“Settlers from the West Bank village of Yitzhar clashed May 19 with residents of the Palestinian village Asira al-Qibliya,” jta.org reports. “A Palestinian man, 24 was injured in the head by the gunfire.” As always in the Middle East, context (or lack thereof) is everything. For those who seek more than a snippet, B’tselem (“The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories”) released three videos of the confrontation. Click here for their YouTube channel. “Both sides claim that the other began the rock throwing and set the fires. At least three Israeli soldiers stood with the settlers and did not intervene as they fired on rock-throwing Palestinians.” And there’s the source of the viral outrage: Israeli soldiers didn’t act to prevent further carnage. Which didn’t happen.
Good shot.
Whatever happens, I have no pity or sympathy for the Palestinians. They deny Israel’s right to exist, terrorize its people, and make a general nuisance of themselves – or worse – almost every single day. They deserve just about everything they get.

They deny Israel’s right? I think you’ve got it mixed up, it is the Israelis who are pushing, killing and denying the indigenous Palestinians out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_people
Bullshit. Ever since Biblical times that land has changed hands multiple times. The Brits were the current owners of the land and split it up. Both sides should be happy they got a share. All throughout history lands have changed ownership. It’s a natural progression. Get pissy all you want but it is what it is and the choice is either get along for everyone’s betterment or continue getting your panties in a wad over something that isn’t going to change.
The Arab states have tried multiple times to wipe Israel off the map and only ended up getting whipped and some of their land taken as a buffer. The Israelis wanted nothing more than some land to peacefully call their own and wouldn’t have shown an ounce of aggression if they hadn’t been attacked from day one and repeatedly ever since. Every major action on Israels behalf has been a response to aggression. Maybe if the Arab States had shown a bit of of acceptance we wouldn’t have to see videos like this. Israel isn’t going away. In the event they can’t handle something themselves the U.S. will back them up. A person might as well get pissed off and throw rocks because the sky is blue.
Continue trying to justify your willful ignorance with a bunch of words that never really say anything other than prove your allegiance to a group of people because of some imaginary story you were told as a child, the fact of the matter is, the Jews are doing to Palestinians what we did to the Native Americans and any other explanation is an attempt to rewrite history or cover the truth with something prettier.
Now if you said it’s the “Spoils of War” then I could fully understand that for what it is but not admitting what’s really happening there is a sad attempt to justify your support of an ethnic cleansing.
Wiebelhaus,
I wasn’t told anything as a child and even if I was I hold no religion so thank you so much for being high and mighty enough to presume anything about my upbringing. Since you know so much about me already can you tell me my future too, numbers for the lottery perhaps? If you can find it within yourself to make an actual argument as opposed to a bunch of presumptions and idealist fluff I look forward to it.
Let’s start off simple. How, pray tell, have the Palestinians taken the high road? If violence wasn’t an issue the Israelis would be more than happy to allow anyone and everyone (as they try to do now) full access to their country and all holy sites contained within. How have the Palestinians repayed that favor?
Trying to bring up the Native Americans is weak at best. The sociopolitical dynamics are entirely different except, that is, if you choose to ignore sociopolitical dynamics entirely as you’ve done already and simply go for the a soft steaming pile of emotion.
“Both sides should be happy they got a share.”
But the Palestinian’s side seems to keep shrinking. Strange. It’s almost like Israel refuses to declare it’s borders or something.
“The Arab states have tried multiple times to wipe Israel off the map[…]”
Nice use of standardized talking point created by the Republican theocracy-in-waiting, but the whole “wiped off the map” statement never happened. Even rabidly liberal Wikipedia agrees on that.
“Every major action on Israels behalf has been a response to aggression.”
<a href="www.amnesty.org/en/library/asset/MDE15/015/2009/en/8f299083-9a74-4853-860f-0563725e633a/mde150152009en.pdf"Operation Cast Lead (PDF) not ringing a bell?
I wasn’t told anything as a child and even if I was I hold no religion[…]”
Then why the rabid, unquestioning support for Israel? Is it because some politician with a spotlight and a teleprompter told you that you should? Are you buying into the “our closest ally” and “only democracy in the Middle East” nonsense?
