The current unpleasantries in the Middle East have spilled over to affect Americans right here at home. Jews have become targets of pro-Palestinian mobs in a number of cities. There have been fist fights in Times Square and fireworks attacks in New York’s diamond district.

Diners in New York and Los Angles have been assaulted and spat upon.

Yesterday a family in Miami was threatened as they left a synagogue. They were defended by a Good Samaritan with a gun.

From Yahoo News . . .

Eric Orgen said he, his wife, and his daughter, 16, had just left a synagogue in Bal Harbour and were walking on the sidewalk when a group of men driving by started shouting and throwing garbage at them.

“They just started screaming some derogatory things towards Jewish people out the window,” Orgen told WPEC-TV of West Palm Beach. “My first thought was just making sure my wife and daughter were behind me so I could take the brunt of anything that was going to happen.”

Orgen told the station the men said things like, “Free Palestine!,” “Die Jew!” “F– you Jew,” and “I’m gonna rape your wife.”

The family was helped by a driver who witnessed the attack and decided to intervene, Orgen said. Armed with a gun, the stranger defended the family and chased the group away.

“The guy in the car behind them saw everything go on,” Orgen told WPEC-TV. “I saw him pull a gun and get in between – I mean he was almost there as our guardian angel, just protecting us. I think once they saw him they just took off.”

That’s not surprising. Law-abiding gun owners carry firearms in order to defend themselves and others. It’s fortunate for the Orgen family that someone who was armed happened to be nearby and willing to step in when the family was threatened.

The question then becomes, why wasn’t Eric Orgen or his wife armed? These attacks are becoming more frequent and more violent. In an age of defunded police departments, dialing 911 and waiting for help simply isn’t an effective option. Far too much damage can be inflicted before police arrive, even in the best of times.

Messages like these from politicians and law enforcement are becoming necessary . . .

And not every locality still has the resources of Beverly Hills.

With depleted resources, response times across the country have increased. Responsible individuals need to have the ability to defend themselves and their families. And if you’re a member of an increasingly targeted group, such as America’s Jews, it’s critical that you don’t rely solely on local police for help should you be harassed or assaulted.

We’ve seen attacks on synagogues in the past, both in Pittsburgh and San Diego. The San Diego shooting was likely prevented from being much worse than it was because of an armed man in the congregation. All synagogues would be well-advised to learn the lessons these two incidents made clear and have armed individuals on hand during services to protect worshippers.

Millions of Americans have purchased guns in the last 15 months, Jews and gentiles alike. Given the current environment, it’s time for more Jews join their fellow Americans who have decided to exercise their right to keep and bear arms. They need to have the means to mount an effective armed defense as anti-semitic attacks such as those above spread. The lives they save may be their own.

  1. Palis don’t appear to be attacking Jews in states where concealed carry is permitted.

Any politician who wants your guns, wants you dead.

  2. When it comes to self-defense, the Orgen family is just like the majority of NYC dwellers….anti-gun; determined that only government agents should be armed, and all others disarmed. Relying on “the law” to protect them.

    • I will never understand why Jews are primarily liberal and antigun. Just blows my mind.

  3. But, but, but, that “good guy with a gun” is a white supremacist myth! Right? Right?

    • ‘ But, but, but, that “good guy with a gun” is a white supremacist myth! Right? Right?’!!!,

Are you some kind of a liberal weirdo? Maybe just a paid idiot troll from the commie dems…
In any case, I hope you give your mommy some of your troll paychecks for the use of her basement facilities.

      _______________

In other news, why are so many of the top Jewish congressional people democrats?

Why do the vast majority of Jewish people vote for liberal retards?
Why are so many of them so stridently anti-gun?
Based on their history, you would think that they would be great supporters of the 2nd Amendment.

I am unable to feel empathy or people that actively pursue policies that are dangerous to themselves and their families? Don’t they care?
Why do they not see the need for self-preservation?

This is totally amazing to me.

Why are the people in the state of Israel so different from American Jews in temperament?
At least there, they do what is needed to insure their survival. They have the necessary cojones required.

This to me is totally incomprehensible….

      • It’s a question that has been asked many times. I’ve heard a number of explanations for the idiotic politics of the majority of American Jewry…but it still doesn’t make sense to me.

