In response to the El Paso mass shooting, Texas Governor Greg Abbott created the Texas Safety Commission. The first meeting of the Commission took place this morning.

The disturbing aspect of the Commission is who it includes…and who it doesn’t. When Abbott first listed the initial participants there were no representative of the gun rights community among the distinguished participants.

There was, however, a representative of the gun control group, Texas Gun Sense. Abbott also included prominent Big Tech firms, namely Twitter, Facebook, and two individuals from Google. These are corporations that have de-funded, de-platformed and banned gun-related publications, retailers and manufacturers in recent years.

It wasn’t until Texas’s gun rights organizations raised holy hell that a member of the Texas State Rifle Association was added to the list of attendees (there’s apparently no truth the rumor that he was force to sit at the back of the room).

In response to these disturbing developments, Gun Owners of America’s Texas Director, Rachel Malone, scheduled a rally outside the Capitol building this morning to let gun owners know that gun rights and Second Amendment freedoms may not be top of mind when the Commission does its work.

Also speaking to the crowd of about 100 people who gathered in Austin was Stephen Willeford, the hero of Sutherland Springs who used an AR-15 rifle to stop and hunt down the man who murdered 26 people and wounded 20 more in a church there in November of 2017.

Note: at about the 18:40 mark an individual in the crowd began objecting to Willeford’s message and debated him for about five minutes. It’s worth your time to view to that portion of the video.

Following are some images from the rally.

    • When you’re done pass it over. Why is it that the left can’t ever get hot women to hold their signs? It’s always the batshit crazy cat ladies that look like they got run over by a dumpster.. that was on fire.

    • I wonder what in the world convinced the Leftard hag it was a good idea to take of her T shirt, with that much hanging out she will develop skin cancer. She needs hats for those things,Uggh !

    • THIS is the problem. Leftist Psychopaths on Psych Meds or coming off of them. THIS woman an obvious example.

Why didn’t Abbot have a representative from Big Pharma?

Pharmaceutical anti ADHT, Depression, Anxiety, and Anti-Seizure Meds are responsible or partially responsible for over 98% of mass shooter actions.

    • “wanna see my boobies?”
      “Ya, I do”

“That’s enough. Roll ’em back up!”

Things that make you go; “aarrrgggg” 🙂

    • The hell with melt the guns… looks like she melted her boobs. Too bad I can’t un-see that one.

    • That creature there is pretty much why I prefer male furries, they at least take care of their bodies better.

    • Yeah, I was wondering why the photos were labeled NSFW until i got to those. My coworkers and boss would not care about pics of people with guns but nobody wants to see those sad sacks hanging.

  1. Great news article! BUT you can just black out what needs to be blacked out in the two bottom photos. We all would get the idea – no need to see saggy boobs.

  2. Besides the damage to my retinas caused by the last couple of shots(which clearly demonstrates the mind set of the anti-gun crowd) it sounds like the SCOTUS packing scheme of the dems.

  3. Rally outside every “safety commission” meeting. Have prepared, snarky press releases, n crafted messaging. Start with:

“We care about safety — especially the safety of peole who get shot because they can’t shoot back.”

“Common sense proposals are things that work; more of the stuff that didn’t stop the last shooting is … the other thing.”

“We’re rallying out here because they won’t let us into the discussions in there.”

With the proposal booklet to hand out.

    — You want “red flag” laws? We don’t need more people raising flags, we need people doing something about the flags we already have: they can’t even agree how many reports, incidents and indicators the Fla-kid racked up before his shooting spree.

    — You want background checks? How about getting the disqualifying stuff into the background system we have. That woulda maybe stopped that ex-AF guy who shot up a church.

    — You want fewer dead from spree killings? Responsers stop them, like the cops who shot the Detroit whack-job, the not the designated safety “officers” who ran into Fla high school, or the “just some guy” who stopped the church shootingh.

    — You wanna stop assaults in their tracks; one aspect of “safety.” Semi-auto carbines and standard magazines: equalizers vs. groups of home invaders. When it takes police on duty 56 shots to stop the Detroit whack-job, how about we allow a mother holding off a home invasion, more tha Creepy Joe’s two rounds in a shot gun.

    — Per the CDC, something between 5. and 2.5 million DGUs by citizens per year in the US. You wanna enhance “safety” maybe increase the ability of folks to defend them selves, and reduce their need to.

We’re willing to hear ideas to eliminate whack-jobs, or weapons in the hands of whack-jobs. We will ask for evidence that any proposal actually work, and won’t limit peaceful people providing their own safety. Per the CDC, something between 5. and 2.5 million DGUs by citizens per year in the US. **You wanna enhance “safety” maybe increase the ability of folks to defend them selves, and reduce their need to.**

    • They don’t care about any of that. There will never be reasoning with them. It will take blood and the threat of their own lives to change their perspectives. Plain and simple. It’s why if open carry marches were conducted on DC, for the first time, something might actually get done, because you would put those idiot politicians in a position to fear for their lives and then they would realize the sword is mightier than the pen. It’s a shitty way of doing things, because it’s violent, but history has proven there is no other way and there never will be.