“If violence wasn’t an issue the Israelis would be more than happy to allow anyone and everyone (as they try to do now) full access to their country and all holy sites contained within.”
Is that right? Happy to allow anyone? So, clearly, you’ve never read about Israel’s internal checkpoint system Checkpoints that even the Bush Administration said were violations of basic human rights? Or their 400+ mile long Berlin Wall they’ve been building since 2000?
“The Israelis wanted nothing more than some land to peacefully call their own and wouldn’t have shown an ounce of aggression if they hadn’t been attacked from day one and repeatedly ever since.”
So they’re just a peaceful, misunderstood bunch, right? They hold no ill will toward anyone. The redheaded step-child of the world, forced to perpetually endure the wrath of it’s older, unadopted siblings. Those poor souls.
Since it’s the biggest block of information, I leave you with a list of UN resolutions Israel (that country only interested in peace) has violated since 1967. There’s roughly 240 of them, compiled from a couple different sources, so forgive the formatting.
Immediately following that is a list of countries that have had to expel Jews from within their borders going back 2000 years. (Taken from this site.)
Wonder why everyone keeps picking on them. They’re only interested in peace.
I look forward to your reply. Replies of “anti-semite” or “tl;dr” do not count.

+1 to James
Let’s also not forget that the US has vetoed a bunch of resolutions that the UN made towards Israel when it blatantly violated human rights. We in the US forget that the US government is completely pro-Israel and the media will reflect as such.
@James.
TL DR.
Israel’s borders were declared in 1948. The Arabs didn’t respect them, started a war and lost, and justly lost land.
In 1956 Israel kicked Egypt’s ass, and then gave land back under an agreement to demilitarize the Sinai. Naturally Egypt violated that agreement and declared a blockade to boot (i.e. an act of war). Israel kicked ass and took more land, justly.
Hey Arabs – stop attacking Israel and you’ll stop losing land.
@ Anon in CT:
TL;DR shows your complete lack of any kind of understanding of the situation, and completely removes any right of comment you have from it.
Volumes have been written on this issue. More volumes wait to be written. If one post is TL;DR, then you don’t really know shit about shit, do you?
If you love Israel so much, why don’t you just go there? I hear they love having visitors, especially Western Christians.
I hate to say this but the Palestinians were not indigenous. They were mainly forced out of other surrounding countries. None of the Arab world wants them, there are Palestinian camps in most of the surrounding countries, and they are treated like dirt. A lot worse than how Israel treats them. Then again how do you treat someone who shoots rockets at you or blows up your malls, buses, and hotels?
I used to live near the mall in Netanya. Twice it was bombed, and we had to mop up what was left of the idiot off the walls so our kids wouldn’t see it. I almost lost my first wife in a bombing in Tel Aviv. I really have no sympathy for someone who wants to kill me or my kids. If they were using peaceful protests which they never really did, intafadas have been going on as long as I can remember, then I might be moved.
While I Gaza I saw first hand the kindergarteners playing kill the Jew. Or seeing their racist sesame street. I am not believing the hype or a story or the media, I made my own conclusions with what I saw with my own eyes.
Then again as a new recruit I remember try to fix an old Palestinian mans car. He was on his way to visit his son. We couldn’t get it started so we gave him a ride to the prison. But you know we were mean oppressors..
james, well done 🙂
palestinians are not indigenous? do your damned homework.
I cant wait to see that region burn some more.
Nobody bailed my parents out when their home was foreclosed on…but the US bails out a JEWISH state clear over in the middle east. Utterly stupid.
Whenever guys with guns are fighting against guys throwing rocks, I’m sympathetic with the rock-throwers.
I’m surprised Robert even posted this one because it makes the Israelis look like the US-backed bullies that they are. This is true from top to bottom, from the tables of diplomacy to the village skirmishes.
They’re attitude of, “you kick my dog, I’ll blow up your house,” really appeals to you gun-rights advocates. But it’s nothing more than school-yard bully activity.
Their attitude of “you kick my dog, I’ll blow up your house” makes perfect sense if you are a country with the tactical depth of toilet paper surrounded by countries who have been incredibly vocal about the fact that they want to destroy your country and everyone in it.
Being so overwhelmingly militarily superior and leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind about their willingness to use that superiority is the only way Israel can survive.
