“Be sure of your target and what’s beyond it” doesn’t just mean make sure you’re aiming at something and there’s nothing behind it that could be wounded or killed by a stray bullet…although it does mean that. It also means be sure that your target won’t fragment and wound or kill someone. Or you. So shooting at rocks isn’t recommended. Doing so at close range without eye pro is even less advisable. Idiot.

  1. Rocks are my favorite targets.

To be fair, they are usually at least 200 yards away but they blow up nicely and you don’t have to go pick up the pieces afterwards.

  2. You know… as irresponsible as this is, there is something to appreciate about the skill that old trick shot shows (Annie Oakley, the Topperweins, etc.) required to do things like shoot a quarter out of the air with an old Colt revolver.

  3. Judging by the dress of the shooter, I suspect this happened somewhere in the Middle East. Way out in the US southwestern desert, there is virtually no one to hit. Just on principle, it’s not something I would do.

The guy is a pretty good shot.

  4. Well isn’t he just dead eye Dick! He needs to poke his head around a corner and shoot until a shot hits him between the eyes. That makes for a much better video.

  5. yeah what a dumbass. you know what is the same size as a can and safER to shoot at while tossing it up? i f’n coke can. bu that doesnt explode into click bait. stil shooting into the air is a big no brainer baddie.
