Anti-pistol plutocrat Michael Bloomberg recently expressed his desire to disarm African-American youths. Not to coin a phrase, FTS. All Americans have a natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms, regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation. More than that, it’s time that the NRA (or someone) to do a little “community organizing.” To go into minority communities to help law-abiding Americans negotiate the legal, technical and practical aspects of firearms ownership. Its not the answer to gang violence, but does that even matter? When you get right down to it, armed self-defense is its own reward. Now, song-i-fy that. [h/t DCS]

  1. Great video, maybe they should play this in the schools. The Black community can and has he ability to fix itself and more real talk like this is needed. Politicians and Bloomberg are too obtuse , the community needs some straight talk like this man.

  2. Maybe the NRA needs Wayne LaPierre to say “n*gger comes in here with some motherf*cking dreadlocks and steps up with an attitude, he gots to know that I’ll knock his motherf*cking sh*t back.” Somehow I don’t think anyone would ever “tolerate” that unless it was said by a black man.

By the end of this rant I winded up really liking this guy. I would really like to see him debate Shannon. That would be some entertainment!

  3. Perhaps the Yankee Marshall can change his motto to “I’m a Grown A** Mother******* Man” in honor of this gentleman.

  4. Refreshing to hear totally non-pc talk. Blacks don’t hold back when talking among themselves. Need to understand, word ni**er is accepted if spoken by a Black but not when used by a white. Good on this guy for plain speaking

    • I’ll have to tell my beautiful black wife it’s OK . As I kick the a##holes mouth. It ain’t OK…

    • I have found that the word is rarely used outside of antagonistic/derogatory contexts. It seems to be over represented in pop culture but it is at the least very context sensitive.

  5. Self defense is the natural, inherent right of all human beings, not just “Americans.” In fact, every living thing in the universe has the same inherent right to self defense.

  6. I wonder if this guy were not carrying during this encounter if he would be a statistic because of that punk. It’s a good thing he carries so he doesn’t have to put up with being shot, stabbed, beaten or robbed by dirt bags. The only problem is that punk has probably not learned his lesson from the encounter with this guy and will continue to harass people for BS.

    • Said dirtbag operates in confidence knowing that even among whites the CC rate is in the single digits, that many blacks have been indoctrinated to fear having a gun and that his fellow thugs are more likely to miss than the NYPD.

      • More carrying and less prosecution for DGU is the only thing that will nearly eliminate the problem. Will NDs increase? I imagine so. Will there be wrongful deaths from DGUs? Few. But if it just saves 10,000 lives a year, isn’t it worth it?

  7. I have to assume he’s LE. How else does someone CC in Chicago? And then, how does posting the video not get him in hot water?

  8. love my city. this place is a freaking pit. thumbsup to someone who tells it like it really is when you go to large parts of the city.

or maybe they should put up some ‘no guns’ stickers in the autozone too, you know, to keep people ‘safe’. hate this stupid town!

  9. Fuck yeah!
I’ve been called a racist because when people see I am from GA, they just assume. Then when I say Travon Martin caused his own death, that seems to confirm the racist redneck stereotype that I have been labeled.
But let me tell you something. I grew up in an upper middle class suburb that was 75% black by the time I was in High School. I lettered in three sports that had 90% black athletes on the team. I was the only white kid on the basketball team my junior year and we made the final four in GA AA class. Before I entered High School, My father offered to send me to private school just to get away from black people. I refused. I wish he made the offer based on academics and I had accepted but I did not mind my classmates. At my job, I am a minority.
Here is my point. I love this man in that video. Does the fact that he is black make a difference? Absolutely. Imagine a white man saying the same thing. But he is the kind of person I could hang with, be friends with and his blackness would not prevent that.
What I don’t want to hang with and be friends with are niggers, like the punk he is talking about. That’s right. I said it. I use it in context. I do not call black people that for their appearance. I call them that for their actions. I judge men by the content of their character.
I like this man’s approach to his true words in that I can’t imagine another black person calling him an “Uncle Tom”. And the fact that he posted it on Worldstar means he is reaching the people it was directed to.
Bravo sir! You won the internet!