“Whenever guys with guns are fighting against guys throwing rocks, I’m sympathetic with the rock-throwers.”
So numbers don’t matter? Israel is 8 million people surrounded by 120 million whose governments what Israel gone.
Israel has been at war with its neighbors 8 times in the 60 years it’s been a state, and 3 of those were coalitions that included Egypt, a country with 10 times Israel’s population.
Right now, there’s a terrorist attack in Israel every few weeks.
Calling Israel’s actions those of a schoolyard bully is simply ludicrous. In your analogy, the “bullied” people have been trying to kill the “bully” for 60 years, and have only been held at bay through the actions you call “bullying.”
Israel’s not perfect, and they sometimes do stupid things in their striving to be aggressive, but aggressive the have to be.
They are defending themselves from religious nuts pushing them from their homes. I’m all for Isreal’s right to exist, but I think the bring half of their problems on themselves.

And there is no such thing as a “palestinian” and there is no county, province, or geographical area called palestine.

My Internet is so much fun.
Area has been up for grabs for a long time. Was forcibly settled by the Egyptians putting the Sea Peoples ( who may have been from what is now Greece ). Haribu enter the picture later and settled there. See saw with Syrians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans. The Hebrews were later dumb enough to take on Rome and got scattered. What was left of the Daughters of the Roman Empire regurgitated the Jews to Palestine which was formerly under control of the Turks.
Heck with it.
All the Earth is Roman Earth.
Of course there isn’t. The US (and its various mouthpieces) is the only one who call it Palestine and its inhabitants Palestinians.
The country was known as Philistia, and the inhabitants were the Philistines.
But, by all means, give 100% unquestioning credence to what some cowboy on a park bench says. Based on his coffee mug, I don’t think he has a dog in the fight anyway.
james, you keep doing my work for me. I think you are fighting a gnarly battle here. Ill stand by you.
Thanks for that video of Wild Bill. His description of all the things Islam has given the world was one of the most hateful and bigoted little diatribes I’ve ever heard. That, followed by his simplistic description ad the Arab-Israeli conflict, made that one of the all-time most hateful videos I’ve seen.
If your first instinct is to toss stones at a man with a loaded AR15, you deserve to reap the consequences of doing so.

Don’t bring a rock to a gun fight!
This reminds me of the text on a billboard that I often see returning from the range:
“What a mans sows, that shall he also reap.”
My my the harsh words coming from ignorance plz if u don’t know don’t comment here in the states if u throw a rock I throw one back or we fight like man fist for fist not like punks ill shoot at u because I can’t fight like a man put guns on both sides give them tanks rockets etc. u
just don’t know what ppl have to live thru there both wrong but what’s worse is one side has a military & weapons to protect themselves &
families while the other only has what god gave them rocks so think b4 u say anything in my opinion the ones throwing the rocks are man the shooting are bitches give them all the freedom to bare arms
Not even commenting on your topic…..
You’d be much more convincing if you posted in something resembling adult English. A forum affords a person the luxury of time to use actual words, proper capitals and punctuation. Children write the kind of drivel you just took two seconds to type and you pretty much just posted the online equivalent of a crayon-written holiday card.
I bet u feel great using big words & proper English to make u feel special or worth anything I feel sorry for you don’t worry ill pray that some day you’ll feel good enough about yourself that you won’t have to hide behind your fancy degree Ian glad to be in the land of the free were ppl like me make as much or more off smart asses like u feels good in the end I feel sorry for you must be real small need big words feel like man him cave man savage lmao 😉
You presume far too much. All I got was a high school diploma, and barely at that. I also don’t make the big bucks which means you’ve completely misjudged me, are deflecting and are missing the point entirely. It’s not a matter of education or wealth. It’s a matter of caring enough about what you say to put forth the effort to be as clear as you can. Write like a slob all you want but if you want to be taken seriously, let alone understood, try putting some effort into expressing your feelings in a way that truly reflects and does justice to your convictions.
Haven’t we already had this conversation, Abe?
Just out of curiosity, abe, what then do you call the guys who who send in a retarded kid with explosives strapped to his body? Would this be manly or the other thing?