If I were Jewish I would always carry…but then again, I’m NOT Jewish and I still do 🙂

I suppose it could come down to the “a conservative is a liberal that got mugged” idea. Israeli Jews have no illusions about someone else protecting them, they swim in shark infested waters everyday.

        • Are the Palestinians still upset they didn’t sign the 1948 partition treaty? It would have given them a far fairer deal they would have had since.

And there’s no black and white over there. It is grey and grey with both sides. But I don’t hold people of the Jewish faith in our countries responsible for what is happening in another country.

      • In regards to the difference. American Jews bear little likeness to Jews who live in Israel. Either in Ideology or Religious Doctrine. American Jews have never faced the day to day fear of attack from all sides as the Jews in Israel have experienced. For the most part they have lived a safe life with little cares beyond the daily grind of life. Like most all Democrats they have been Democrat for generations with little thought as to why. It’s just the way the family has always voted. Now they face the reality of truly being a Jew in a world of hate with a large portion of the political party whom they always supported looking for their blood. While the other part remains quiet to the whole affair. They see what the Jews in Israel have always known. Once you no longer have a value to those who you supported. They no longer care. They never believed it was or could get this bad. Just as their ancestors did with the Nazi’s. They believed as long as they remained in the background no one would pay them any mind. After all they were harmless good little Jews who willingly turned the other cheek. As they are now learning failure to learn from the past affords the past the opportunity to repeat itself. Which the Jews in Israel understood and learned from long ago. Hence their take no bullshit, stomp your ass attitude to anyone who threatens their way of life. As much as it hurts. This may well be the learning experience the Jews of America need. Reality is a Bitch of a Teacher sometimes. If they are smart enough to learn from it they may well understand it’s their choice and making the wrong one can be fatal. Keep Your Powder Dry.

        • The idea that Israeli citizens are more enlightened about threats to life are a bit of romantic fantasy on the part of American gun owners/activists. Here are some links that show how draconian are the Israeli gun control laws regarding every-day citizens:

        • And a president who will celebrate the 20 year celebration of the vehemently anti-Semitic Durban accord, signed a few days before Sep11.

Makes you wonder why would someone who’s Jewish vote Democrat when they keep siding with their enemies.

        • Your verbiage above is so disjointed that I’m having trouble following it, although I’d be delighted to read a comprehensive account of your post which makes grammatical sense?

Any interest in re-posting something we, well educated, could more easily follow?

          Best,

          David

        • Many of the Zionist religious leaders in Nazi Europe thought they could work with the Nazis for their own purposes. The Haavara Agreement and other side deals between the Zionist and the Nazi’s was not meant to save Jews. Instead it was meant to form a Jewish state in occupied Palestine. My Grandfather was anti Zionist. How could you support that which allowed your families destruction so they could take over an occupied territory just because in antiquity it had been the homeland of Jews?

Same thing happening here and other countries. Our religious leaders are willing to overlook anything as long as the dollars and armament keeps flowing to the promised land. They are quite willing to tolerate the folks who think since the Jews occupy Jerusalem again the end times are near. Gotta keep those Jews strong so the four horsemen can ride.

Sorry, I’m an American, a veteran as are many of my family and armed. I’ve voted for some Democrats in the past Walkin Lawton for instance. I was a proud Blue dog and still am willing to vote for some Democrats. Not many for sure but there are a few who do not have the lib syndrome.

Given a choice between a decent centralist leaning Democrat and someone like hooker lovin Gaetz I’d vote blue in a heartbeat.

      • “Why are the people in the state of Israel so different from American Jews in temperament?“

The citizens of Israel enjoy socialized medicine and abortion on demand.

Republicans in Congress send billions of taxpayer’s money to the Israeli government every year, supporting socialized medicine and abortions on demand.

        https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium.MAGAZINE-shhh-don-t-tell-evangelical-supporters-of-israel-about-the-country-s-abortion-laws-1.7274968

  4. Yes, Jews do need to be able to protect themselves. Singling out Jews here is playing into the Left’s “divide and conquer” plans. ALL AMERICANS need to be able to protect themselves. All people can be under attack at some point, it doesn’t matter if they are black, Asian, Semitic(of any faith), Native American, white.
Singling out one faith of one ethnic group just downplays the others. All should be able to be able to use a firearm(or any other weapon) for defensive purposes. Use it in offensive ways and get your rights limited.

