Robert often accuses gun control advocates of “dancing in the blood of victims.” When a firearms-related tragedy occurs, they use the incident in order to further their civilian disarmament agenda. Normally, I consider the blood dancing charge hyperbole. But a newly leaked email from Hillary Clinton’s campaign reveals her staffers literally rejoicing that a black teenager was shot and killed because they could use his death to advance the cause of gun control.

From bizpacreview.com:

The email began as a request for an essay by Clinton from Marie Claire who was partnering with Harvard University on a study about women and guns but it quickly devolved into brainstorming ideas on how to push the campaign’s anti-gun and racial narratives.

The team began discussing an article published in “The Guardian” where the mother of Jordan Davis, a black teenager murdered by a white man for playing music loud, called the killing a “legal lynching” despite the fact that the murderer, Michael David Dunn, was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

De’Ara Balenger, the director of engagement for “Hillary for America” could hardly contain her excitement.

“This is great,” she wrote. “The only flag here is that Jordan Davis was killed by a white man, so arguably – this crime was racially motivated, which takes this outside the discussion of gun violence.

By shooting into a car full of teenagers, Michael Dunn probably didn’t realize at the time that besides committing first degree murder, he was also doing the Clinton campaign a political favor. The only downside: the inconvenient fact that Dunn happens to be white which had the unfortunate side effect of taking some of the attention away from the anti-gun angle of the crime. After all, it’s always best to keep your narrative clean an easy to exploit for easy public consumption.

Oh well, sometimes you just have to persevere and make the best of an imperfect situation.

  1. Absolutely vile.

I’d love it if a gun site like TTAG or Ammoland (or even big orgs like GOA/SAF/NRA/etc.) compiled all these emails relating to the gun control agenda into one big .pdf or something. It would be an invaluable resource against any gun grabber who accuses us of being “paranoid” or “conspiracy nuts” when we talk about how these people use these tragedies to further their agenda.

        • I…third-second….that reques…..

yeah, sorry. We need an app called Left WingNuts, that cross-references lefty lies, anti-gun hyperbole, and good old fashioned gun grabbing nonsense, with WikiLeaks, and all the major media outlets to allow an easy compare and contrast of their, “public opinions and private beliefs”.

  2. Even though we all know the Democrats & HRC’s campaign are absolutely evil, this will not make the mainstream news so will not even register with the public.

If Trumps so much as farts on camera 10 years ago though, it’ll be plastered all over the front pages for weeks on end.

Somethings got to change before this great country is totally ruined.

    • The media blackout on Clinton’s email scandal will continue uninterrupted because she represents their ideology and world view. Gone are the days when the media acted like journalists in pursuit of the truth. BTW – the email demonstrates again just how evil Clinton and her inner circle are.

      • Extremely sad, but true…… The media used to be a respected profession (think Watergate etc) but are now nothing more than propagandists. They have followed the example set by the media in countries such as the Soviet Union and China, absolutely unbelievable!

I would have thought there is a place for a completely independent, unbiased news source. Don’t try to slant things, just report the truth and let the people make up their minds. If only I had plenty of cash, I would start one up in a heartbeat!!

        • The media have never been a “profession.”

A profession is defined by three things:

          1. There is licensing. If you do not meet the criteria to gain the license, you are not a member of that profession. Part of the licensing criteria might be a necessity of a particular degree, awarded by a credentialed institution.
          2. A defined and enforced code of conduct or ethics, infractions against which may be grounds for removal of license to practice the profession.
          3. A board or committee selected/elected among the members of said profession who are charged with licensing members of the profession and punishing infractions of their code(s) of conduct.

Journalism has none of these things.

Examples of actual professions: Medicine (MD, RN, etc), architect, professional engineer, CPA, lawyer, etc.

        • I wish it wasn’t so, but you’re wrong, DG. The profession’s rules are unwritten, but they are enforced. You can’t get this kind of conformity without them.

        • It used to be considered a trade. Practically a journeyman sort of a blue collar trade. That is no longer the case. The members of the mainstream media and the other “journalists” come from the same elite circles and go to the same elite universities as the ruling class. They have significantly more in common with our politicians than they do with “us.” They grew up playing polo in the same clubs and hanging out in the same societies at Princeton, Yale, Brown, etc etc…

        • It’s behind a paywall but it looks like the WSJ is admitting that a Clinton administration would be built on corruption, favors and pay to play! What are the odds that we never hear from that journalist ever again……..

