Concealed carry fashion show

There’s nothing incendiary about the above image to our readers. Well, excluding the proponents of civilian disarmament (e.g., the Campaign to Stop Gun Violence) who read TTAG on a regular basis, too. For these anti-gun groups and their vitriolic followers this poster is like a red rag to a bull. If Shannon Watts’ Moms Demand Action from Illegal Mayors doesn’t go all indignant-like on their Facebook page (which bans me from commenting) and Twitter (which bans me from even following) I’ll be deeply disappointed. If the Huffington Post doesn’t get all huffy about the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association’s mix of guns and glamor, I’ll be seriously surprised. My only other comment: I’m sorry I missed our date Gabby. Can we try again? I own a tux. Just sayin’ . . . [h/tΒ One_if_by_land1776]

    • I’ve worked at pricier events and never seen an open bar at those. But in this case would you want a bunch of gun advocates to be tipsy if a MAIG paparazi/spy is taking photos or video?

  1. Maybe Shannon T Watts will show up outside with her massive membership all holding bloody red shirts to try to engage the party goers in ‘common sense’ β€˜feeling’ politics – ‘for the children’.

    • I was hoping she would get all dolled up and be my date. . . . . I will even spring for a hotel room and champagne later. πŸ™‚

  2. Concealed? Well… I won’t cut it down, but I also won’t go to such a silly halfway-out-of-the-closet event…

The reason anti-gunners concede concealment permits is becasue it affords them an unopposed pulpit from wich to preach their lies. Out of sight, out of mind… No opposing argument. If you conceal, you’re letting them win.

    • They have not conceded anything. They strongly oppose it and it required decades of committed effort to win ccw as it is. It is worth noting that throughout American history concur lament was often illegal well before gun laws as we know them existed. And where not illegal it was often suspicious enough th warrant an arrest in the days before Miranda.

  3. Nothing incendiary about this, not in the typical sense, anyway. Well-armed woman, where feminine meets firearms? That’s hot.

  4. And why the hell was I not invited? I like womens and guns…

This fashion show should take place next to Bloombergs house just for sh!ts and giggles.

  5. Wish I could go, no make that wish it were someplace I’d be willing to step foot in.

Ladies who like guns buy gun stuff like non-gun Ladies like to buy shoes.

Womancan spend a lot of cash on gun stuff, just like the guys

  6. On body concealed carry is tough sledding for women, not a lot out there made to accommodate a gun.

It’s pretty easy for men, our clothes are usually big enough to hide a weapon well.

Unless, of course, you’re one of those skinny jeans wearing chumps, if so, just quit wearing girl’s pants and you’re good.

  7. The girlfriend carries off body in a well-designed bag. When she leaves work, she walks out with her right hand resting on top of the pistol pocket, with the bag resting on her left hip. With practice, I think its turned into a servicable defensive carry. And since it requires no effort, she carries more often than most guys I know, and in places that would see me and my carry coming a mile a way.

  8. If I was young and single, I would think that this would be a perfect opportunity to meet a like minded lady.

    • I’m pretty sure unless you’ve got a reason to be there (vendor, for example) you’d be picked out as a creeper pretty quick. It might just be that the ladies there are interested in self-defense, not getting hit on πŸ˜‰

  9. Maybe some of the bigger gun manufacturers could think about designing a pistol specifically for a woman’s concealment problems? Rather than a woman’s holster for an existing pistol, that is?
