Still waiting for the Micro Tavor…
That’s what she said.
Aside from FN and Daniel Defense who else is producing chf barrels for the US market?
Ruger and Rim Country Manufacturing I believe.
So when are they going to offer a .300BLK Tavor or a .300BLK barrel?
This!
It’s practically here now.

Is the new facility located in a gun friendly stafe? Otherwise, I won’t buy.
Assuming they’re not moving anything out of PA, we’re pretty gun-friendly here.
Until our douche bag governor gets tired of destroying the gas, oil, and coal industries and moves on to guns. He has shown repeatedly that he is in perfect step with the president.
Great, but wouldn’t it be better to actually get the Galil ace right?
Is that a third hole I see on that Galil? Ooops. I want one of the new Galils, but I think I’ll settle for the Galil kit I have sitting here and build it instead. It will take AR mags and be 5.56. Should be fun!
Can any of the gunsmiths here clue me as to how, after beating the crap out of the barrel with the mandrel inside, how the hell do they get the mandrel back out?
Heat the barrel red and hope it drops out?
My understanding is that you just rotate the mandrel until it leaves the barrel, like unscrewing a bolt. The mandrel is an interference fit in the finished barrel so you don’t need a lot of force.
My go to reference is here http://firearmshistory.blogspot.com/2010/05/rifling-manufacturing-hammer-forged.html?m=0
