If a 155mm SPG is not a “tank” then my Chevy Suburban is not a “motor vehicle”. Also, the author throws out a lot of db levels for things like diesel locomotives and jet engines but without distance measurements like “at one meter or 10 meters or 100 meters”. The db level would be much higher at closer distance. And there is that whole “wish it was a thing”. Obviously it was or is a thing.
The new 125mm Blackout round is the way to go….
…btw it’s a Supressor, Not a “silencer”
Yes…sortof.
“Suppressor” is correct for the physical item as designed. “Silencer” is the term Percy Maxim used in his application for the patent. So it’s a suppressor that’s marketed to be called a silencer.
FIFY, though I always refer to it in conversation as a suppressor.
Looks more like an M109-155 mobile howitzer than a tank…
Exactly!!! That’s a self-propelled gun. NOT a tank boys and gurls. NO tank in the world has a big DOOR in the back………..🤣
Merkava has a door in the back. Judgement call as to whether its big or not.
“Judgement call as to whether its big or not.”
That’s what she said…
*sobbing* 😉
That’s armored artillery.
…not a tank.
Since it doesn’t attach to the barrel there’s no stamp required.
About bloody time. People like miner have been threatening to kill them at campuses all around the US.
I picture all the industry leaders at the NSSF sitting around in leather chairs, smoking cigars, having a good laugh about spending zero dollars on marketing while democrats sell their products for them.
The NSSF supports RINOs like John Cornyn and Mitch McConnell who pass anti-gun laws like they did just like last summer and then give them A grades on their 2A “report cards” for passing the Redflag and Safe-storage laws the NSSF loves.
The industry actually likes and encourages these anti-gun laws because they sell more guns. That’s why they support Cornyn and McConnell and others like Eyepatch McCain (Dan Crenshaw) who slip in “common sense” gun laws and claim they are real gun folks who want common sense restrictions.
The NSSF and their fellow industry minions are NOT our friends. Remember that the next time you are at the SHOT show and pass the ATF booth since they are involved with the NSSF intimately.
Forget the frickin’ suppressor, I want the dayum M1A1 (and about 1000 round of assorted rounds for the main gun).
From memory, the suppressor is at an artillery range in Germany. With urban encroachment, neighbours complained about the noise so the Germans responded in their typical way.
Still an impressive technical feat.
That reminds me of the ‘uppity neighbors’ who moved into the San Clemente area near Camp Pendleton and then complained about all of the howitzers, helicopters, and other associated shooting or explosions taking place on the various ranges.
“Waah…no one told me that my million dollar house near a base would be so loud!!!”
The most popular and widely respected voice in America for your gun rights, breaking 2nd Amendment news, and everything else you need to …After a while little Johnny raised his hand and ask the teacher if he could ask her to identify one. She hesitated, but relented and gave Johnny … Only gun I’ve ever had that did that was a F2000. I like the NATO … It’s day 6 of my Ironman GAMMA playthrough. I’m proud to retire my SKS …
At the small arms range near Kaiserslautern, there were large culverts at each firing point. Firers and coaches had to ensure the muzzle of the weapon was extended into the opening. Served as a large sound baffle for the nearby village.

Looks like a giants genitalia.
At first I wondered why then I completed the thought with is that not in my yard.
Paint it pink and put it in the front yard. Wait to see what the HOA has to say.
If I was closer to Albany a rainbow flag and BLM sticker would cover it.
Like an HOA would allow the normal tank…
Never live in a place with an HOA.
Living in town is bad enough, but HOAs take nonsense to a new level.
What’s the ATF say about it, how much for the tax stamp??
Is one needed for a permanent emplacement?
Nothing says, “you’re f*****” to the enemy than that! 😂😂😂😂😂
Suppressors that are not designed to attach to a gun are not regulated.

Still not hearing-safe. Needz ear-pro.
Talk about learning.
