This was a common sentiment expressed in the comments on this Gun Meme of the Day. I get it. If you’re actually at the point of having to hide firearms from the government, then you’re being repressed.

    • I firmly believe this is the hill a lot of us will die on. Just like most things, it will take some kind of catalyst to cause things to start rolling. The time for the right to keep turning the other cheek and smiling while we are being criminalized or invalidated is coming to an end.

      • “Let the pistol brace ban happen”, “I firmly believe this is the hill a lot of us will die on.”

oh poppycock, been hearing “this is the hlll I’ll die on” for decades, and you’re all still here. given the nearly universal “me, just me, only me” brand of rugged loner “patriotism” rampant in most communication media you’re all waiting for someone else to go first or you’re withdrawn into some little hidey hole spot thinking none of this will touch you.

        • Yeah! I love being a Leftist troll, it helps me feel good when I dress up like Hillary and post on TTAG!

      • Their enforcers will eventually overreact which will force the confrontation.

Especially if “respuct mah authoriteh” Chipman is involved and in a shock-and-awe action decides to not take prisoners.

    • Pistol braces have only been around for 8 years, and they’re not universally adopted. Bump stocks were a similar, relatively new and rarer product. The line in the sand would need to be something like semiautos or handguns to get a lot of peoe riled.

    • “I choose when to use ’em…”

      *Exactly*.

If the time comes, hide them, and let them do the guessing as to when they get used on the Fascist Scum.

I have no problems and full respect for those standing on the hill, but I’ll meet them on ground of my choosing, and a time of my choosing, not theirs… 😉

      • One of the rules of asymmetric warfare. Don’t fight the enemy at their strength. Fight their people at their weakest.

        • I’ve often wondered what is the difference between an expensive suit and a cheap suit in the foldabilities. If it was fold like a cheap suitcase I could see wtf. I’ve no clue to suits or cheap. I would think a suit made of silk would be pretty expensive and a suit made out of gunny sack would be pretty cheap. Of those two it seems the silk would be the easiest of the two to be folded.

        • Suit pants, when freshly pressed, need to fold properly over a hanger (I prefer wood) in order to fit in a garment bag.

        • “You are such a coward…”

Says the coward that hides behind fake identities.

Do you know the definition of the word “hypocrite”? 😉

        • Perhaps it’s that you would not fold an expensive suit at all if you’re taking good care of it.

    • There is a lot of “bravado” expressed when it comes to the point of the government confiscating guns from legitimate law abiding citizens simply exercising their Second Amendment rights. Here are the facts in the practical, history lessons learned tells us at least 80% of you, or more, because they will not always come at you directly, you will;

      1. Capitulate and surrender your firearms because you have “something” or “someone” in your life. aside from guns, that you cherish more. That could be family, a home, even a beloved pet like a dog. Ya’ll seem to think its going to be directed at you alone all the time – it isn’t. When it comes its going to come from all angles, not just at you and its already started. For example – officially declaring firearms a health and safety hazard has already put down the the ground work meaning a family member can be taken out of a home or out of school or simply intercepted in public and placed in protective custody or held on criminal charges because you are in possession of guns or because they are aiding you simply because they have not turned you in, thus you are a threat to health and safety and they will come in force.

      2. When it comes to the physical confrontation, most of you will be “overrun” by overwhelming force. They will come in numbers, armed, and invade your home, or grab you in public, or grab your family or friends, with or without warrant, probably without warrant because an officially declared “community health and safety” issue is exigent. Or they will keep you contained where you are until you surrender, then use everything they have to force you to surrender and that may be that they have a family member in custody. And then the defining point will come – you will surrender or you will die or they will take you by force because they will declare your on going resistance to need to end like they do in all “barricade” situations.

You want to beat them before they get close enough to reach out and touch you. In the military, just as true now as it was a few hundred years ago with our own revolutionary war and before that even for the roman legions, all through the history of warfare – if the enemy can get close enough to touch you at will you have lost. The time to defeat them is now before they get any closer, not tomorrow. You need to follow the concept our forefathers and founders followed and enshrined in our Constitution and that is; You need to fight them with law, not force – that failing – you need to fight them with will power and resolve by the overwhelming voice of the people, not force – that failing -when all that is exhausted and they are still able to come and they do come then you need to stand and fight with force because the threat is imminent.