    • Well someone should tell the Jews about the Left’s “divide and conquer” plans.

Apparently, Jews vote for the leftist candidate and their “divide and conquer” plans between 7 to 8 times out of 10. Plus that support for the left is increasing.

  5. It has always been better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6, regardless of ones faith or ethnicity.

    • The reason why I CC here in SoCal, laminated permission card or not.

This should hopefully clear up doubts posed in a large discussion yesterday regarding the “I Will Not Comply” crowd and those who say I (and others) don’t actually do anything.

In support of Crimson’s statement above, the first rule of defense is to survive. Only the living get any chance to argue their case later in court.

  6. I wish I had the answer to the question why Jewish People are so passive and make themselves easy victims. I lived in Los Angeles for a long time and we had large, established Jewish communities in many areas of the city as well as among the general population. These people are everything we see in “Conservative” America, hard working, independent, family oriented, people of faith, who just want to be left alone to live their lives as they see fit.

The reality is that, except for a few, the vast majority are liberals/socialists and although they live a “Conservative” lifestyle themselves, they don’t hold conservative political views and many are pacifists and hence easy victims. I don’t get it and I don’t think its going to change.

A small few, not many at all; during the LA Riots, just like the Koreans, a 99% Jewish neighborhood in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, set up road blocks to keep rioters and looters out of their area and were armed. Of course the media doesn’t report this at all, but it happened. The vast majority of residents were unarmed and content to let others bear the burden for their defense and did nothing to arm themselves afterwards.

I don’t know if its social, religious or cultural, but the trust God and not take direct responsibility for your our safety, is maddening to me, especially with the long history of murder, genocide and persecution inflicted upon people of the Jewish faith.

You would think that they would learn the lessons of the Fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto or the of the Israeli people, past and present fighting for their nation, etc. There are Lions among the sheep, but sadly, not very many.

Despite the musings of people like Ben Shapiro, the majority of American Jews will never become politically conservative and they will be a reliable voting block for the left (70%). The vast majority will never elect to take direct responsibility for their personal safety, nor will they become a large block of gun owners, who support the 2nd Amendment. I wish I was wrong, but I don’t think that I am.

May their God Bless them and Keep them, as they will choose to rely upon Faith and Good Fortune to protect themselves.

    • The issue of Jewish personal pacifism and reliance on the State for protection is an interesting subject with many volumes of literature trying to understand it. In my opinion, it comes down to genetic programming over the last two millennia, where the group survival, based on birthrate, is more important than individual survival. The same strategy that rabbits use. That strategy is part of the Jewish in-born socialism (not all, of course; I am Jewish and certainly not a socialist, but I am in the minority). In many places, it is hard to differentiate who is who and we would not want an innocent person to fall victim to these attacks, but in the case of NY or LA, in 2021, I think that it is a safe assumption that there are no innocent (not socialist) Jews in either city. I am not religious, but Sodom and Gomorrah do seem to be an example here and I would not be shedding any tears for the people that have willingly caused their own demise.

      • Evolutionary Psychology points to this. It’s interesting to contrast the evolutionary psychology of Jewish tribalism with the evolutionary psychology of Scots and Scots-Irish tribalism. Both groups are profoundly tribal but also profoundly different when it comes to the idea of active personal defense.

      • Especially when “the state” was openly opposed to their existence.

“The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” was a forgery, based heavily on Machiavelli’s “The Prince”, by the Tsarist Okhrana (secret police) to justify pogroms against the Jews.

    • “I don’t know if its social, religious or cultural, but the trust God and not take direct responsibility for your our safety, is maddening to me, especially with the long history of murder, genocide and persecution inflicted upon people of the Jewish faith.”

In my view, and particularly in business transactions, the Jews are dodgey and intent being bereft of fairness such that they benefit unjustifiably from a business transaction. They seem to view gentiles as victims rather than customers.

I never do business with Jews, period. Their interests appear to be opposed to mine.

