Actually, I reckon the Swiss style lower with folding stock and mag will be a hit with existing SIG556 rifle owners, but where’s the headline in that?

  1. Why sell the lower by itself at all? It’s not as though there’s a huge market of custom Sig uppers to chooze from.

    • I feel like this announcement should have been paired with another one about a new line of sig55x uppers in a bunch of calibers. Otherwise the only market for this is people who own a 556 already and would prefer the authentic controls and the use of swiss magazines.

  2. My “Best of 2010” Shotgun News had as one of its “Best of 2010” an article about the first and only semi-auto replica Sturmgewehr 44. The Franklin Mint author warns that there will only be 200 produced ever! It fires an obscure and expensive cartridge from rare and expensive magazines, and can be yours for the low-low price of only $4995. There is no accounting for taste.