Each one of you reading this article, these comments, the information on this site – you may be here because you are anti gun and want to keep tabs on what the pro gun side thinks or does – you may be here because you are pro gun and want to voice an opinion – you may be here simply out of curiosity.

But for what ever reason you are here reading, what ever your opinion is on guns or the second amendment, what ever your “pro” this or that stance is there is one thing all of you need to consider. If the government is allowed to get “close enough” by turning the second amendment into a “privilege” or “restriction” controlled by government, or even abolish it, it sets a very dangerous precedent that lays the ground work for infringing any other right. Never in our Constitutions history has it been under such attack as the attack now launched against the second amendment, blatant and infringing yes it is but even more important is if the government is successful its not guns but rather it threatens all of the inalienable rights of every American citizen, pro-gun or anti-gun or even somewhere in between or don’t care, and one day the government will decide to do the same to other rights when it suits them. You already see the moves today to infringe other rights such as certain speech simply because the government doesn’t like it, or infringe 4th amendment rights like the recent case of Caniglia recently decided by the SCOTUS. An attack on any constitutionally enumerated right is an attack on all constitutionally enumerated rights and the founding fathers saw that coming even back then, they made sure that all Americans knew they could resist by force by enshrining the will and concept to resist in the Second Amendment.

In every country that has ever come under tyrannic or monarch rule the first thing they did was disarm and weaken the populace. The roman legions did it, Mussolini did it, Hitler did it, Castro did it in Cuba, the U.K. even did it – its a recurring theme in history and it still happens today in many areas of the world.

For what ever reason you are here reading, what ever your stance is on the second amendment and guns – I urge each of you to fight this government attack on the second amendment. If you let them get close enough to reach out and touch you at will then you will be defeated.

      • “Be nice. Be nice. Be nice. Until the time comes to not be nice…”

  1. It is time to decide. Do we allow fascism to succeed and take away liberty or do we fight back and stop the fascist left?

    • “we fight back”

most of you are loners. you don’t know how to fight back, and you ridicule the teamwork you’d have to adopt to succeed.

      • Warms my heart to know a guy that worships the gestapo thinks poorly of me.

What was it you said about them? They loved their country.

      • “…and you ridicule the teamwork you’d have to adopt to succeed.”

        Horseshit.

Ask them their worst nightmare, and they will tell you it’s a loner, who talked to no one beforehand.

There is no defense for that. No internet ‘chatter’ to decode and follow-up on, *nothing*…

        • “Ask them their worst nightmare, and they will tell you it’s a loner, who talked to no one beforehand.”

completely miscomprehends the situation. law enforcement can’t intercept the self-radicalized individual, but the self-radicalized individual can’t do significant damage to the real issue, which is political control.

you guys are so self-centered and isolated that you can barely see beyond your own horizon. acting alone changes your world, so you think it changes the entire world. it doesn’t. without organization and teamwork and leadership (remember that “well-regulated” part in the 2A?) you’re just a dog in the street as far as they’re concerned – you might bite a few people, but not the ones that matter, and then you’ll be dispatched.

        • “… the self-radicalized individual can’t do significant damage to the real issue, which is political control.”

“Power comes from the barrel of a gun.”

          (Some infamous guy…)

        • Geoff – remind the trolls how long it took to find Ted Kacyinsky(sp) or the Green River Killer or Ted Bundy or that BTK dude among a whole host of others over the years. Shoot (pun intended) they had to get Al Capone on tax evasion charges.
There are over 100 MILLION Law Abiding Citizen gun owners – are ‘they’ going to ‘get’ all of us?

      • @ant7 “…most of you are loners. you don’t know how to fight back, and you ridicule the teamwork you’d have to adopt to succeed….”

        And you know this how?

      • Team work is why high school football is so hot. It’s not to hard to make a soldier out of someone used to being, screamed at, taking and remembering orders under exciting conditions ,and risk possible broken bones for The Team.
        Little known fact,, Miner49er.
The Badminton Teams are really U.N.C.L.E.. It’s a Fact, that’s about all I can say about it though. (These eyes have walls. They’re always listening)

        • Opossum, thanks for the memories! I will always treasure my time working with the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.

Han Solo was a real showboater, but I did enjoy working with Ilya Kuryakin.