      • Your manual on the subject must be the “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”.

      • Well, since it has become popular to support terrorist groups like BLM, Antifa, the Democratic Party of Amerika, and other filth, the Palestinians, and especially Hamas and Hizbollah, also want to join the victim class. That’s why they’ve been firing rockets – you know, to get noticed. It’s a form of protest, or something like that…

        • I would highly recommend staying away from Wikipedia and Google searches if you want to know facts about this issue. The Google searches bring up only their approved version (at least in the first 100 hits), with bias and false statements throughout. The sheer quantity of the false statements make one believe them. That’s how propaganda works.

      • A brave people, using any means necessary, to protect their homeland from a foreign invader?

Help me to understand we What justified the initial Jewish attacks on Palestine and the formation of the ‘state of Israel’, along with continuing violent annexation of territory and destruction of Palestinian homes.

        • I’m with Miner49er on this.

The Jews are the problem, not the response to the Jews depredation.

  7. Why do the chosen get special rights? I keep getting blamed for things white people did 500 years ago. (Apparently because some wealthy people of English descent owned slave, me- being the grandson of Italian sharecroppers- needs to suffer…)

What “the chosen” is doing to the Palestinians is sickening. I’m a C h r i s t i a n, and it sickens me to see the war crimes “the chosen state” is committing. People attacked Trump for saying mean things about the Press. Well, I s r a e l just blows up AP offices. Hmmmmmmm… big think?

And frankly, with all the false flags attacks J 3 ws keep perpetrating, I don’t believe this Orgen fellow. In one of the videos, the guy with the Israeli flag throws the first punch. Remember when a Jewish man who is an I s r a e l i – A m e r i c a n d u a l c i t i z e n was arrested in Israel in connection with a series of bomb threats made against Jewish community centers and Jewish schools? I remember. United M 0 ving Systems? I remember. The Stingray/espionage scandal? I remember. USS L ib****? (Funny how an incident in which US Navy sailors died automatically prompts “moderation” on this website.) I remember. Remember when the I s r@ e l government gave Jerry Falwell a private jet as a bribe to preach heresy? I remember. CUFI / 700 club / Kenneth Copeland / John Hagee soliciting donations saying “The Nations the bless Isr@3l will receive blessings” heresy? Well- all you got was a they/them grandson..

      • No need to dance around it. I’m a Christian myself and have said so multiple times here without any blocking from the site.

      • Any comments from pronouns are about as valid as my screenname. Figure you your gender so you don’t need a reminder and try again.

        • did you even read the post? he’s making fun of pronouns.

He’s saying Christians supported the state of Israel, only to be repaid with extreme degeneracy.

    • You know he/him, I was never much impressed by anti-Jewish blather and cant. I’m still not.

    • You remember a lot of things. You need to learn some new things too. Since YOU brought it up, yes Jews are God’s chosen people. You are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession” (Deuteronomy 7:6).
Why? You’d have to take that up with Him, but the Scriptures are super clear about it. That doesn’t exactly translate to the modern state of Israel, but if you are a Christian as you claim the multitude Scriptures clearly declaring this should end your confusion about alleged “heresy”.
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curse thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3

      • “yes Jews are God’s chosen people“

As far as I have experienced, no one has presented convincing evidence of the presence of any particular deity so you’ve got that working against you.

And once you prove the existence of your particular deity, you have yet to prove that he/she/it has issued any particular edicts with reference to the Jewish peoples.

Your statement is an extraordinary claim, it will require extraordinary evidence before any but the simple will believe the fantasy.

  8. If you plan on building or updating an AR-15 pistol or similar large format pistol, now is a good time to get a pistol brace at Midwest USA, as they are apparently dumping all of its pistol brace inventory at massive discounts, some 33% off. However, all sales of pistol braces at Midwest USA are now final:
“Due to safety considerations and legal/regulatory reasons, Pistol Braces may not be returned. Defective items must be returned to the manufacturer.”

    • Just went there. They are selling out rapidly. Two of the ones I tried to buy were gone before I could add them to the cart.