    • I generally agree with your sentiment here.

Hopefully the FBI finds grounds to charge her and does so rapidly on this second go around investigation that was announced this morning.

      • The FBI had ample grounds the first time. Check out 18 USC 793 & 798. 793 a & b are the ONLY two that mention INTENT. Comey threw everyone a red herring when he kept mentioning intent. Intent has nothing to do with the rest of 793 nor any of 798.

I won’t hold my breath on them doing anything more than political theater.

        • I’m aware of the law.

I’m also aware that the FBI doesn’t generally reopen investigations like this. Whatever they found on Wiener’s server must be pretty big for them to make an announcement like this 11 days before the general election.

Even if it is just “political theater” it probably just sunk HRC’s chances of winning next month. Even the WaPo seems to think this could easily be fatal because there isn’t time to recover.

        • Hawk, that’s true, but the US Attorney’s Office is the one that has to do the charging and getting the Lynch crew to do that is another thing. The level of politicization in the DOJ now is nearly unheard of, it probably would take video of Shillary counting payoff cash from Al-Baghdadi and even then it’s doubtful.

  3. “Normally, I consider the blood dancing charge hyperbole.”

Normally, I find the blood dancing charge accurate.

  4. “Blood dancing” is a component of the reaction to a shooting when you see pols and activists use the event as a vehicle to achieve their goals, and this is frequently the case. Using the term is not hyperbole.

  5. What a nasty woman. And this country is willing to go to war with Russia to satiate her ego. Incredible.

    • Uh, the country might not be so ready.

The elites, (ie, the graduates of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, et al) are all fired up. They’re probably telling Hillary “You go girl!” and other such feminist bromides.

But the men who have to actually, y’know, do the invading? Families of said men? Probably not so keen on the idea.

      • Totally agree. We of the armed forces will do what our government requires of us…. to a point…. but we sure do not want to go, and our families don’t want us to go. We don’t want to go because we are the ones who will bleed and possibly die. We hate missing birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays with our families. We hate having them worrying if we are coming home and in what condition.

Contrary to what many believe, the last thing a soldier, sailor, airman, or marine wants is to needlessly go to war and have their buddies die around them simply because politicians sent us but would not allow us to do what we are trained to do.

        • If it’s war with Russia then the men and women of the US military won’t be dying alone. We all get to come along on that ride. Hopefully the nuclear arsenals of both sides will continue to keep conflicts limited to proxy wars. The idea of fighting a war with Russia is complete madness.

  6. Ugh. The “This” in that sentence is about the *article copy*. The very next words are not “The only flag here […]” but instead “My edits are attached.”, further indicating that it’s the article that’s being referenced.

Suggestions that anyone thinks a murder “is great” are ridiculous, and you should know better. Shame on you.

    • This is one of those times when I wish I could promote quality comments to the top. jsled is absolutely right. The “This is great” does not refer to the shooting at all. It’s a comment on the draft of the article. Hillary and her ilk are bad enough, we don’t need to take things out of context or make them up to prove the point.

  7. What about this winner?

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/10/16/wikileaks-podesta-lamented-that-muslim-not-white-man-named-as-killer-in-2015-massacre.html

Trump is right that she is looking for people she can use to push her agenda. I suspect most of them will be disposable. Hoping we don’t get 4 more years of this lying, cheating and race baiting but I have my doubts. Maybe Congress will keep her busy if they don’t get swept by the dems.

Honestly, far as I am concerned she can shove off for the nearest prison where we try to put the other criminals.

    • Agree. It’s like all the left’s rallying around the Gold Star family and trotting him out there to go after Trump. Like they gave two shits about a Gold Star family before this, now it’s all “how dare he insult a Gold Star family!”

  8. The sad part is: all the people that HRC, CF, MSM, and DNC, exploit get immediately tossed aside once their “usefulness” is over.

    • It’s not sad. The fact that socialist revolutions always end with the useful idiots pushed into mass graves is the only bright spot I can find in all of this.

