It’s the holy grail of gun control, as demanded by Michael Bloomberg and his minions as well as Dianne Feinstein and her associates in Congress: a total ban on firearms, other than those used by the government. And what government is embracing this “progressive” stance on ‘dangerous weapons, you might ask? The Al-Qaeda associated group known as ISIS has just made that declaration for all land under its control in Iraq . . .

From The Telegraph:

The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham has set out a list of rules for residents of Mosul as it seeks to impose its Islamist rules on Iraq’s second city.

[…]

No public gathering other than those organised by ISIS will be allowed at any stage. No guns will be allowed outside of its ranks.

It has been said many times that power grows out of the barrel of a gun, and it looks like ISIS is embracing that idea.

The impetus behind this move is pretty clear: ISIS wants a monopoly on power so they can force those living in areas under their control to follow their rather extreme version of Islam and nothing else. If all guns are illegal, then there would be no way for citizens to resist the impending approach of death squads and morality police.

It’s about power and control, not “safety.”

ISIS has now become the latest gun control advocacy organization, joining not only the ranks of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Moms Demand Action, the Violence Policy Coalition, and Everytown for Gun Safety, but also the Ku Klux Klan and the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China.

    • Seems that one is used as a bipod (the “gripod”) while the other is used as a foregrip, completely defeating the purpose of the gripod. Maybe it is like that because the positioning that is ideal for the bipod isn’t ideal for the foregrip and vice-versa?

      • The other issue is the scope. I’ve tried scoping an AK from the foregrip, and very few scopes have the right eye relief to be usable at that distance. Either he has a pistol scope on there, which would solve the eye relief problem, or he aims his rifle like an idiot, or not at all.

        • they generally dont aim in that part of the world. the scope would only be used to put his bullets in the general vicinity of his target.

      • It makes some sense to me actually. If I couldn’t find a bipod, and already had a foregrip, I’d stick a gripod on. Its purpose is not “completely defeated” since it still serves as a bipod.

        • I am totally happy I’m not the only gun geek that noticed the bipod and that ridiculous scope

    • @Nick D, there just ain’t no accounting for stupid bro. That’s just how haji rolls…full on stupid.

    • They don’t know anything about firearms. It’s more important that they be fanatical in their devotion than good with guns. I mean, they’re basically shooting up a bunch of unarmed civilians anyway.

    • Heck, just the folding front grip got a chuckle out of me.

Like anything hanging down on the bottom of an AK is going to be more snag-prone than that dang plowshare-shaped magazine…

      *snicker*

    • Hey every “army” needs FOBETS to run around with all the “toys” on their weapons.lol

  1. I think we need a list of all violent regimes, world-wide, that have gun control, so the country can see who are aligned with Bloomberg and Pelosi

      • The current regime has shown it will carry out whatever lawless actions it wants with impunity with no repercussions other than an armed populace resisting, so of course they want to disarm the populace to remove that threat.

In other regions news looks like there’s some serious s*** going on in Iraq.

  2. ISIS , at least, is honest about their intentions. They don’t pretend it’s for the benefit of anyone but themselves. There’s something to be said for that .

Anyways, gun control or no I give them five years before ISIS falls victim to the “Arab Recount”, aka another coup d’etat.

    • And this is why you should respect ISIS more than your average Democrat. When they want to genocide you they roll up some sleeves and do it themselves, pussyfooting around the issue just wastes everyone’s time.

    • its a Sunni rebellion, light Infantry couldnt have got this far without support, they will soon be seen off, interesting thing for me was O`bummer wanted to attack Assad, idiot was on the wrong side but he does that frequently so I guess you guys are not surprised when he acts like he isnt the POTUS, maybe more like a Mayor lol worrying tho

      • Obama has been on the side of muslim extremists single every time in his foreign policies. If he didn’t just pull us out of Iraq I bet he’d be celebrating this as a continuation of the Arab spring.

    • From their perspective, it actually makes a lot of sense for other reasons. In terms of religious commandments, radical Islam such as these guys practice prohibits weapons for “unbelievers”. On the other hand, in an open confrontation like that, jihad is considered ‘fard ayn’ (i.e. personally obligatory) for any believer in the area. So, basically, if you’re a believer who is entitled to arms, you better damn well be in their militia; if you’re not, then you’re either not a believer, or shirking your sacred duty.

  3. Is there any doubt that Statists in the US would do any differently than ISIS if they thought they could get away with it?

  4. Hitler too, be good to see something formal from the loony left defining how their stance on gun control is different from the Nazis and ISIS. Perhaps they could also tell the world why the Federal Govt of the USA needs so much ammunition?