    • Get some actual rifle stocks, too. If Biden/ATF suddenly declare our pistols contraband by diktat and subject to NFA, then there’s no reason anymore for a brace, and we may as well slap real stocks on them. Then…do not register. For all we know, legal challenges to this may very well make their way high enough on the Judicial food chain that the ban (or reclassification) will be slapped down.

I have a feeling the upcoming SCOTUS hearing will have good results which will be used to support related challenges to a plethora of gun control restrictions.

A plethora? Yes, a plethora, amigo.

  9. I wonder how many of those Jews eating dinner supported the BLM riots?

    Probably all of them…

  10. I read a book a couple of years ago called “Tough Jews” by Rich Cohen. It covered famous Jewish gangsters of the 30s through 60s.

Those guys were criminal svmbags, and some were just plain nuts, but at least they had b@lls.

      • Nah, the Feds showed up. And that was the end of the Jewish gangsters.

Lepke Buchalter, one of the leaders of Murder Incorporated, was the only mob boss ever executed for his crimes.

Dutch Schultz and Bugsy Siegel were bumped off. Kid Twist Reles died while squealing in custody by falling or being pushed out a high window. He was thereafter known as “the canary who could sing but couldn’t fly.” Mendy Weiss, a feared hitman against whom Reles was going to testify, was executed. Mickey Cohen went to Federal prison twice for tax evasion and then died of cancer. Meyer Lansky never did hard time and died of cancer at the age of 80. He also sent one of his sons to West Point.

This was a strange crew of animals. The only one of them that you might not object to living on your block was Lansky, who was actually patriotic and out of the muscle side of things for many decades before his death.

        • Jewish gangsters were used by the FBI during World War II to conduct extrajudicial executions of German Americans citizens. Without a trial. They where believed to be spying for Nazi Germany.

        • Chris T, I think you are conflating two separate operations. Operation Underworld involved the Italian and Jewish gangs protecting American ports after the suspicious fire on the SS Normandie. While the Normandie firs might not have been Nazi sabotage, no other major ort incidents happened after Operation Underworld was put in play.

The other consisted of Operation Greenup carried out by Jewish refugees who were sent to the Tyrol by the OSS to gather intel and kill Nazis. Inglourious Basterds was loosely based on Greenup.

  11. Every person should be exercising their 2A rights as we are seeing more and more everyday that we must rely on ourselves for self survival. The cities are becoming filled with people who have no thoughts about any persons rights, just about themselves. They see that local politicians grant amnesty to the criminals and prosecute the law abiding.

There will be a moment this summer which ignites this powder keg. Too many people are being attacked due to their country of origin or their religion. The dems have used labels for years to identify people in classes for exactly this outcome. Pit the people against each other and with chaos you can gain even more power over them. Look how it has worked with Covid and masks.

For those who do carry, you know the rules. Don’t be foolish and lose all you have due to some idiot who spits on you. There are other methods to deal with that.

  12. Sometimes I feel like in U.S. society I’m somehow compelled to protect Jews…perhaps due to long past injustices against them (Holocaust). And, sometimes I feel as if were I to decline to do so, and I don’t mean that I’d ever harm them, I too would be discriminated against, even widely.

When one sect controls finance and the media to the extent that American Jews do currently there’s room for them to engage in coercive behavior.

    Me? I’m not buying it.

  13. Your comment about Jewish bankers was first published in: “The Merchant of Venice” which is a 16th-century play written by William Shakespeare in which a merchant in Venice named Antonio defaults on a large loan provided by a Jewish moneylender, Shylock. It is believed to have been written between 1596 and 1599. It was called “anti-semitism’ then. It still is.

  14. Say what you want about the Jewish,
They got probably the best secret service in the world. Can’t think of the name at the moment, but you don’t want them coming after you.
They ALWAYS get their target with hardly no mistakes. Even their women fighters are deadly.
& it seems to me that the Palestinians are the people that always start trouble. & since the squad in congress supports Palestine, you gotta know their the troublemakers.

    • I support the state of Israel. My GOD is Jewish. HE will rule in Jerusalem for eternity. That being stated I never had a particular opinion of Jewish folks until I lived & worked in Chicago. Even had a jewish girlfriend. Oy vey I finally “got” why they’re hated. I’m neither here nor there if they carry a gat. Have your chit together. The same goes for those poor chinese getting their azzes kicked. If you vote against my rights you’re completely on your own…

    • “Say what you want about the Jewish”

Ugh, nothing has ever stopped my saying what I want about the Jews. But thank you for clearing it up for me that I can.

