Capt. John Raguso recently reviewed the Kel-Tec Sub-2000 .40 for TTAG. The Captain highlighted the Kel-Tec’s ability to use magazines from Glock, SIG-SAUER, Beretta and Smith & Wesson; which includes high cap mags. Hi-Point’s handgun caliber carbines do no such thing. In fact, their forthcoming .45-caliber carbine only accepts a Hi-Point eight-round magazine (ten rounds for the 9mm and .40 versions). thefirearmblog.com reports that a reader reports that Hi-Point reports (so we can report) that the gunmaker is developing extended magazines for their carbines. How many bullets that might be and when none of us—save Hi-Point—can say. And they didn’t. Yet.