B’tselem is a hard left anti Israel NGO, in B’tselem’s opinion Israel is a serial human rights abuser and the IDF is a brutal force of repression, in short anything they say is suspect.
Nothing beats watching kooky desert savages massacre eachother.
Very true. It would be the best comedy/reality show we could possibly ask for – two tribes killing each other off over whose peaceful, loving, imaginary sky-daddy has the bigger dick.
It’s just a damn shame the American taxpayer is footing the bill for most of it.
“Reality show” seems about right. Truth and fiction are identical in the Middle East. Maybe our taxes can pay
Colby to referee.
Palestinians like to egg on the Israelis for propaganda purposes.
I thought the Israelis were fairly restrained in the video.
I am not a Jew and not really pro-Israel.
Too much religion and not enough faith in the Holy Land or un Holy Land, depending on your view.
Lovely neighborhood over there, wonder what the property values are like with shootings, riots, and Army walking about.
Much ado about nothing. The settlers were very restrained. They were firing rubber bullets. Any attempt to portray this as use of real bullets is all kabuki theatre. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4231791,00.html
Article I read this morning stated they were shooting rubber bullets. I’ve tried to find it again, but I’m too lazy.
With all the demonizing, marginalization, and false-flag operations like FnF by the O administration, it’s only a matter of time before factions in the US are like that. Future American neighborhoods right there.
Kind of got a little misty eyed.. I remember those times. Gaza was fun. You know you are searching for a bad guy and people are dropping cinder blocks on you from roof tops. Or throwing large stones, or shooting at you. But you know you just kept moving quickly to get in and out. As much as we would have liked to take them on it wasn’t our mission.
It is funny, in the last month alone three Palestinians brought sick kids to boarder crossings. One was a small baby and the medic there saved her life, so she could be transported to Israel for further treatment. Of course this doesn’t make the news outside of Israel because it would make the IDF, i.e. me look compassionate.
I have three of my kids living there now so I do worry..
I remember when the boarders we open and we used to go into the west bank or Gaza all the time to eat or shop. Once the line 5 bus bombing everything changed.
Unfortunately no good deed on Israels behalf is newsworthy.
You know Mr wild bill and the rest ill never forget the summer of 1993. it was the 4th of July I was in equally playing happy it was our independence day I was throwing those snap bombs that we throw on the ground that make a weak popping sound let alone a bomb sound. When five zionist soldiers came running towards me I was only 13 at the time frighten & yes scared they pressed there machine guns to the back of my head yelling at me in what they call English they knew I was American. when I tried to explain it was the 4th I’m just proud to be American no harm intended here my passport I’m sorry they were yelling spitting telling me we gives. a dam f America they stepped all over my passport spitting on it saying this isn’t America we don’t give a dam about your country so on it gave me nightmare I still think about it till this day and here we are Mr wild bill paying taxes giving them aid while here in our states were homeless starving and dying to ppl who really hate everything and everyone most of all us America the country who made them , don’t take my word for it like they told me then they can’t wait till our country falls thinks for the help dummies so were was Mr sanchacim and wild bill when I needed my help from my country men so they can see what they did to me my flag and passport I was a kid man unarmed and it was a time of no war or violence I’m sorry for my ruin sentences fragments and poor English but it hurts to see my country men blind to the facts they wish the whole world dead not just Arabs the zionist not all good Israelis because there are good Israelis but there army and the zionist pigs are the ones who are gonna destroy the world they are the man that will destroy the world like all religious sayings talk about the zionist I love all mankind and want peace for all bless all of u good or evil .
Please, do not feed this troll.
Sorry truth hurts
Sorry truth hurts to be honest this is exactly what I expect from someone like you sorry to say a lot of us are sad cases like you but still were all entitled to our opinion at least here we can have are own opinion and beliefs thats what the real problem is over there to begin with like I said give each of them there own army and weapons stay out of it and let them deal with it. it’s not exactly fair now is it on side has an army and the other has rocks not to mention Israelis and Palestinians are first cousins look the same so who to say is really causing the problem just be open minded but the hard for most to do its easier to get wasted
You proved my point Matthew were lost
I’m sorry to say were blind our country is falling apart from with in the rich is getting richer and were falling apart sorry to say were gonna be the new Israel and Israel is gonna be the new America watch and let me see them help us the way we helped them mark my words there gonna spit and laugh in our faces I can’t but admire the Israelis they got the world were they want us wow sorry to say it but history always repeats itself I just wish this time around will still be on top just look around open your eyes guys were losing freedom everyday while we watch it slip on bye who cares right I’m just gonna get drunk do drugs and watch sports yeee haaa god help us all for what is to come I pray I’m wrong long live America god bless all mankind for we don’t know what we do or care about our fellow man.
