We could say that all mass shootings are inspired by hatred, but many are carried out by deranged individuals, susceptible to violence and possessing no clear and distinct political or religious motives. These disturbed, mentally unstable people are unhinged by the strain of the postmodern age and what they see and experience.

They are receptive to the influences of the perverse degeneration of the popular culture, media sensationalism, and the pursuit of celebrity status, even if they pay with their own lives to achieve the dubious notoriety they seek. Shooting rampages by these types of individuals may be the most common type of mass shootings, at least in the United States.

But there are other types of spree shootings, which are clearly of different varieties, especially those triggered by fanaticism or intense racial, ethnic, or political hatred.

Some shootings are motivated by Jihad and “home grown” Islamic radicalism. Others, perhaps the most odious, are the result of perverted political ideology and the increasing hatred boiling over from the atmosphere of racial and ethnic divisiveness and polarization of politics, largely created by the incitement of violence, directly or indirectly, by the political left and the propagandist media.

On May 14, 2022, Payton Gendron, an alleged “white supremacist,” shot and killed 10 people and injured three others at Tops Market in Buffalo, New York. The media has sensationalized this shooting not only to push for more gun control laws, but also because of the alleged “white supremacist” killer and his racial motivation. Now we are learning that a former FBI agent may have known of the gunman’s plan to commit mass murder, according to two law enforcement officials investigating the case.

According to the Buffalo News, the two law enforcement sources stated that at least six individuals had been communicating with the accused shooter in an online chat room and were invited by Gendron to read about his murderous plans and the target location about 30 minutes before the shooting. None of these individuals tipped the police or FBI prior to the shooting. No other information has been made available to the public from the two officials familiar with the investigation, the FBI, or the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Suffice to say, the FBI and media propagandists have been heavily the racial hatred narrative, the white supremacy of the shooter, and the fact the gunman used an AR-15. Vice President Kamala Harris and Democrat activist Beto O’ Rourke are, once again, pushing for banning “assault weapons,” especially the AR-15, and in the case of O’Rourke, calling for outright confiscation of those who already possess them legally.

Nothing has been said about much bigger societal problems, such as the increased polarization of America since the Obama administration and the incitement of violence by Democrats and the media — for example, calling rioters “peaceful protestors,” the gaslighting and justifying their criminal behavior, violence, looting and plundering, as reasonable social justice.

In fact, rioters advanced the leftist agenda of promoting chaos that the Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media exploit as a pretext to pass still more laws that affect not the criminal elements in society, but law-abiding gun owners and business people. At the same time, the orchestrated riots provide plunder for the looters, while the public and businesses aren’t protected.

We know that all resources available to the press were utilized for sustaining the constant barrage of negative propaganda. That this takes place in our United States, a nation with a purportedly free and independent press, is unconscionable. That a fifth column within the intelligence community was also deeply involved is abominable.

Where are the objective and intrepid investigative journalists of the mainstream media that should have been investigating these momentous omissions, these gaps in our public knowledge, in the study of criminal mass shooters and the societal factors that contribute to them? And when is the media finally going to admit that armed citizens could have stopped some of these mass murderers or, at the very least, diminished the number of casualties?

      Among those booked into jail on misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to riot was Thomas Rousseau of Grapevine, Texas, who has been identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as the 23-year-old who founded the group after the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017. No attorney was immediately listed for him and phone numbers associated with him went unanswered Sunday.

      Also among the arrestees was Mitchell F. Wagner, 24, of Florissant, Missouri, who was previously charged with defacing a mural of famous Black Americans on a college campus in St. Louis last year.”

Push gun control and take out the legs of probable future Presidential front runner before Dems loose hold in November.       Seems that way because mostly they are and their intent is known/indicated to Law Enforcement/FBI before the incident happens.

      Of all the “mass shooters” in the last 30 years 80% of them were known (along with their intent) to a law enforcement agency or law enforcement individual or FBI before the incident took place.

  11. I am completely convinced that this is the case.

    I am equally convinced that the longer this goes on, the worse it’s going to get. The ONLY way to fix or even deal with any of it to any effective degree is going to require removing these people from power. There is NO working together. They HAVE to be removed. There are those that should be tried for treason. Some simply should be in prison. If we cannot get enough people in Washington with a spine then any effort will likely fail.

    I do not want to see bad things happen to anyone. I am very concerned that something will. What ever it is, It will NOT be small and people WILL be upset. Something MUST be done. Otherwise, outside interests will takeover. We are flirting with the situation in Ukraine happening here.