If you’re an apologist for the ravenous Jews, you probably won’t want to hear what I think of them…all of them.

      • Au contraire…we support the 1A as much as the 2A. Differences of opinion are the spice of talk soup. The only thing that often lacks is the civility in the discourse.

        • See the comment below (or perhaps in this short thread as I don’t know how comments are published here) to see how Jew apologists react to what may be non-Jew opinions of them. Knuckle-dragger indeed.

I’ve come to believe that Jews feel they can’t be criticized and that they can’t debate with the civility you prefer. In my experience with Jews, that habit has become part of their religious “habit”.

It’s disgusting. And, comments like that only cement my negative opinion of them.

For the gentleman who posted that, thank you for reaffirming my negative opinions of your “race”.

      • @David Walters, rest assured that we are always keenly interested in the thought process of knuckle-draggers such as yourself. As the old saying goes, I may disagree with what you say, but I defend your right to say it even if you take stupidity to new depths.

  15. Slingshots.
Speaking of slingshots, on tv I seen a Palestinian with a slingshot slinging shots at Isreali police. Man the strings on that thing had to be three feet long. You know a rock coming out of that thing would kill a giant. I’ve tried that kinda slingshot but never could get the hang of it, it was homemade but I dont think that would make a difference?

    • The slingshot is an effective weapon. In fact it is a Lethal, deadly weapon. And I believe the slingshot is outlawed in the state of New Jersey? Trained users of slingshots have left many American soldiers and others permanently blinded. In places like Somalia Africa.

And the slingbow is also a very effective weapon. And harvesting tool.

    • possum,

Actually it is simply a sling, not a slingshot.

And yes, you can make your own out of cordage and a strong flexible pocket to hold your projectile (typically a rock). I recommend 550 paracord as your cordage and a medium thickness leather pocket for your projectiles.

I recommend a leather pocket because there is a LOT of force in that pocket when you swing the sling hard. I picture that force being strong enough to tear almost any fabric after a few shots, whereas a medium thickness leather would probably not tear.

I played with one when I was about 10 years old. I would say it only took me about two weeks of practice to get skilled enough where I could hit a stationary man-sized torso at 25 feet with fairly decent regularity.

      • I know of a kid who was good enough with a sling to whack a big guy right in the forehead a rock. Cool story…

  16. The Jews could build a holocaust museum in all 50 states. And the Jews themselves still have not learned from the Holocaust.
You can’t help anyone when they refuse to help themselves. Anyone can walk into a gun store and make a purchase. And anyone can take a training class and learn how to use that gun.
But they have to be willing to do it for themselves.

    “JPFO WHITE PAPER”
    “Why Jews Hate Guns”
    http://jpfo.org/articles-assd02/why-jews-hate-guns.htm

    • Chris:
Thanks for sharing this link. I just now read the white paper and think it makes a lot of sense. And it explains facets of the anti-gun mentality that have always been a mystery to me. I think that changing that mentality will be an uphill battle and may well be impossible, given the human (not just Jewish) condition. Nevertheless, I hope I’m wrong about that.

  17. Well Jews certainly should take full advantage of their 2A rights, but a lot of them live in deep blue areas and a lot of those cities try their best to keep everyone disarmed.

  18. It’s Time for More Americans To Use Their Second Amendment Rights to Defend Themselves

    FIFY

  19. Location, location, location. What a difference the state you live in actually makes.

Here in Kentucky protesters have learned that you do not disturb people as they are enjoying their meal. Because the diners can be armed with as little as a North American Arms 5 shot mini revolver. And at bad breath distances, the defender can easily fire a bullet through the eyes and into the brains of a Black Lives Matter or pro-Palestinian protester.

An armed Society really does make a more polite Society. And that is something that many people who do not want. They do not want a polite Society.

    • Yours is an interesting observation about the impact of which state in which you might live (have grown up in?) and philosophical orientations / opinions…perhaps about any topic.

For me, born and raised and living in Texas.

