Did he hone his run-and-gun skills while filming The Matrix? Dunno, not that it really matters. As I’ve heard someone say, culture eats strategy for lunch. Seeing celebrities safely (not to mention deftly) handling firearms removes the stigma so much of the media and entertainment industry work so hard to attach to anything gunny. So it’s good to see Keanu chose the red pill of reality rather than the blue pill so many of his colleagues have swallowed. We’d love to see him become an advocate for gun rights, too. Because there’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

    • I’m perfectly fine with that. I don’t know or care about his political opinions, and I like it that way. More celebrities should follow his example and KEEP THEIR DAMN MOUTHS SHUT.

          • I’ll grant you those and a few more, but they’re in the minority. Hypocrite actors/directors/producers who make a living with gunplay in film like Liam Neeson, Sean Penn, etc. are the worst. And people lap up every word these people say. So many so eager to be sheep.

      • I enjoy it when people speak their minds. You don’t think these guys have their pet projects and donations? If I’m into guns, and can donate a thousand dollars a year or so to pro-gun causes, how much could a celeb put forth? I do a lot of voting with my dollars, and celebrities can do a whole lot more. I’d be reasonably happy to watch a mediocre movie from a pro-gun actor and am perfectly happy to boycott mediocre movies from anti-gun actors.

        Further, I enjoy it when companies have a pro-gun and pro-freedom bias. I go out of my way to patronize them and avoid anti-gun companies when feasible.

        • Luckily John Wick was a freaking awesome movie, one of the best revenge movies ever and with some of thr best gun work ever.

          Keanu is shredding harder than 99.9% of shooters, dude is feeling it

    ANY of you who have not seen the first one NEEDS to see it. Awesome good time. Like the first Taken but better imo.

    • That nightclub action sequence has got to be one of the best, most well choreographed and scored action sequences I have her seen. And I’ve seen a LOT of movies.

      • That’s a really well shot sequence. Overall the shooting sequences were realistic with appropriate magazine changes. Enjoyable flick through and through.

      • Come now, better than the Heat bank shootout or even the Pacino v De Niro duel at the end? Or even the scene in The Longest Day where they storm Omaha beach is more memorable to me and IMO shot much better.

        John Wick was meh to me as far as movies go, good action small substance. I’d watch the second. Either way, that’s some good shooting Keanu.

        • I did like this movie and I do like Keano’s commitment. He practices what he preaches (acts). But check out the church scene in Kingsman. Best fight scene ever…

  10. Go Keanu! Yep John Wick II. My favorite scene in #1 was the Kel-tec KSG thing. He’s looking pretty good here(and he’s over 50). Isn’t he Canadian???

  14. Now I’d like to see a 3-Gun match between him, Angelina Jolie, and Brad Pitt. Maybe with Vince Vaughn as a dark-horse, and Chuck Norris to make things difficult.

  19. “We’d love to see him become an advocate for gun rights, too.” Dude considering how many views this Youtube clip is going to get and that he’s putting it out there despite the fact it has been alleged that some very well known assholes dressed up like his character in the matrix before firing up Columbine, I’d say its a pretty fucking strong statement on a lot of levels, not the least of which is the contrast between the reality of training for Jon Wick 2 vs. the fantasy we all see on screen. The fact he’s up there getting it done and not telling other people how they should feel about it one way or the other, letting his actions speak for him, he’s not just playing at this shit and despite how fantastical his movies are, obviously he takes this stuff seriously.