What is does have is everything to do with de-ranged persons of ALL political and religious persuasions, if any who have easy access to firearms and all to easy licensing requirments . It also has to do, IN MY OPINION with the LEGAL ability to purchase as any number of, and completely unnessessary firearms in the first place.
    I take the point that the American Constitution may well enshrine in law the legal possession of firearmns but as far as I know putting a limit on how many and of what type [and of course related ammunition] does NOT negate the supposed provisions of the American Constitution .
    Nobody NEEDS anything more than a single 9mm or .38 handgun for HOME self defence Nobody needs anything more than FIVE shot bolt action Rifle of a suitable calibre for hunting purposes and nobody need to hoile for immediate use any more than 25 rounds of ammunition for them [I might be persuaded to make an exceptioin for .22 rimfire for ‘plinking’ vermin and ‘target type firearms to be used on LICENSED ranges only. Though nobody actually knows how many ILLEGAL firearms are held in the USA and only a fiarly good ‘guesstimate’ of legal ones. The fact is that it is possible that the vast majority of LEGALLY PURCHSASED FIREARMS in the last century are still out there, even as family heirlooms and potentially still operationable. A well kept LEE ENFIELD .303 sMLE or one of it’s contemporaries is still as effective as it was in 1918. But a ‘one-gun’ policy as above would cut LEGAL firearms by approx 2/3rds at stroke without I believe compromising the American Constitution I

      Not long ago historically, you could buy a true automatic weapon thru the mail. Prior to 1934. There were very few incidents of the use of an auto in crime. The mob of the day were pretty much the only ones to use them in crime. Even a child could order a firearm in the mail. Were there school shootings? Mass murders? Very rare.

      Then after 1968 we had age limits, mandates for manufacturers to serialize firearms and new restrictions on who could possess firearms. This was a reaction to political assassinations and attempts. School shootings? Mass murder? Still rare prior to 68.

      Now there are many mass murders, school shootings and all the while firearms have been restricted more.

      The firearms have not really changed, just ergonomics and aesthetics. The availability has decreased as there are many factors in buying them that did not exist. Logically how can availability of firearms be the cause when they are less available today?

      • For those of you that have questions regarding Reagan and the Gun Control Act of 1968.

        In 1966 the Black Panther movement was started in Oakland California by black citizens who were tired of being harassed by police, so they started taking advantage of the law that allowed for the open carry of loaded firearms. As a result, Democrats, Republicans and the NRA decided to sponsor legislation to change California law so citizens could no longer open carry loaded firearms. In 1967 Governor Ronald Reagan signed into law the first major gun control legislation in California that restricted open carry. The second amendment was apparently fine until African-Americans wanted to exercise their rights under it.

        This started the avalanche of gun control laws including the Gun Control Act of 1968.

    • Sorry Albert. I have a need for at least 5 different firearms.
      None of which are a 9mm or a 38 special.
      First is my carry/defensive handgun. My old 1911 in .45ACP. Much more reliable as a manstopper than the 9mm or 38. Proven in 2 world wars, several military actions dating back to the Spanish American War. Next would be a .22 LR rimfire for dispatching small varmints or picking off the occasional paper target or tin can. Also used to teach basic marksmanship and firearm safety to my kids and now grand kids.
      Then is my 5.56mm varmint gun. Used for medium animals like coyotes, stray/feral dogs, and woodchucks. Next would be my main security weapon. A short barreled, but still legal length, 12 gauge shot gun. Able to use either buckshot, or slugs and short enough to be maneuverable. Pump action for reliability and ease of use.
      Next would be a semi-automatic 7.62×51 rifle for dealing with feral hogs and general large game hunting. If you have never had a sounder of very angry, or frightened hogs trying to make lunch of you, you may not understand the need. Ever see what kind of damage a hogs tusks can do to dogs or humans?
      And then a nice 12 gauge hunting shotgun. Good for ducks, geese, deer, or with lighter loads, quail, or squirrels.
      And, since I do try to get north to hunt larger game like buffalo or elk, or moose every couple years, I would add a large caliber rifle like a 45-70 or 50-120. Or perhaps an 8mm Mauser. Toss in the minor fact that I also like to collect both former military firearms and other antiques and collectable weapons, we need to boost that limit to whatever fits in the vault. Many of my firearms are both antique, but of historical value. And all still function and can, and sometimes are brought out and shot. A lot more fun than looking at some museum piece behind glass, and only allowed to wealthy and politically connected lords and estate owners.
      And, lastly, if it was limited to needs, we should all be driving Model T’s and fighting wars with swords, spears and axes. And still hunting with bows. Of course, you may approve of such if only because you seem to aspire to being nothing but a serf or peasant belonging to some overstuffed, self important Lord of the Manor.

