“I do think gun reform is not an American ideology and would be desecrating the sacred document of the United States Constitution, the document that allowed this country to become so great.” – Kyle Kashuv in Meet the conservative Florida high school massacre survivor staunchly against gun control [via nydailynews.com]

  1. Asking for somebody to control you or others is un-American. It’s quite preposterous to me.
Not 10 minutes ago I had an adult ask me if he was allowed to leave a town meeting. Really, far to many of us are conditioned that servitude is the default state of man and any liberty you may have is a cheat.

    • A country full of sheep and not enough sheep dogs. Instead of talking softly and carrying a big stick, they are talking b s and carrying a soft cuddly stuffed animal.

      • For me, gun reform is when I swap out the furniture on my AR. And maybe switch from a red dot to a magnifying optic.

Seems totally American to me. And a little aMattelican too.

    • “Asking for somebody to control you or others is un-American.”

Asking somebody to control you or others is as American as capitalism.

“It’s apparent that the source of the greatest direct duress experienced by the ordinary adult is not the state but rather the business that employs him. Your foreman or supervisor gives you more or-else orders in a week than the police do in a decade.

      • I’m pretty sure in communist or socialist countries workers get PLENTY of or else orders. In a capitalist country you have options. Work for yourself, work for someone better, organize a union. In America you don’t have to be a sheep.

        • I’m pretty sure in communist or socialist countries workers get PLENTY of or else orders.

I wasn’t comparing capitalism to socialism. I was responding to an assertion made by the OP. But congratulations for your knee-jerk response that misses the point. The Socialists don’t need to take away your guns, because the Oligarchs have already disarmed you in your mind.

      • No such “or else” order includes “or else die” or “or else get thrown in a dungeon forever”, as is the case with government. That’s involuntary, and exactly the opposite of capitalism, where you cooperate in mutual exchange with your employer in an at-will arrangement.

As for the volume of instructions, government has already laid out hundreds of thousands if rules, regulations, statutes, and rulings for you to follow, even before you were born. They had hundreds and thousands more every year. Your supervisor is just telling you what truck to load. Sheesh. Unlike a cop, who can haul you off to jail, right now, your typical foreman or supervisor can’t do crap without going through channels. That can take months, if not years, before there is any discipline.

You got a little too far out in front of the facts on this one.

      • Orders from a boss are not control. Since 1865, employment in the USA has been entirely voluntary. If your boss tells you to clean a toilet or something else you don’t wish to do, you can end your voluntary employment agreement right there. If your boss uses force or coercion to keep you there against your will, that’s a criminal act.
The fact that you might not have a lot of other options doesn’t imply control, merely a disadvantage for you in negotiations.

      • Literally anything in your job description is a “do this or I don’t pay you” order. You don’t have to do anything if you don’t want paid

      • If you bring up the “evils of capitalism” stuff I think it’s safe to say that you are probably trying to promote some other system. I feel like you’re just mad that someone called out your nonsense. Watch your back smart guy the oligarchs might be watching you. LMFAO.

          Cathy Newman, is that you?

      • My black knee Jerking legs, tell me the socialist/communist in places like California do want to take my guns.

The Tech Billionaires like Paul Allen, also want my guns taken away. But he gets to keep his armed guard detail.

      • Cathy Newman huh? Ahhh What does she have to do with this? Anyway you are truly retarded. I guess I should be flattered you only respond to me. Apparently I got under your skin. It’s my Russian trolling background.

    • “. . . I had an adult ask me if he was allowed to leave a town meeting. . .”

You must have been in France or Germany.

    • “…far to many of us are conditioned that servitude is the default state of man…”

So, the public indoctrination education system is doing its job, it seems.

    • That conditioning will be greatly magnified once schools are fortresses, completely controlled and guarded by agents of government. The only armed people those impressionable young minds will see everyday will be agents of government. Generational warfare.

  2. “So, Melania… if you, uh… wanna get a little payback on Donald for that ‘Stormy’ thing… my senior prom’s coming up…”

    • It’s about damn time we had a First Lady that most red-blooded American males would *love* to have a throw with.

I guess Jackie O. was probably the last one, and even though she was married to a ‘D’, back then, they were the conservative ones…

      • JFK and RFK were probably the last pro-gun (D)s on the national scene, which adds more fuel to the conspiracy theories.