  2. “If you’re actually at the point of having to hide firearms from the government, then you’re being repressed”

“now we see the violence inherent in the system. help help I’m being repressed!”

    • You got point. If we have to sacrifice the brave then we at least try to offset the loss by eradicating the seditious, stupid and ignorant.

      • “we at least try to offset the loss by eradicating the seditious, stupid and ignorant”

Well, we’ve rounded up over 500 of the stupid and ignorant seditionists so we’re making progress!

What I find interesting is how it’s now being revealed that there were many individuals armed with firearms at the United States Capitol on January 6.

        Book ‘em, Dano!

        • There’s always armed people at the Capitol. Nothing wrong with that. Even the racist turd that shot Ashli simply because she was white was armed. Your favorite treasonous skank Diane Feinstein is armed. So what’s your point?

And just like YOU … THEY’RE ALL EXPENDABLE.

      • “If we have to sacrifice the brave then we at least try to offset the loss by eradicating the seditious, stupid and ignorant”

well that means nothing will get done, because all of you are valuable sheepdogs and not mindless sheep, so you’ll all be standing around waiting for someone else to make the first move for you.

you’re like the left – you expect someone else to pay the cost.

        • Speak for yourself … ONLY for yourself.

I’m not paying any more than I already have for anything.

I’m all for extracting full payment, by any and all means available and/or necessary, the full expendability of those that seek to damage or otherwise deny to any extent, any of my Constitutional rights.

  3. Use your imagination. There are many ways to resist. Without using guns. We are not at that point yet.

    • You want to beat them before they get close enough to reach out and touch you. • I’m guessing you are the self-appointed arbiter of the line between not-there and there.

      How’d I do?

  4. I’m an old man. I would prefer to die peacefully in my sleep. But if that is not to be, then let me die in a pile of spent brass with a bloody blade in my hand.

  5. The Feds was going to take my gunms so they had a boating accident.
    Not the gunms, the Feds.

  6. In 20 years the gov will have AI drones with lasers – terminators… and traditional arms might as well be spit-balls. No escape. Orwellian Dystopian Hell.

    • Who do you think invents, builds, a supports all those Govt. toys from beans and bullets to aircraft carriers and nukes; and yes even AI drones w/lasers? A clue – it ain’t the govt.

    • I think both of you are true.
I often wonder what War will be like when the human element is replaced .
If I saw one of them robot dog looking things coming at me, whew, itd be no sht for playing possum , I wouldn’t know how to kill that bulletproof bulldog.

      • Machines are easy to disable, because they’re stupid and require logistical support. Throw a blanket or tarp over your theoretical dog to block it’s camera ‘eyes’, or spray them with black paint. A molotov cocktail or diy flamethrower works also. Or just stay out of it’s way till it runs out of power.

        • The dogs/humanoid drones are not as much of a concern past looking scary unless we see some serious advances in mobility and/or networked coordination. Now the lingering munitions that can drop a 40mm grenade equivalent via suicide drone that has hovered over the area for hours/days. Yeah those do not sound too fun. Some of the small tracked machine gun turrets would suck to deal with as well.

  7. I get that this is gun site and people want to chat about guns. But . . . Can we not admire Batman & Robin here in all their gay glory 🙂

  8. @SAFEupstateFML July 22, 2021 At 07:36

Yes, airborne or other long range stuff is more of a problem. The solution is not to confront them directly, but to go after the upstream supply/logistic chain. Sabotage works.

    • Interrupt the fuel supply. You don’t have to shoot down a plane that can’t get off the ground.

      • Why does the Road Warrior come to mind with the idea of government employees guarding refineries.

      • The tactic of supply chain disruption (which includes information, btw) has been around for several thousand years. And it’s generally been the best way to win a war ever since.

  9. Rifles and pistols alone won’t do against government forces, need big stuff that goes BANG and deliver it from a distance. EMP devices would be good against hi tech. At the least, hit and run mortar teams. If lo-tech rice farmers and goat herders can fight the US Military to a stand still for 20 years or so, then no reason we can’t. If it comes to that. Thing is, we’ll have to give up everything else, there will be no going home after work. Age will be a factor for civilian militia, the older one is the harder “hit and run” tactics will be. Get away vehicles will be easy targets. A lot to consider.
