There was never any question whether or not Thomas Hagan assassinated American Muslim leader Malcolm X on February 21st, 1965. Although Hagan (a.k.a. Hayer) initially denied any involvement in the murder, the evidence against him was overwhelming. He eventually confessed to firing five of the 16 rounds that killed Malcolm X from a sawed-off shotgun. (The other weapons: a .38 revolver and a .45 semi-automatic). Even so, Hagan refused to implicate his co-conspirators—who were also jailed for the attack. twominutenews.com reports that the 69-year-old has just been granted parole, after 16 attempts (co-incidentally enough). Hagan has been on work-release for the last 20 years.