Just remember Mel Gibson movie the passion of Christ it’s true and I’m not Christian but believe in Jesus and mother Marie for god sakes they killed Jesus and punished mother Marie plz tell me I’m lying so when god burns you for lying I can say told u so like I said blind and helpless that’s fact and the only true fact I care about crucified by the Jews the zionist Jews sorry can’t be on no ones side that did that to Jesus and the mother I wanna go to heaven if u believe in god that is theses days. peace to all mankind.
I just spent 45 minutes writing a reply above that does not appear to be going through. Maybe because there’s a lot of links? I don’t know, but it’s a real kick in the nuts to see all that time and effort flushed down the toilet.
Got caught in the spam filter. Released!
I am sure it is the devil’s doing that 3 major religions that can’t/don’t/won’t get along with each other have to share the same “holy” ground. People have been fighting and killing over that same patch of earth for thousands of years, and I have every confidence that they will still be fighting and killing over it thousands of years from now, all in the name of their loving Gods.
Don,t pick on abe for his grammar. He is obviously the product of lead paint poisoning.
I would and if needed will gladly pick up a rifle and defend Israel against the people who attack her every day.
I guess u can start with me I got so many rifles ill let u borrow. one I got so many don’t know what to do with them last see who draw faster. name the place and time ill be glad to stand toe to toe with you got a new 50 cal I’m I still never took to the range what u say ill let u borrow one of mine everything. I own is top notch name it u got it ill even buy u one to your liking if u want I’m all about fair and extending my pricey collection u down.
May I ask why you would defend Israel with force if called upon to do so? I won’t respond to your answer if you don’t want me to, I’m not trying to pick a fight, I’m just curious because you said you would but didn’t follow with why.
No Ian talking to the idiot anstompahippie that comment was directed towards his coward ass all I got to say Mel Gibson rocks he showed us the truth passion of the Christ if your against god and his will I’m against u sorry that hit home for me I’m against anybody who can be with anybody the crucified Jesus and the mother
What’s said is that Mel Gibson had to apologize for showing and telling the truth it shows how much power and influence they hold over our government and television its sad that u have to hide from the truth what type of example are we teaching our future children of our great nation is to give up and bend over for a country not even the size of Chicago that’s sick if u ask me and worse its saying don’t believe in gods word sad so so sad I’m sorry to say the truth is coming good luck and goodbye all peace
Because he, as do I, hold no religion but follow geopolitical issues with a passion. He is my brother and we both find the Israeli cause far, far more compelling than the Philistines.
U know what’s fucked up is I think your right lol I have over 10,000 lead bullets Shit I’m a doomsday prepare but only with my second amendment right Shit thanks never thought about that thanks for shading some light on that all my multi culture and multi racial friends always told me I’m kinda off my bc the 5 zionist. pigs that had the machine guns pressed against my head and stepping on my red white and blue flag than spitting on my us passport had something to do with it don’t know but all my friends glad when Shit hits the fan that got my bunker to run to don’t matter what color culture your are if I love u I got your back in anytime of need believe that lead poisoning or not
To answer your question I think I do have lead poisoning from the 15,0000 lead bullets. I have Shit your right man I love my second amendment right I’m pro American and truth so plz don’t hate stompahippie at least when Shit hit the fan like when those zionist pigs pressed those 5 machine guns to my skull ripped my red whit and blue flag out my hand threw it and my passport spitting and stomping on them that showed me that day how much they love our great nation that put them on the map and still paying there way how dare u say you’ll protect the ones that did that to our flag unless your not American yea that’s it and I’m sorry I’m off after that day buddy
So is it 10 or 15 thousand lead bullets? What is it – you cast 5,000 bullets in 57 minutes, you can’t count or you’re full of shit? What alloy? What lube? Gas checked or no? What calibers?
