A good question for the unilateral disarmament lobby is, “How many violent crimes will it take before you accept that violent criminals will not respect the right of others, to live in peace and safety, unless they are forced to do so against their will?” That’s the nub of the anti-gun argument: Rape, robbery and murder are not as bad as harming a criminal by fighting back.
I actually used that quote back in 2012 with a “customer” who came into the gun shop where I work. After Sandy Hook our local newspaper The Missoulian did a story about a guy who cut up his 870 express in protest to the murders. Complete with pics and all. Afterward he actually came into our store and was a complete dick. Around the same time there were a few high profile Rape cases at our local University by football players that made national news and the stories were even published in a book. I actually asked him if he was going to cut his dick off in protest to the sexual assaults. Needless to say he left and never came back.

And the chyron underneath each news story about gang violence always spells gang violence as “gun violence.” I tell the talking heads on TV news, “it’s pronounced GANG violence,” but unfortunately they can’t hear me.
We get called racist or some other ist if we point out gang violence. The news calls it “groups of associated people engaging in violence” when they do not go with the gun violence epidemic. Ironically some criminals are starting to complain about bail reform as the people that want to kill them most are no longer staying in prison for various minor offenses.