  5. Ok cue barry praising them for their baning weapons if war program to “protect the children”

  6. Wasn’t there once a policy in place where every household in Iraq could have an AK-47? I’m guessing this policy was changed somewhere or not widely adopted since it would’ve caused ISIS to have a much more difficult time taking over Iraq.

    • It was in place. But ISIS has so far mainly taken over Sunni-majority areas, where they have some popular support (the existing Iraqi government is run by Shia and discriminated against Sunni).

  7. Gaze upon the future and past of control under tyranny. Statists, welcome it with open arms. Revel in the texture of the boot upon your neck, and the cool earth thrown on your body as the mass graves are filled. Welcome the death of liberty and the enslavement of your children.

Cry not for the freedom lost, for the state will provide. Weep not for your offspring, for the state will give their lives purpose. Cry not to your deities, for they will forsake. Prostrate before your great leader, he will answer your cries with the fruits of those less deserving.

Welcome to utopia. Welcome the end.

    • Shannon and her flock will have to wear burkas and veils if they want to march….after all over there its Imams Demand Action…

      • Let’s send her there, once there, she’ll have to stay inside. “Finally all women must dress in concealing clothing that preserve decency. Females should only go outside “if necessary”.” We have have the gun control issue in hand, you stay inside, cook, wash, and other women things.

  8. “No guns will be allowed outside of its ranks.”

Don’t worry, soon no people will be allowed outside its ranks, either.

  9. The president now has another state gun policy to hold out as an example of a common sense approach to gun control. I guess as long as there aren’t any bodies on the fairway everything is cool with barry.

And with all this going on I can’t help but think that the “kids” flooding our boarder is just a cover to get some of these ISIS fighters, who look more like BASQ (?) fighters than the usual jihadists, into our country.

  10. Power comes from the barrel of a gun. It is astounding to me that 5000(?) ISIS a##holes can conquer Iraq. Yeah it’s bizarre to see Muslim & Jewish agreement. Countdown to Armegeddon in 3…2…1…

  11. My post to Facebook:

What better way for ISIS to control the population of Iraq? The declaration of gun control, of course. In the US, gun control has been re-named “gun safety” since it sounds nicer. Regardless of the name, the endgame of gun control – whether by Feinstein, Hitler, or ISIS is all the same: control. History may show us, yet again, what happens when only the bad guys have guns.

Send this story far and wide so that all your friends and acquaintances can see the endgame of gun control.

  12. Finally! Someone finally figured out how to end the violence in the Middle East that has been going on since the dawn of civilization. This IS the answer. Just ask Bloomberg and Feinstein. /sarc

Of course us with common sense all know all this will pan out: badly.

  13. Fine way of explaining, and pleasant article to take data regarding mmy presentation subject
matter, which i am going to convey in school.

  14. Sooo, it is like the US Bill of Rights in reverse?

1-No free assembly, only one religion
    2-No guns
    3-????
    4-Profit

  15. ISIS is merely emulating the Everyclown disarmament mob. Bloomberg’s front woman is slightly more telegenic than any of the ISIS goons, but the message is the same: submit!

I think that Shiites are smarter than New Yorkers, but we’ll see.

  16. ISIS = Everytown…interesting parallel there. They both do use the same close-in camera work showing no more than a couple dozen “grass roots” supporters.

  17. What a fine bunch Diane Feinstein, Barack Obama, Michael Bloomberg, Chuck Schumer, Rahm Emanuel, Barbara Boxer and the other fine, outstanding citizens inspire, eh? Let’s get their publicists at the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune and the Sun Times, MSNBC and other COMCAST outlets, CNN and other anti-gun outlets to interview the ISIS and also have anti gun unionized teachers in our great educational system teach our children about the values that these outstanding gentlemen embody! As John Meacham proclaimed when Dear Leader first became president, he is not just the President of America, he is the leader of the whole world! The ISIS proves this to be most emphatically true! Let’s all get together, hold hands, and sing Kumbayya!

  18. Obama is a Sunni. This will be on a quiz later when they come over here and start shooting Christians and Shiite’s.

  19. “ISIS has now become the latest gun control advocacy organization, joining not only the ranks of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Moms Demand Action, the Violence Policy Coalition, and Everytown for Gun Safety, but also the Ku Klux Klan and the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China.”

That last paragraph of the article sums things up pretty well. Now we have to apply that truth and begin asking the gun grabber groups why they support and espouse terrorist and communist policies.

  20. Hmm… I wonder what the penalty for disobeying the new ‘law’ is. Probably just a fine?

  21. Obama, Bloomberg, Watts, Feinstein and crew are all very very proud of ISIS and jealous at the efficiency in which they’ve accomplished the same thing they’ve been trying to do for years.

