MasterPiece Arms is out with an add-on folding stock for their 9mm, .45ACP and 5.7mm carbines. While the press release doesn’t specify, it folds to the left and appears to allow the rifle to fire while the stock is folded. While we’d love to slap one on one of their guns to see for ourselves, TTAG’s on MasterPiece’s no-fly list. If you own an MPA gun and decide to give the folder a go, ping us at [email protected] and give us the full 411 . . .
COMER, GA (May 2013) – MasterPiece Arms, manufacturers of the MPA MAC Line of semi-auto submachine pistols and carbines, is pleased to announce the new MPA Side Folder Assembly Kit with Stock. The assembly kit includes a side folder mechanism, L-Bracket, a stock adaptor with 1 3/16 thread (accepts any AR-15 buffer tube), fasteners and the MPA low profile stock.
This complete system will allow an individual to attach the MPA Side Folding Stock to an MPA Carbine. The stock will fold toward the shooters left side, away from the ejection port. The side folder locks in both the “open” and “closed” position.
Please specify 9mm/5.7 caliber or 45ACP when placing the order. The 9mm/5.7 version will fit any 9mm or 5.7x28mm MPA Carbine (MPA930sst, 20sst, 5700sst). The 45ACP version will fit any 1sst Carbine (1sst).
Please note, if this item is added to any MPA Pistol, it will convert the weapon into an SBR, which is an NFA weapon. A tax stamp will be required to add this item to an MPA Pistol. NFA rules and law apply. Check with your local Class II dealer for details. MSRP is $129.99.
“ping us an [email protected]”
Could that be why you’re on MPA’s sh*t list? 🙂
Damn! Beat me to it!
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
That is the best typo I’ve seen in a long time.
Is TTAG on MPA’s “no-fly list” because of the video reviews of the Protector .380?
Yes.

Wait, you’re telling me TTAG posted a video of back to back FTFs for a review of a pistol they admited needed tweaking TWO YEARS AGO and MPA is still being moody about it?
So it folds back and to the left?
Back.. and to the left.
Too soon for that refrence?…lol.
At least it doesn’t have that “thing that folds up”.
It might make for a decent PDW as an SBR, though an Uzi seems like a better choice.
Interesting toy, I suppose, and I would be interested in buying one. However, as usual, a firearms manufacturer seems to want to lock in a permanent revenue stream with proprietary magazines. Or whomever’s mags their rifles take, they don’t appear to be Glock. And that’s pretty much the end of that story. Never mind.
I have been waiting for 2 mouths just to get the stock assembly,,, payed for it 6/10/20 they keep saying in 2 weeks it will be sent, its now 8/14/20 an still waiting