      • Was it Texas where antifa roadblock guy got shot in the head when brandishing an ak?

        • I apologize that I’m unaware of the incident you cite. May I please request that you provide a reference and, with that, I’ll be happy to reply.

Texans, in general, are pretty much law and order oriented. But we’re not oriented in any fashion to the abuse of power. Perhaps, that’s because Texans fought for our independence from Mexico…without any American Federal assistance, and, only then and after a long while decided to join the Union…a good decision in my opinion.

So, I sincerely would appreciate a reference.

        • Chris,

Thank you for the reference. I’d not heard of that incident. And, I’m still looking into the circumstances surrounding that regrettable shooting.

My Dad’s a lawyer (some don’t think that’s a compliment). So, what I learn I’d like to share with him and ask his opinion. It may well be that the case is still being adjudicated.

Again, I’ve not looked sufficiently deeply into this case to have an opinion. So, when I do, I’ll get back to you.

Thank you for being a gentleman and a resource.

          Best,

          David

    • You are assuming that the BLM and pro-Palestinian protester have brains. Bad assumption.

  20. “… why wasn’t Eric Orgen or his wife armed?”

For the vast majority of the population, it never really occurs to them to arm themselves because no human or animal has ever seriously attacked them or someone in their social circle.

Look at it this way. Many children get an allowance as early as 3rd grade. That allowance could easily add up to something like $100 a year. Why don’t those 3rd grade children invest that money in the stock market? After all, just a couple good stock purchases at the age of 8 or 9 could easily turn into $10,000 or more by the time they reach 50 years old. The simple answer is that investing money in the stock market is simply too foreign an idea for someone in 3rd grade to consider. Likewise, arming up to protect yourself and/or your family is too foreign an idea for many people to consider.

    • They’d also have to invest through their parents or through a custodial account which a lot of people don’t want to deal with.

      • While that is certainly true, that was not my point. Even if laws allowed children to invest directly themselves, they still would not invest because the idea is too foreign.

        • Maybe. I dunno. The first few grand I ever made at a legit “ones with a paycheck you can touch” job went into the markets.

I was gonna buy a car. Then I decided to invest, did it through my dad and his broker. It was a far better decision. It also taught me the power of a government thumb on the scale. The tax fallout was a nightmare of audits for a few years but… still worth it.

      • That reminds me…Fidelity announced earlier this week that it’s about to launch a Robinhood-type mobile trading platform aimed for teenagers 12 to 17 years old. Accounts will be guaranteed by their parents or legal guardians. There will be few trading restrictions due to the guarantors.

        What could go wrong? [/sarc]

        • If kids lose a couple hundred bucks but learn how markets work I don’t see it as a bad thing.

Maybe they’ll grow up with a better understanding of currency vs. money or what a ETF is, how dividends work. Hell, by 18 they might have a strong dislike for the Fed and the IRS.

Parents could definitely use it as a teaching tool where the kid has real skin in the game but not enough to actually get seriously hurt.

The downside is how RH kinda makes everything very “gamey”. OTOH, maybe a game that has real risk is a good idea. I mean, rollin’ dice on the street is all fun and games until you learn a hard lesson too.

  21. me actual rifle stocks, too. If Biden/ATF suddenly declare our pistols contraband by diktat and subject to NFA, then there’s no reason anymore for a brace, and we may as well slap real stocks on them. Then…do not register. For all we know, legal challenges to this may very well make their way high enough on the Judicial food chain that the ban (or reclassification) will be slapped down

  22. Perhaps there is truth in your advice, but still it seems to me that you are a little paranoid, why carry weapons with you everywhere, it seems to you that you can always be attacked? It looks like a mental disorder … In any case, I advise you to look on Instagram for videos in which experienced psychologists tell you how to cope with attacks of paranoia. I found there quite a few videos on this topic and noticed that in most cases they were published by accounts to which almost 31 thousand subscribers were subscribed! I am sure this is because the owners of these accounts used the services https://viplikes.net/ to quickly increase the number of subscribers.

    • Weapons go with you wherever you happen to be no matter what you do.

Or did you think handcuffs, shackles and hobbles were just costume jewelry that they let you borrow?