    • I’m black and I don’t have a problem with what you said. Black people are tired of these thugs and we’re annoyed by the people who “raise” (for lack of a better word) them.

      • Thanks for your honesty. Do I know white folks that that are straight up racists? Sure. They exist in all communities.
My wife is a dental hygienist, and white. She had some old white cracker in her chair and he was going on about “n***er” this and “n***er” that. She shut his ignorant ass up real quick when she grabbed a sharp instrument and said “My husband is black. Now open wide.”

        • People just need to listen to each other instead of having these automatic knee-jerk reactions. When someone’s right, they’re right regardless of the language they use or their demeanor. I think therein lies the problem, people are afraid of being wrong and afraid of validating the opinions of those they may not like on a personal level.

At the end of the day, gun rights isn’t a racial issue, it’s a human being issue. I’ll stand with anyone that is a constitutionalist. I don’t care what they look like or where they’re from.

          • That’s true. However, I am in favor of an NRA leader that is black or even another black president except one that would be more in line with the Constitution. Allen West would not only get my vote, I would get involved in the campaign. The image of OFWG may not be right, but it is there. I want to shatter the whole Idea that American values and laws are “white laws”. I hear this all the time.

    • To me, “N-word” is a mindset, attitude, and lifestyle. Not a color. I know more white people that could be described as such than I do black. It also upsets me when I hear people using the term against Obama. He does not fit that label. That is prejudice based on color, used in anger. Now, I absolutely DETEST the current POTUS, but he certainly is not what one would typically affiliate with that term.

I think black people have every right to take that word and use it as they wish. Just as we did with “yankee”. It doesn’t bother me to hear “nigga this nigga that whussup my nigguh” coming from a black person. It’s become a part of the urban/hip hop lexicon, and it’s not going away. I don’t consider it a double standard. It’s all about context.

  10. The MAIG crew needs to get out of race baiting. Bloomberg and his ilk like to portray themselves as the saviors of all things but their policies only play to the racist point of view. Where in only they know what is right and for them an unarmed society is the best thing for them. Because they will be armed and protected by those who are armed. How wide of them.

  11. As Glenn Herman of NYC Guns points out, it was ALWAYS about disarming racial, ethnic and religious minorities and also those deemed politically unfavorable. In order not to be seen for the BIGOTS they are they have to go after all of us.

    Ray from Bloombergia

  12. Rob,

How about gun rights for all human beings. Any “American” right is just a privilege granted to a small percentage of the worlds population in a small geographic land mass.

  13. I have to agree with the man. Someone walk up to me and start getting all funny eyed asking me idiotic questions, especially if it’s a stupid fu—- kid, they are likely to learn real quick that you DON’T talk smack to an adult, cuz you’re very likely to get your nuts kicked into next week or slapped so hard they see stars for the next hour.
Start reaching in their pockets and acting even more stupid, they will be staring at the hollow point parked at the breach end of my barrel.
White, black, yellow, green, brown, everyone gets treated with respect until it’s time not to be respectful and I expect the same.

    • I remember a great line from a John Wayne movie, “The Shootist”:
“I won’t be wronged, I won’t be insulted, I won’t be laid a hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same of them.”

  14. I’ve had some debates over this video with some people over the past week. There are some people out there that think him drawing his weapon was inappropriate in this circumstance but you’re damn right if some kid rolls up on me and starts pestering me about my “colors” and then proceeds to reach in his pockets, I’m going to draw. No bones about it.

  15. If he talks like that on the Internet, he talks like that in front of his children.

Part of the problem, not the solution!

    • Last time I had something like that happen, I think my phonecall to my house sounded very similar in tone and context. People forcing me to draw down on them because they’re bottom feeders…I dunno man, it just gets me pissed off, you know?

  16. First time poster here. This video did it for me. I’m sharing this with all the people I care about who go on and on about not needing a firearm for self protection because incidents like this are never gonna happen to them. Great post TTAG keep it up.