    • Is it true that Bill Gates owns ISIS? He’s just using them to push Iraq and Syria to adopt Windows 8 to boost worldwide sales.

      • lol… almost spat out my coffee. Yeah, hell, these days.. you never know anymore!

  22. Obama,Bloomberg, Feinstein et al will probably invite the leaders of ISIS to a meeting to discuss how to implement this in America. Seeing as how well it will work for one set of tyrants, why not let all tyrants share the plan.

  23. Violent Islamists and Progressive totalitarians find yet more common ground. Gun Control, selective tolerance, selective human rights, selective choice in life, selective free speech, overbearing control of all people, and the platform of perverse, delusional, moral superiority

    • Thumbs Up!

We just want honest dialogue leading to common sense gun laws. Specifically we want EveryGun turned in or or else we’ll kill you and EveryOne in #EveryTown.

And no more 32 oz Big Gulps while we’re at it

  24. LOL @ everybody here bashing the democrats. They do deserve all the bashing, but Im sure many here were or are republicans that supported the war started by Bush and Cheney. And dont fool yourselves, republicans would support strict gun controls in Iraq, since they love to practice doublethinking when it comes to the foreign policy.

And also remember, republicans love to support the Saudis who support those guys. Now, let we all swallow our pride and chant: Ron Paul was right.

    • You’re not going to win any converts with that attitude. The only thing worse is trying to forget the fact that Ron Paul had his chance numerous times to win the nomination, but kept blowing it.

Also, the average Iraqi citizen were allowed an AK47 and several 30 round magazines. But I don’t conflate the 2A to driving around with a trunk full of 150 mm shell rounds with a C4 and detonator strapped to it, while looking for a bunch of children getting candy from passing U.S. soldiers.

      • Yeah, kept blowing it because people love to believe that politicians have magical powers and that they should tell pretty lies. I supported the Iraq invasion back then, I was a naive neo-con, but I came to my senses and I admit I was wrong and anyone can look at the mess it has become.

Politics are an empire of lies, the fact that Ron Paul managed to be a senator for so long while telling the truth and came close to be a president candidate was already quite a feat.

        • You may have “come to your senses” but I will NEVER forgive “naive neo-cons” (more properly, congenital idiots) like YOU for backing a war which may well end up costing us our gun rights (by opening the way for Obama to get elected.)
I’ve been pro-gun all my life (since I was old enough to know about the gun issue, back in 1978 or so!) and I knew our freedoms were in deep, deep trouble the moment I got news of the WTC being attacked on 9/11. I didn’t fear the terrorists at the time, and never have any more than I would any other criminals… I feared (and still fear) my OWN GOVERNMENT, and what it was going to do.
So far, I’ve predicted everything that would happen. During the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq, I tried to talk to people at gun shops, on the street and online… people like YOU, Vitor… and most of them rolled their eyes at me, or questioned my patriotism. I knew on the day Bush invaded Iraq that 1. it would become a quagmire, 2. we would eventually give up and the Islamic fundamentalists would take over there, and the whole Middle East would likely become stabilized. 3. I knew the Demo-Rats would take advantage of the situation and return to power… and 4. possibly take away our gun rights. So far, 3 out of 4 items have come to pass. And as for item #4…
If we DO end up losing our gun rights to Obama or Hillary’s machinations, I hope you (and the rest of the rah-rah idiots who cheered Bush and Cheney on) get a particularly nasty form of cancer and die in agony. Or better yet… you meet a thug who takes advantage of your newly-disarmed status. Poetic justice!

  25. So their first act of “governance” is to get rid of any Iraqi notion of our First and Second Amendment. That sounds a little too close to home…

That pretty well sums it up. There really isn’t much more to say about it. Well done.

  27. The towelies seem to have a never ending supply of .308/7.62 ammo. I wonder if they have to pay 60 cents a round like I do.

  28. Looks like “Mullahs Demand Action”, a middle eastern chapter of the moms, has been very successful in making Iraq safe for…ISIS…wait, what?

Is shannon going to claim victory here?

  29. The day your government tells you you no longer need guns is the day you’ll need one the most !

  30. I say that all the counterys should just get out if there & let them do as they please, going town to town recruteing people,& the police/troops of the place they go to take over peacefully hand over their guns & vehicals, its a lost couse to be there, probally ONLY reason any has a problem with them doing that is because theirs a risk of them going & taking over where the oil refinery’s are & cut off exportation or jack prices WAY UP

  31. If ISIS gain control over there it will surely lead to more terrorist attacks elsewhere….after everything the AUS, US ect soldiers did over there to try and keep the peace why isn’t anyone interveining to help the stranded soldiers and gain control?!!!!