    • William Lindsey,

Why wear seat belts everywhere you drive–it seems to you that you can always crash your car? Why keep a fire extinguisher in your home all the time–it seems to you that your home can always catch on fire? Does that make you paranoid about car crashes or house fires? Should you seek intensive therapy for your paranoia from experienced psychologists?

It’s called Risk Management pinhead. Each person determines how much risk there is of a bad event happening and what measures, if any, he/she wants to implement to mitigate that risk. Nothing more and nothing less.

I personally did nothing to manage the risk of violent attacks until I was the victim of a SECOND ATTACK. Then I decided that the best way to mitigate the risk of future attacks was to arm myself. Lo-and-behold, a few short years after deciding to arm myself, three additional attacks (two human and one animal) occurred–and promptly ended when I produced a firearm and my body language made it crystal clear that my attacker was going to lose the attack.

      • He comes on a gun blog(the biggest) and asked why carry? Too dumb for paid troll status..😏

  23. Yeah right, the Jews overwhelmingly vote
Democrat even when their own party hates them. Remember a couple years ago when the mayor of NYC publicly threatened to send the NYPD to round up the Jews who were worshipping in defiance of the COVID edicts? If a conservative politician had done that we never would have heard the end of it, but apparently the Jews are fine with being treated like dirt when it’s their own party doing it. So I say fvck em, they can reap what they sow

  24. These guys are more interested in Israel than what is in the U.S. Constitution. Most are Americans second, a distant second.

  25. It amazes me that almost all Jews who celebrate Purim have forgotten what they are celebrating. Purim is a celebration of Jews surviving an attempted genocide. The Jews survived the attempted genocide only because Queen Esther “persuaded” (meaning that Esther was a sexually pleasing) King Xeres to grant the Jews the right to arm themselves and gather together to defend themselves. The Jews killed tens of thousands of their enemies.

Of course there was a contingent of Jews with King Xeres at Thermopylae getting their asses kicked by King Leonidas and the 300.

I leave you with a link to Queen Vashti’s dance.

  26. I have seen French Jews defend themselves (and their businesses) in Paris, France, where there are more radical muslims than in the US, as well as far left aggressors who happen to dislike Jews (and Americans, conservative French, Christians, etc). If they can kick ass in France without an equivalency to the 2A, I think American Jews will prevail; this also applies to Asian Americans. The irony in the direction America is heading, is that in theory radical muslims and far left people share very little in common. Most muslims are against abortion and LGBTQ rights. I am going to use France as an example once again, Charlie Hebdo has always been a leftist magazine, yet the overwhelming majority of French muslims hate them for some of the famous drawings mocking the muslim prophet. Their headquarters were torched a few years before two terrorists attacked the place and killed several journalists and police officers.

  27. @Southern Cross

“Makes you wonder why would someone who’s Jewish vote Democrat when they keep siding with their enemies.”

Because everyone votes for the lesser of two evils.

And maybe, in time, things will change for the better, and maybe I won’t be dragged off to the gulag.

  28. The corks about ready to pop.
I had to wished before I die,
    1. To see the sawmill go bankrupt, I did.
    2. To see the end of the world, I might.

  29. It’s ironic that most Jews vote for DemocRats and live in DemocRat areas where those same DemocRats don’t allow citizens (Jewish or not) to carry concealed firearms to defend themselves.

But keep voting for hose DemocRats, Jews…

  30. Here is a clue as to why many American Jews vote Democratic, Jewish space lasers for $200!

“Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, during an interview on a conservative podcast this week, compared House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to continue to require members of the House to wear masks on the chamber floor to steps the Nazis took to control the Jewish population during the Holocaust.

Greene, in a conversation with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody Real America’s Voice TV show “The Water Cooler,” attacked Pelosi and accused her of being a hypocrite for asking GOP members to prove they have all been vaccinated before allowing members to be in the House chamber without a mask.

“You know, we can look back at a time in history where people were told to wear a gold star, and they were definitely treated like second class citizens, so much so that they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany,” Greene said. “And this is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about.”

  31. Manchester City was once again above Liverpool in the final EPL standings. Instead of the expected and very real four titles, Jurgen Klopp’s side had to make do with two.
