happy-new-year

Another year gone, another aborning. As so many have been under the current administration, 2015 was…interesting. In the Chinese curse sense of the word. And if the disarmer in chief has anything to say about it, the final year of his term will be even more so. Still, those of us who value and practice our Second Amendment rights have much to be thankful for . . .

More people in more states can and do exercise their RKBA every day. More Americans own more firearms than ever before. And with a few notable exceptions, the trend of firearm freedom continues to go our way.

As of midnight, those of us in Texas can now haul our heaters in plain sight for all the world to see and appreciate. And don’t forget that we’re living in a golden age of guns. If you’re looking for a new boomstick — any kind, really — there are more fun, reliable, effective, quality options at affordable price points than you can shake a cleaning rod at.

So with a critical election year now upon us — one that will see someone chosen who will likely appoint as many as three new Supreme Court justices — here’s to another great year gun-wise. We’ll be here bringing as much of it to you as our fingers can manage. And, as always, we thank you for being where you are, reading what we write every day. Happy new year.

  1. As I write Open Carry (albeit with a license) has been legal in Texas for thirteen minutes. The shock wave from the ensuing bloodbath has not made its way to Colorado yet.

Maybe if I go watch a Dirty Harry movie I won’t be able to hear the blast wave when it gets here.

  2. Happy New Year ya’all! Stay safe—it sounds a bit like the 4th of July around here!

  3. Happy new year to ttag and all the readers. Here’s to the new year. May she be a damn side better then the old. 🙂

  4. Happy new year and best wishes from down under. Different to last year when I was in Anchorage
Almost 2 January here – in just under 6 hours.
Now if the rain would stop I might still get in hunting trip before going back to work

  5. I don’t get what all the excitement for New Year’s is about; just another verse, same as the first.

    • Wa wa wa! Don’t bother getting excited about anything. Celebration if for drones man!!! DRONES!!!

  6. Happy New Year from me as well, to one and all who write here and come here to read.

BTW, what’s with using a little snubbie to pop the New Year cork? Shouldn’t that have been at least RF’s S&W 686 MAGNUM?