  9. Oh, you’re just being cynical. Don’t you know she loves us like only a mother could and wants us all to be warm and safe and happy? In no way would any politician, especially a Clinton, ever calculate the murder of one of her babies politically.

  10. It’s great that this sort of stuff is made public, of course the general public will never know about it. What is worse is they don’t even care about it! The few times where I’ve actually opened up and talked politics with Hillary voters, you bring up this sort of thing and it runs down their back like water. They simply do not care. And the thing is, none of the drones have ever even denied any of this crap, they know she is evil. And that is scary because for all of his faults, Trump doesn’t come anywhere close to the evil that is HRC.

Leaks like this only matter to people “like us”. How many people who have not yet made up their minds is this really going to win over for us? Not saying that it shouldn’t be out there, but just like there are so many issues that need to be tackled to curb illegal gun use, there are a ton of issues out there that need to be addressed in order to get the typical, ambivalent, low-info American voter to give a shit about this sort of thing. But that would involve actual work and a hard look in the mirror; it’s way easier to just believe all of these issues have been “put to bed” as HRC says and go along with the narrative versus actually confronting the issue head on. Just like it’s easier to blame the gun.

  11. This is why Hillary must be stopped, by vote or POB. She would use the murder to further gun control but shooter was white. Then tell every white person in America is racially bias.

    • I don’t understand the problem, if they want a murder of a black by a black, pick a day of the week and check Chicago.

  12. Am I misreading the email? Far be it from me to defend HRC (*shudder*), but this seems a lot more innocuous in context of the original email chain (read bottom-up). Seems like the “this is great” comment is simply referring to the written report they sent around–basic office email without anything nefarious about it.

Am I wrong? Not trying to downplay team blue’s corruption at all, if I’m right–I just want the truth. Better to focus on the slew of other emails that show undeniably vile behavior.

    • The writers are discussing the marketing of black people being shot.

The comment about “another mother” bears that out.

… and they seem enthusiastic about it.

    • You’re right about the context. “This is great” was said about an opinion piece they were drafting, not the incident itself.

And BigDave is also right. This whole conversation in its largest context exists because Hillary and her progressive minions use dead black people as the coin of their realm.

  13. The left “rejoices” every time a white man shoots a black person. But whoever suggested no one but FOX or CBN is reporting this are wrong. I saw several Email/Wiki stories about the hildebeast on the evening news. The problem is the progtards and neo-commies don’t care. How about a 25% raise in your awful Obamacare premiums? Millions will stay on the massa’s plantation. They’ll still vote hildebeast…tool up(more!)

  14. Since we’re on the subject I’d like to make another point to the forum. Despite what the polls say, if every registered Republican (btw, I am independent) came out and voted for Trump, he would win by a landslide. Trump has clearly stated he will put SCOTUS judges that are pro Bill of Rights — that, and after the Veritas videos and WikiLeaks revelations, the choice is obvious. To the Never-Trumpers and independents, also remember: Trump is very much impeachable, Hillary isn’t.

    • Yes, if EVERY registered Republican came out and voted Trump, he would indeed win by a landslide. Of course, the problem with that is, you even have Republican PRESIDENTS (the Bushes) who won’t vote for Trump, so … don’t count on it.

The impeachability argument is the one that has almost pushed me into the hold-my-nose-and-vote-for-Trump camp. I cannot fathom giving him the keys to the White House, but the notion that he is infinitely more impeachable than HRC is absolutely true.

HRC is indeed a referendum on whether we’ll stay on Massa’s plantation. The level of corruption is breathtaking and the inaction by the Justice Department is equally breathtaking.

  15. Let me see if I understand the way bloody shirts get waived:
    – black-on-black shot; 1 victim, context not reported;
    – black-on-white shot; 1 victim, context not reported;
    – white-on-white shot; 1 victim, white people can’t be trusted with guns;
    – white-on-black shot; 1 victim, what to say about context?
Less about guns; more about racism. Still counts as a victim. Blacks face macro-violence from racist whites; reminiscent of wide-spread racism before the successful Civil Rights movement. Ida B. Wells remarked about the honorable role of the Winchester in every Negro home; oops, never mind, this is 1 victim but not a gun story. Dr MLK Jr successfully taught all minorities to eschew all forms of violence.
The antidote for all of this obfuscation is to dis-aggregate the suicide and crime data to find the underlying context. E.g., until we know how many suicides are: 2A-able owners who kill themselves with guns they bought long-ago; 2A-able recent gun-buyers; children who impulsively use family guns; etc. we won’t be able to show the potential impact of any proposed gun control (e.g., safe-storage, waiting periods, etc.) Until we know how many crimes-with-guns are committed by 2A-able vs. Prohibited-Persons we won’t know the impact of UBC on these perpetrators.

