Shit happens. When bad shit happens involving firearms, even when no one dies or receives a new hole in their body, it’s time to STOP. Stop and very slowly and methodically figure out what went wrong. You know; so that something even worse doesn’t happen. Laughing’s OK. A release of tension is a good thing. But a negligent discharge is not like falling off a tree swing or some other potentially lucrative America’s Funniest Home Videos moment. You know that scene in all the WWII movies when the good guys suddenly realize that they’re in the middle of a minefield? More like that. Oh, and if you happen to video something unsafe happening with a firearm, do NOT put it on YouTube. It makes all gun owners look bad. MikeB is watching . . .
There are not enough “O”s in STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID.
Sooner or later someone is going to get hurt or killed.
Wow, did the second guy really try to fire that AR after putting the grip in his pocket? The negligent discharge wasn’t moronic enough for those guys?
It looks like they’re trying to bump-fire the guns. The first guy did it, but his gun got away from him. Silly, wasteful AND dangerous, woohoo!
I was watching and wondering if these guys were part of the armed intelligensia.
I’m breakin’ balls, but you know my point, right? The percentage of gun owners who claim to be legitimate and responsible but who are really dangerous and reckless, is too high. That’s it.
Too high, yes, because any stupid person doing something is one too many. I think of all the times I’ve seen people driving cars while reading books or typing on a laptop on their steering wheel. If all of those drivers posted their exploits on youtube we’d think there were more of them than there are… it’s just a perception thing. In reality, I don’t think most gun owners shoot all that often.
More chlorine, shallow-end, etc.
Now you can see why I favor compulsory sterilization in rare instances, such as morons who handle guns like toys and certain ex-pats.
Wait, are you a birther?
Wrong ex-pat. Think pasta, the Castellamarese War, stuff like that.
Does it have to be in the form of a question? And I don’t even know the Patriot’s current roster . . .
I see what you did there Ralph!
The problem here is the first guy didn’t shoot the second guy. Morons the both of them.
Eric and Ralph are both correct. You will always find stupid people in all aspects of life, guns included (even more so with cars). These two guys are idiots and they make all gun owners look bad. Now MikeB gets to compare us all to these fools, which is totally unfair to responsible gun owners.
Well, I guess you could say I get to compare you to those fools. But what I don’t ever say is “A-ha, I knew it. All gun owners are like that.”
What I say is there’s a certain percentage who are, the exact figure we surely disagree on, but it’s there and it’s too high.
“Oh, and if you happen to video something unsafe happening with a firearm, do NOT put it on YouTube. It makes all gun owners look bad. MikeB is watching . . .”
…and masturbating.
and boom goes the dynamite…
