November is for Thanksgiving, and the Christmas items aren’t put out around the house until after Thanksgiving weekend. Then it’s Christmas movies, Nativity scenes, and carols until Christmas Eve.
And *then* the actual 12 Days Of Christmas begin (anyone remember the song celebrating that tradition, and the corresponding day of Epiphany on Jan 6 signifying the arrival of the Wise Men at Bethlehem?).
I stay out of the stores as much as possible between mid-August thru the end of September, because they already have Christmas stuff out. C’mon!!

All indications are, unless acted on by an outside force, it should continue to do so for billions more.

Equal daylight and night is known as Equilux, and follows the equinox in northern latitudes – it will occur in the Twin Cities and northwards on Sept. 25th., and precedes it in southern latitudes. Ironically, there is no Equilux possible directly along the equator. Currently, the inclination of axis is at 23.4 degrees, and is slowly and imperceptibly decreasing, much like a spinning top correcting for wobble, due to the oblation of the shape of Earth. When there is zero polar axis, there will be no seasonal changes… but don’t worry, we’ll all be LONG extinct by then.