  16. Dr. Faria, if Payton Gendron was not motivated by racial hatred for African Americans, instead of driving 200 miles to Buffalo he could have just gone to his local supermarket to murder people.

    Dylan Roof specifically chose an African American Church in Charleston South Carolina to murder African American parishioners. If he was looking to just murder Christians, there were plenty of other churches he could have chosen.

    You can blame the leftist “propagandist” mainstream media, but in many of these cases I have to ask about the family homes these young men grew up in and their lack of education, their lack of a career opportunities and their bleak future.

    As an example, one of the most uneducated and ignorant murderers of recent history was Wade Michael Page in his attack on a Sikh Temple in Oak Creek WI where he murdered 7 people and wounded four others in 2012. He went to this temple to kill Muslims, but because of his ignorance and blatant stupidity he did not understand that Sikh’s are not Muslims, as they do not follow the teachings of Mohammed as outlined in the Koran.

        Not trying to downplay an external influence, but that’s not true. His hatred started long before that and is part of the reason he was discharged from the Army in 1998 for patterns of “misconduct”. He was a ‘White Supremist’ for a long time and even in his pre-teen years had that hatred fermenting.

          Hmmm, not really. He kind of made it ‘popular’ because he used it frequently on his show and he originally used it in his first book “The Way Things Ought to Be”.

          But actually, its use originated (was inaugurated) in general use in the scientific and medical communities way before Rush used it. In the scientific community it was common to write something like “assumes room temperature” in relation to an experiment or examination of something in relation to temperature, in the medical community it was common in forensics for a coroner to write that a body had “assumed room temperature” or years ago if on scene of a crime for investigators to write the body was ‘assuming room temperature’ if the body had not been there very long and the person has just died.

      Tribalism is the only principle I can find in the left. “We” can do no wrong, and “they” can do no right. Facts, actual actions taken… irrelevant.

  19. Some of us remember the series of mass shootings directed against law enforcement back in 2016. All of these shooters were Black. All of these murderers of police officers had been radicalized and incited by the rhetoric of ANTIFA and the Black Lives Matter movement. All of these mass shooters were armed with so called “assault rifles” of somewhat exotic origin including the Styhr AUG. All of the memorial services for the victims of these mass shootings of police officers were eagerly exploited by President Obama to deliver a hateful eulogy that promulgated the ANTIFA / BLM propaganda. Every such speech delivered by President Obama incited yet another mass shooting of police officers by yet another Black man who had been radicalized and incited by BLM propaganda, including President Obama’s eulogy. These mass shootings of police stopped only when a police Department refused to have a public memorial service so as to deny President Obama the opportunity to incite even more violence.

    Lets not play dumb, here. You can argue his political affiliation all day but he left a blatant white supremacist manifesto and had a racial slur on the gun he used.

    Downplaying an uncomfortable fact of the shooting will only make the 2A community look bad . Instead of downplaying the racial issues here, Its far better for the 2A community to show that people like this don’t represent who we are. Just don’t do it by trying to pretend race wasn’t a factor.

    It’s hearts without God.
    Homes without discipline.
    Families without two loving, mentoring parents.
    Courts/DAs without Justice.
    Schools without God, prayer….except during shootings, kids praying to God for good guys with guns to come……to actually enter, act to stop Evil.

    Haven’t read it yet, just got a book by Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee titled ” Kids Who Kill – Confronting Gun Culture of Violence.” Book focus is “look at the facts behind the headlines to reveal why children are becoming increasingly violent at an alarming rate, and what parents, politicians, educators, and religious leaders must do to stop it” Written in 1998,but still a vital subject today. “….shows why legislation is not the answer; but, that our hope lies instead in reviving the vitality of America’s basic values: faith, family, work, community.” Tragic that 20+ years later the issue is still being debated, argued, and legislation being touted as the answer.

    Politicians with laws never stop bad guys with guns.
    They only control the good guys, which is their true agenda.

    These horrible events will not stop abate until they have been used to dis-arm America. Bodies of dead kids in schools, shoppers in stores, Shootcago streets are fodder, collateral damage for the underlying agenda.

    The new agenda for humanity requires that no one will have the capacity to fight back. It has been said: “Our Task of creating a Socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed.” No other explanation is possible.