      • It’s about damn time that a “First anything” ceased to exist. It’s a wretched holdover from a mentality more suited to monarchy.

  3. The article mentions the Grassley-Cruz bill, that, among other things, supposedly makes it easier transport firearms across state lines without being hassled.

    Anybody know anything about it?

“The bill includes provisions making it easier to purchase and transport firearms across state lines.

The bill would allow for the interstate sale of firearms, and for the interstate transportation of firearms providing certain conditions are met. Guns transported across state lines will have to be unloaded, locked in a vehicle or kept in the trunk.

Another pro-gun provision of the bill will allow military members to buy guns in the states where they’re stationed.”

    • No No No clearly this is fake news because Ted Cruz is a globalist Canadian who’s wife is a council on foreign relations globalist(?) … said certain Trump supporters. Lol

  4. “I do think gun reform is not an American ideology and would be desecrating the sacred document of the United States Constitution, the document that allowed this country to become so great.”

Well, that settles it, then. I’m sure the anti’s will now see the error of their ways and give up.

    • Nah they just kept this kid out of the CNN townhall and off the alphabet networks. He actually supports universal background checks, but isn’t for banning semi-automatics or repealing the Second Amendment so they aren’t interested in hearing from him.

      • If he understood that NICS data is stored indefinitely, thus violating FOPA (like anyone really gives a flying fuck about any of FOPA’s restrictions on the government, and only uses it to keep the MG registry closed), he’d probably be against UBCs. Anyone who buys from an FFL is on the government’s shit-list.

        • Considering the amount of data the NSA collects anyone who buys ammo or accessories with a credit or debit card is probably on a “list”.

The difference is that the NSA list might actually be organized enough to be useful.

  5. “Meet the conservative Florida high school massacre survivor staunchly against gun control”

“The” is a definite article. The correct (but politically incorrect) article would be the indefinite “a”.

If we don’t know how many individuals fit the description, “conservative” and “staunchly against gun control”, we would use the indefinite “a” until we can establish that there is only one. No one is perfect, but it seems that nydailynews conveniently made another simple error. I’m not being pedantic. I’m just trying to identify manipulative dishonesty.

    • He’s the only one out there arguing the point sufficiently to gain media attention and a Whitehouse invitation. That’s “staunch”. If there were others, they’d have been invited, too, to show it isn’t just one guy. That’s “the.”

    • And that’s the problem. The left and MSM gathered up those kids in Florida and pushed them on every network they could.
They should do the same with this young man. Fight fire with fire.
Might be a little late though as things seem to be turning out for the worse IMO.

  6. A theoretical question:

If a right to defend oneself is given by God, why didn’t he provide humans with needles, like porcupines?

    • I’m not religious, but I think a response would be He gave us something even better, brains to innovate, and the hands to bring those innovations to life. Firearms are the result of the combination of those gifts, which we can use to exercise the right to self-defense.

    • Whether you’re religious or not the answers to this is found in an evolutionary biology class.

  7. Globalism is on the move again….NWO…Civil Disarmament and destruction of our fine US Constitutional Bill of Rights!

  8. Who at TTAG comments board will be declared ” Enemy of the State?!” Receiving the Big Government award of the “The ERPO !” Along with a “No knock warrant to seize whatever they have…!” Possible Rebel activity, as a political dissident….

    • “ERPO” is the U.S. Government’s Acronym for “SHOOT THROUGH THE DOOR” (so maybe it’s in communist Russian???).

RAISE BOTH HANDS ABOVE YOUR HEAD, WHILE MAKING LOBSTER CLAW PINCHING MOTIONS WITH YOUR HANDS, AND REPEAT AFTER ME. . .

Not on your safe, but it in the soffit above your doors and windows. Shotgun shells might do it, homemade claymores, wtf ever. Put chicken wire over the inside of your windows with a planter box under the open end at the bottom, fill the planter box with water for the tear gas, flash bangs can go in there too. This is where drones can really come into there own too. Asymmetrical warfare can actually be flip-flopped in the short term. They make cheap ones that can carry up to 20 pounds, that’s a lot of ordnance for a multi-channel receiver to allow you to drop. Oh, and get a proper dog.

      • IF IT SOUNDS INFLAMMATORY, KNOW THAT, THAT’S WHAT AN ERPO SOUNDS LIKE TO A LAWFUL CITIZEN.