    • “Dr MLK Jr successfully taught all minorities to eschew all forms of violence.”

To make that statement true, you would need to remove the word “successfully.”

  16. That figures Hillary Clinton rejoicing on the fact that someone lost their life and that someone was a black individual. That just goes to show you she campaigns for the Hispanic and the black vote when really she’s the biggest racist in the bunch. Thanks to all the liberal Progressive media portraying her as a saint to the African-American and Hispanic communities when really she’s a racist horrible person. Just goes to show you she’s a joke.

  17. People here and elsewhere particularly in gun owning circles fear an Orwellian present and future but really it is Huxlian. Some relevant quotes to our current situation:

“What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egotism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny ‘failed to take into account man’s almost infinite appetite for distractions.’ In 1984, Orwell added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what our fear will ruin us. Huxley feared that our desire will ruin us.” -Neil Postman

“We dwell in a present-tense culture that somehow, significantly, decided to employ the telling expression ‘You’re history’ as a choice reprobation or insult, and thus elected to speak forgotten volumes about itself. By that standard, the forbidding dystopia of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four already belongs, both as a text and as a date, with Ur and Mycenae, while the hedonist nihilism of Huxley still beckons toward a painless, amusement-sodden, and stress-free consensus….For true blissed-out and vacant servitude, though, you need an otherwise sophisticated society where no serious history is taught.” -Christopher Hitchens on “Why Americans Are Not Taught History”

So to sum up both of these quotes, people will use pleasure and distraction instigated by the elites to maintain the status quo and allow tyranny to march unabated. It describes to a T the current situation in the U.S. and rest of the First World for that matter. The truth is easily accessible to anyone who searches for it but the elites know people would rather distract and pleasure themselves to the point of allowing the powers-that-be to do as they please so they feel no need to go Orwellian. That is why this story will be ignored except by those heavily vested in truth, liberty, and rationalism which unfortunately is a large minority.

    • Are you ready to include homosexual pride parades in that list of pleasure distractions???
I remember when the Log Cabin Republicans, “out of the closet” pro gun, got no respect from parade crowds back in the 1970s.

Now the annual Folsom Street Fair attracts over 400,000 people for public sex acts and BDSM leather activity, also in San Francisco.
There are several other sexual Festivals in the SF bay area. Lots of distractions to choose from.
The women of UT Austin walk around with strap on dildo’s to “protest” open carry of guns.
Combined with the legal use of medical Marijuana, for any requested reason, you can be intoxicated (distracted) for as long as you choose.

Just turn in your guns and you can have the most exciting and pleasurable public sex. And use crystal meth to improve your sexual experience.

  18. very few things can make my blood boil, this and the “enlistment sign on bonus payback” bill are 2 things that do it. glad the latter failed.

  19. Democrats using the death a black person for political advantage is not new. The lynching of black women and men was political fuel for democrat cannidates. It keeped them in power for over 160 years.

It was the Republican party that fought for anti-lynching laws, after the civil war. For some reason the democrat party liked the result of lynchings and fought the republicans.

The democrats have not changed. Only their tactics have changed to keep black people disarmed.

    • The political opportunism of the HRC Campaign and the willingness to be used by the black community is the disgusting situation we face as a country.

  20. I’m with her! Hillary Clinton will be our greatest wartime President, ever!
    #DraftOurDaughters

  21. Well, we know the ship of ever-expanding state of which Candidate Clinton is the current figurehead will sacrifice whatever number of black people it takes to advance their several agenda.

Their policies lead to this disproportionate killing among black people.

Their agenda consistently includes disarming lawful people, distracting from any action that might decrease thuggery preying on the black community.

Their campaign will wave any blood shirt they have made or found; they are happy with anything that advances their agenda, whatever the cost.

They are at least consistently enthusiastic.
