brown said. “And on the other hand, you have Donald Trump promising to be the most loyal friend to the NRA. So, I actually think it is a contrast that is extremely clear.”

In fact, the contrast is extremely clear. Only one of the candidates is the answer to our violent crime woes—and it isn’t Harris.

  1. “Ultimately, we have Kamala Harris on one side, who’s being very clear that we do not have to live in a country where we are under constant threat of gun violence,”

You moron, you already live in a country where you ARE NOT “under constant threat of gun violence”.

For example, other non-firearms weapons used in ‘criminal violence’ outnumber firearms use 1,000:0.5.

The top weapons used in criminal violence in America (in no particular order even though numbered):

    1. Knives
    2. Other sharpened/edged weapons (i.e. ‘spear’ type, honed edged material for example a piece of hard plastic)
    3. Blunt objects (i.e. crowbars, bats, clubs, other handy object)
    4. Fire
    5. Chemicals (i.g. pepper spray, ammonia, poisons such as bleach and drain cleaner, acids).
    6. Hand/feet
    7. Blunt force trauma (i.e. thrown/dropped large/heavy objects, impact by car or motor-cycle or even bicycle)
    8. Over-whelming physical force (i.e. group/gang attack, much larger/stronger then victim like frequently used in rapes)
    9. Garden/lawn tools
    10. Drugs
    11. Ligature

and also … a number “12” would be the various violent gangs and criminals Kamala Harris ‘invited’ into the country by having an intentionally open and insecure border.

  2. Guns are becoming less of an issue just like climate change is now less of an issue. People are exhausted by the cry wolf Democrats as we’re dealing with historic levels of inflation and illegal immigration. This election comes down to which you hate more: inflation and illegal immigration or the Orange Hitler caricature that people are beginning to see through. This ain’t 2020.

    • I already voted, along with my kids. We more than cancelled out my Democrat parents. One of my Democrat sisters said she wasn’t voting this time.

      • Southern,

While I enjoy watching/hearing JD Vance spank MSM “journalists” (which he does VERY well!!), I don’t think I could listen to much more of Tampon Timmy “Stolen Valor” Walz without tossing my cookies. That blithering idiot may be one of the FEW politicians (along with America’s Dumbest Bartender, Shifty Schiff, Nancy “Insider Trading” Pelosi, and Eric “Duke Nuke’em” Swallowswell) dumber than Kamal-toe the Ho. He’s so dumb, he even makes Senile Joe look smart (and Joe was stupid before he became senile).

  3. My present family includes my wife & 2 son’s. And me. My wife & son’s are all registered Republicans. I won’t declare a party in ILL annoy. Dunno exactly about my other son & his family. His wife is a weirdo. Another son is a felon. Besides it doesn’t matter in ILLannoy😧

  4. Well, they got one thing right:
” The upcoming election is nothing less than Good verses Evil. ”
They just have the teams in the wrong uniforms.

  5. This election I am seeing 2 sayings being very true of the dims, I mean dems.

-Accuse your enemy of what you are doing as you are doing it to sow confusion.

The dems are accusing Trump of everything they are doing (censoring, imprisoning political opponents, in-personing, threat to democracy, etc.)

-A lie will circle the globe before the truth can get it’s shoes on.

All they need is one single sound bite or picture (doesn’t matter if it is doctored or a complete fabrication, all the better if it is) and the narrative is set. The truth* coming out the next day, week, or month later is irrelevant. The lie has done its job. (The fake beyonce concert, FBI crime data, Haitians eating pets, working at McDonalds, safe and effective, most secure election, “insurrection”)

*I also don’t ascribe to “lived truth” or other such nonsense. Truth is truth. My job is as a pilot. I live and die (emphasis on die in the very physical sense) by objective truths (altitude, airspeed, pitch, course, etc). My lived truth of having fuel in the tanks will not stop my engines from flaming out due to fuel starvation.
The objective truth, as shown by her actions, is that harris lies all the time. She is an empty vessel her handlers fill with whatever they want (much like any prostitute). She is evil and will be the harbinger of this nation’s destruction.

    • mountocean,
Yeah, DJT is t’s kinda a crap “champion” of the 2A. Now tell me who you can vote for that’s better. Yeah, that’s kinda what I thought.

      • I honestly thing the GOP and the nation would be better off taking the L, showing Trump the door and rebuilding over the next four years (and midterms in two).

You describe how well he champions the second amendment. The same description fits for championing smaller government, family values, military/veterans, world diplomacy, tax policy, the Constitution, basically he’s a crap champion for America. This is the first time I’ve ever voted for the democratic presidential candidate and I hope it can be the last.

  6. It isn’t just gun control. I can’t think of a single large issue that she is on the correct side of. Pondering…hmmm…not even a small issue.

  7. Nothing to fear my fellow pieces of shit. Trumps not going to win the fix is in.
    Democrats4Ever.
    Long Live the Queen!

    • Along that line, big news out of VA and MI.

      h ttps://pjmedia.com/catherinesalgado/2024/10/30/scotus-rules-virginia-can-purge-voter-rolls-n4933781

      h ttps://pjmedia.com/vodkapundit/2024/10/30/what-the-hell-is-going-on-in-michigan-n4933794

That one about _ichigan is interesting. Some 115K people in Detroit have cast some 279K ballots so far.

      • Reports of Pennsylvanians having difficulty voting.

On the other hand, Western NC (areas hit by hurricane severe weather) has a higher early turnout compared to 2020. After that news hit, Kamala pulled $2m worth of planned ads for the state. I bet she’s shifting it to Michigan.