  4. Jesus H. This is the last place I expected to see ugly naked boobs. Christ.

Yeah, I sailed right past the nsfw notice. Now I need eye bleach.

    • The gun owners are real folks with 9-5 jobs. The left are paid for pros hired by soros and bloomberg.

      • Yep – real people and not paid trolls.
To John Darbyshire – the most articulate person ever, perhaps Patrick Henry, would not be able to change the minds of the hoplophobe crowd, they already have their minds (?) made up. As another poster said, they have nothing to base their desires on (no more guns) except their emotional responses.

An observation – if Rachel had more notice (I got the invite on Tuesday evening as a GOA member) I suspect the attendance would have been much better. Hopefully this made some impact on the committee………………….

  5. 🎼 do your boobs hang low
Do they swivel to and fro
Can you tie ‘em in a knot
Can you tie ‘em in a bow

  6. Amazes me when I see adults arguing at the level of children.
    “I refuse to”
    “It shouldn’t be”
    “Make it harder”
No details. No logistics. No thinking it through. Just wishes and demands other people do something to make those wishes come true. Do what? They have no idea. Just do something.

    • Shire-man,

Progressives share two traits in common:
      (1) They want someone else to take care of them.
      (2) They want what they want based on emotion, fantasy, and their whimsical notion of virtue.

The heckler was a classic Progressive:
      (1) He was not willing to take personal responsibility for his own security. Instead, he wants government to handle it (preemptively with disarmament laws and reactionary police responses when attacks occur).
      (2) He wants to eliminate firearms because we should not need them in a perfect world where violent criminals are not supposed to exist and are not supposed to attack us.

Yes, his entire position and mindset is that of a toddler.

  7. Remember when getting naked in public got you 72 hour observation at the psych ward? Or at the very least a trip down to the county jail where half the strip search was already done before booking? How many traumatized kids were walking around there, permanently scarred for life? If they can display their sickness out in FULL public with kids around, how can they wonder why everyone calls them sick.

  8. I just threw up a little after getting to that last pic! Gonna take at least 3 beers to get that taste out of my mouth and the other 21 to try and get it out of my head.

  9. It’s really hard to take gun control people seriously when they send people like the b-r-o-a-d in the last two pix out to make their arguments for them.

  10. On a side note, TTAG influenced me to join GOA and FPC. Strength in numbers brothers and sisters.

    • SoCalJack, are you confirming what advertisers have been saying for years… that breasts sell?😊

  11. Glad this happened… even if most the carries and people that attend them make me cringe.

That said, how is that NOT indecent exposure? Mammaries are indeed a sexual organ, are they not? Not in a sense of pleasure but certainly in a sense of nurturing. It’s funny how they want to be treated equal, but if you beat their ass for hitting you, guess what they want…

    • B.D.,

Women claim that they want equality. In reality they do not.

There was a protest at a public beach in California where women were going topless. A physically fit man in his early 20s wearing only a bathing suite asked two topless women in their early 20s if they wanted equality. The two women gave an enthusiastic, “YES!”. Then he said he would demonstrate that they did not want equality. So, he asked both women to verify that he had good muscle tone on his chest. Both women happily agreed and felt his pectoral muscles on his chest. Then he he said he wanted to verify that both women had good muscle tone on their chests, which required that the man firmly touch their breasts.

The reaction from those two young women was priceless. Either they had to act on their emotion and tell him that he most certainly could not grab their breasts. Or they had to act on their principle (of equality) and let the young man grab their breasts. Their struggle made it clear that did not want true equality.

  12. So the real question is, if instead of that sign, she had a slung AK nestled in there underneath.. would everyone still be complaining? I think it would have udderly fantastic…

  13. Glad I wasn’t drinking hot coffee, Who ever that guy was in the last photo, he should try to get in shape and pump up those chest muscles. Just saying….

  14. All of those comments about some flapjacks and not a single person noted that the lady to the right of the speaker who is running for Congress btw is flagging a bunch of people with an un holstered revolver . Sometimes we are our own worst enemy smh

  15. Willeford is a class act. Berrating him because he couldnt save more is fucked up. Im sure it haunts him to this day.

  16. Are we gonna just ignore the woman in the first photo who is pointing her revolver at the people on her left?

    • Yea that’s what I mean… I love the fact that open carry happens, and the larger the numbers the better, but damn some of these people make me cringe. Why TF is she holding her revolver anyways?

  17. Sigh, how come the only time I see a topless woman, it’s not the kind of topless woman I want to see? Glad I have a strong stomach, since I didn’t see that until after lunch.

If Abbott supports any gun control measures, he can forget about another term. He needs us to win, and he needs to keep that front of mind during this whole process.

  18. I’m glad that homosexuals and the sexually liberated ladies take their tops off. I think it’s wonderful. I hope they continue to do it. They need to add a strap on dildo to their wardrobe. Well fitted for public attire. Since they have done so in the past.

I’m glad to see Rachel and Stephen working for everyone’s civil rights. Even if these other people hate item for it.
